Med122 reputation and risk: sexting, trolls and e-bile Rob Jewitt
The document discusses various online risks to reputation from new media technologies. It covers topics like sexting among teenagers, revenge porn, Facebook's evolution of privacy settings, and the harassment of public figures online. While social media allows greater self-expression, it also enables permanent public shaming and bullying through behaviors like trolling, flaming, and the non-consensual sharing of private images. Maintaining privacy and civil discourse online remains an ongoing challenge.

Cracking the Code of Emerging Social Media CommunicationsScott Rickard
This document discusses the impact of social media and emerging communications technologies on information sharing and collaboration. It notes that social media simplifies content collaboration and strengthens the quality and verifiability of sources. However, it also discusses how mainstream media often repeats falsified reports and how governments increasingly monitor user data and censor content. It raises concerns that many in western societies have been exposed to propaganda and that advertising, entertainment and artificial news media can mislead and distract.
The document discusses various scams and provides tips to protect yourself from identity theft and cybercrime. It notes that 1 in 3 people have had their personal information lost or stolen this year. Common scams mentioned include phishing emails, fake lottery or prize notifications, romance scams, and scareware that pretends to detect viruses. The document provides resources for reporting scams and checking if websites or emails are legitimate. It emphasizes using strong, unique passwords and caution with public WiFi networks.
Who's up NXT? A cross-generational view on NextGen marketingJoeri Van den Bergh
The current young population (Generation Y and Z) is the most diverse and best educated generation ever. They have been shaped by technology and are true marketing game changers. Old handbook marketing approaches are bound to fail with this large consumer demographic. High time for a cross-generational reality check!
In a recent InSites Consulting global research project (in cooperation with GMI) we talked to Baby Boomers, Gen X, Gen Y & Gen Z consumers, taking a closer look at what differentiates these new consumer generations in the market today from the post ones.
Lessons in ethics covering marketing, advertising, social and digital media, news coverage, public relations, and so much more. Feel free to use with attribution. Many examples used in this presentation.
Facebook has enabled facial recognition on uploaded photos to tag friends, though some complain of incorrect recognition. A German girl's public Facebook party invitation went out to 15,000 friends after being accidentally shared, with 1,600 attending. Anthony Weiner's accidental tweeting of an inappropriate photo led to Twitter's highest commenting volume. LinkedIn is the most valuable social network for profiles, while Facebook has declined in importance and Twitter is best for product discussions. Apple's iCloud allows syncing across devices, and an unlocked iPhone 4 is now available for $649. Google invested $280 million in solar energy projects. A study found word of mouth more influential than social media for social causes. Americans were deemed the world's funniest people
This document summarizes various news stories from the fields of social media, digital media, public relations, and current events from July 1, 2011. Key topics included Obama holding the first Twitter town hall, the popularity of various social networks, the rise of location-based check-ins, and Google investing $280 million in renewable energy projects. It also mentions the death of a multimillionaire dog and Bob Barker advising against visiting SeaWorld.
Social engineering, cybernetics and archaeology/genealogy of social movements //disruptiVesemiOtics//
This document appears to be a collection of internet links and commentary on a variety of loosely connected topics including state surveillance, secret societies, police corruption, and agenda 21 conspiracies. It criticizes government agencies and officials, accuses them of fabricating evidence and controlling the flow of information. References are made to satellite surveillance being used to record staged social interactions and fabricate accusations of acquaintance between targets. Police are described as "pigs" implementing totalitarian agendas. Masonic groups and secret societies are also criticized.
The document discusses various identity theft and cybercrime issues. It notes that identity fraud is at an all-time high according to a 2010 report. The rise of social media has created opportunities for identity thieves to target personal information from social networking profiles. One in three people have had their personal information lost or stolen this year. The document provides tips on protecting yourself such as using strong and unique passwords, changing them frequently, and being wary of phishing scams.
The document outlines 10 indicators of extreme poverty in developed nations: 1) Segregation limits cultural richness, 2) Individualism promotes a deluded sense of self, 3) Cities are designed for cars, not people, 4) Mainstream media promotes simplistic stereotypes, 5) Depression and addiction rates are increasing, 6) Economic and social disparities are growing, 7) Gun violence and suicide rates are high, 8) Isolation and technology dependency are issues, 9) Developing nations bear the costs of pollution and brain drain, and 10) Imposition leads to global isolation. However, these problems also contain opportunities for positive change.
The document provides an overview of recent public opinion polling data related to the U.S. economy. Several key findings are highlighted:
- Most economic indicators have improved over the last year, but a plurality believe the economy will remain the same in the coming year. Americans credit consumers and businesses more than President Obama for economic improvements.
- While views of the economy are slightly better than last year, most still feel the nation is headed on the wrong track. Gas prices heavily influence family finances.
- Opinions on trade are mixed, though a majority see opportunities over threats. However, Americans are unsure if trade benefits outweigh costs. Most support recent trade agreements but some Western nations are less optimistic.
This document contains Jan Bak's reflections on various concepts and terms from different perspectives, including:
- Inflation from what people think it means versus what it means to Bak
- Flyover country from different perspectives
- Meritocracy from different viewpoints
- And several other terms analyzed in the same way
It also includes some charts and statistics about the US economy, education system, and largest companies. There are brief contemplations at the end on various everyday topics.
Facebook has enabled facial recognition on uploaded photos to tag friends, though some complain of incorrect recognition. A German girl's public Facebook party invitation went out to 1,600 friends despite cancellation. Anthony Weiner's tweeted crotch photo caused Twitter's highest comment volume, surpassing Bieber and Bin Laden. LinkedIn is the most valuable social network, while Facebook has declined in importance according to a study. Americans were found to be the funniest country in a global poll.
The document discusses different types of information such as reported, observed, and data from other sources. It explores qualitative versus quantitative data and warns about making assumptions from data. Various examples and sources are provided to illustrate issues around measurement and using digital tools and data.

Research in clinical suicidology continues to rapidly expand, much of it with implications
for day-to-day clinical practice. Clinicians routinely wrestle with how best to integrate
recent advances into practice and how to do so in efficient and effective fashion. This
article identifies five critical domains of recent research findings and offers examples
of simple questions that can easily be integ.

Massachusetts has a unique archaeological resource in its many colonial graveyards. These contain a large number of precisely dated “artifacts” in the form of headstones and provide an opportunity for studies of the ways in which different aspects of British colonial and Euro- American culture have changed over time. For this assignment, you will visit a local cemetery of your choosing and use the headstones and other associated material culture to address questions aimed at understanding demographic, social, symbolic, or technological issues in the past. This assignment does not require any archaeological excavation, and your instructor and federal, state, and local laws expressly forbid you from doing any! The project also does not require you to do any additional background research, although you are welcome to do so. Please
respect these cemeteries, the individuals buried therein, and any visitors you may encounter during your study.
You must follow these steps:

The downtown locations have been studied at length as they are all regularly served by the MBTA. Several “off-the-beaten-track” locations, such as the Tollgate Cemetery in Forest Hills, is also served by transit and has not been visited by my students in the past. Democracy, at its core, is centered on the idea that individuals can, in fact,
rule themselves. This concept is enshrined in the U.S. Constitution as we
know it today. However, early on the American Constitution was not a sound,
democratic document. In particular, the idea of popular sovereignty; that is,
the will of the people, was not extended to everyone. For example, as you
read this week, the framers, for a time, chose to retain slavery in the new
Republic. In addition to slavery, in what other areas was the Constitution of
1788 less than democratic? In what ways has the Constitution, since then,
become more democratic? Be sure to provide examples to support your
claims.
Submission
Our discussions are a valuable opportunity to have thoughtful conversations
regarding a specific topic. You are required to provide a comprehensive
initial post with 3-4 well-developed paragraphs that include a topic
sentence and at least 3-5 supporting sentences with additional details,

• Ryanairs operations have been consistently plagued with emp.docxVannaJoy20
• Ryanair's operations have been consistently plagued with employee
discontent and protests (Temming, 2017). Communication between Line
Managers and employees has been tensed, and performance has suffered as a
result. The Company would benefit from the strategic positioning and
interpersonal skills of the Human Resource Business Partner.
• As an employee advocate, he or she would engage employees in dialogue and
ensure that whatever findings are made are brought to the attention of the line
manager promptly to be addressed.
• Also, as a collaborative partner, he would assist in channeling the needs of the
line manager in a way that will be understood and well received by
subordinates.
• Effective communication would eventually lead to mutual understanding and
benefit for all parties.
• It would go a long way in developing a strong company culture where
individuals are not afraid to express their thoughts and ideas. and would shift
focus away from conflict towards meeting Organizational goals.
01 CONSTRUCTIVE COMMUNICATION
BETWEEN MANAGEMENT AND STAFF
02 EFFECTIVE CHANGE
MANAGEMENT
• The Greek Philosopher, Heraclitus stated that “Change is the only
constant of life” (Rothwell et al., 2015). This statement is pertinent to the
rapidly changing business climate (Lauer, 2019, p3) in which Ryanair
finds itself.
• A company’s readiness and reaction to change are important in
determining success. From our current state analysis, we discovered
that several tasks may be expedited and optimized with the introduction
of new technology.
• However, this must be introduced strategically to prevent resistance.
The role of the Human Resources Business Partner is essential in this
regard.
• He or She would determine the need for change and ensure reception of
the change by employing effective communication strategies
(McCracken et al., 2017).
• Apart from a change in technology, other elements that may undergo
transformation include processes, policies, personnel, amongst others.
It is important that these changes are taken in stride so that they do not
forestall operations.
03 FOCUSED TRAINING AND
CAPACITY BUILDING
• The Business Partner would be instrumental in identifying
areas requiring competency improvements (Onen, 2013) in
Ryanair.
• Through a series of activities such as performance reviews
and data analysis, as well as knowledge of the business, and
interactions with staff, the business partner would tailor
training programmers to drive outcomes that matter and meet
the company's needs and vision.
• Doing so would be of benefit not only to employees but to
Ryanair, who would see improved performances and save
costs that would have gone into retraining because of an
inefficient programme.
EFFECTIVE STRATEGY
DEVELOPMENT
• Ryanair would benefit from the HRBP's skills and
knowledge in developing strategic plans that create value
for future business successes.
• He or she would ensure that plans align with the needs and
expectations .

Pathological Conditions in Older Adults
As one goes through the natural aging process, the body's capacity to defend itself against infections diminishes. The immune system's ability to offer protection is reduced, and the individual becomes susceptible to conditions that affect them more than other age groups (Haynes, 2020). This population also experiences other symptoms impairing other aspects of their lives as time passes. For instance, their skin and bones lose their integrity and become more prone to abrasions and breakage. This assignment module will examine the pathological conditions that affect the sexual response in older adults and how and why nutritional and psychological factors, drugs, and other alternative and complementary medications affect the immune system of the populations.
Pathological Conditions that Affect Sexual Response in Older Adults
Sexuality is an essential aspect of life, irrespective of the age group one is in—the older population and the younger generation alike need to explore sexuality to maintain health and well-being. Exploring sexuality is also a mixture of biological, psychological, social, and religious factors, all of which have plenty to do with aging. Among the pathological conditions that affect sexual response in the elderly include
Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause
These are the changes experienced in the genitourinary pathway as one age. The individual can feel a burning sensation, dryness, or irritation. This can lead to painful sexual encounters, which can, in turn, reduce their desire to engage and their response.
Dementia
This is a degenerative disorder of the mental faculties, predominantly among the elderly (National Institute on Aging, n.d.). Their judgment diminishes, making them disinterested or utterly unaware of their sexual experiences. Some forms of the condition have been shown to increase sex or closeness, but the individual may fail to recognize what is appropriate and what is not.
Diabetes
As a chronic condition experienced mainly by this population, it can lead to yeast generation, leading to itchiness around the sex organs, making sex unpalatable. The situation can, however, be addressed with medication.
Incontinence
This is a condition where one experiences bladder leakage caused by poor control (National Institute on Aging, n.d.). It is most prevalent among the population an.

How to Manage Reception Report in Odoo 17Celine George
A business may deal with both sales and purchases occasionally. They buy things from vendors and then sell them to their customers. Such dealings can be confusing at times. Because multiple clients may inquire about the same product at the same time, after purchasing those products, customers must be assigned to them. Odoo has a tool called Reception Report that can be used to complete this assignment. By enabling this, a reception report comes automatically after confirming a receipt, from which we can assign products to orders.

THE SACRIFICE HOW PRO-PALESTINE PROTESTS STUDENTS ARE SACRIFICING TO CHANGE T...indexPub
The recent surge in pro-Palestine student activism has prompted significant responses from universities, ranging from negotiations and divestment commitments to increased transparency about investments in companies supporting the war on Gaza. This activism has led to the cessation of student encampments but also highlighted the substantial sacrifices made by students, including academic disruptions and personal risks. The primary drivers of these protests are poor university administration, lack of transparency, and inadequate communication between officials and students. This study examines the profound emotional, psychological, and professional impacts on students engaged in pro-Palestine protests, focusing on Generation Z's (Gen-Z) activism dynamics. This paper explores the significant sacrifices made by these students and even the professors supporting the pro-Palestine movement, with a focus on recent global movements. Through an in-depth analysis of printed and electronic media, the study examines the impacts of these sacrifices on the academic and personal lives of those involved. The paper highlights examples from various universities, demonstrating student activism's long-term and short-term effects, including disciplinary actions, social backlash, and career implications. The researchers also explore the broader implications of student sacrifices. The findings reveal that these sacrifices are driven by a profound commitment to justice and human rights, and are influenced by the increasing availability of information, peer interactions, and personal convictions. The study also discusses the broader implications of this activism, comparing it to historical precedents and assessing its potential to influence policy and public opinion. The emotional and psychological toll on student activists is significant, but their sense of purpose and community support mitigates some of these challenges. However, the researchers call for acknowledging the broader Impact of these sacrifices on the future global movement of FreePalestine.

fear, anxiety - Breitbart

For a number of Black men and women, resisting arrest during
encounters with police for
minor traffic stops have been deadly. Experts say anxiety levels
of the people stopped and
even the officers involved can be high, adding to the tension.
George Floyd’s 2020 slaying by Minneapolis police Officer
Derek Chauvin, the 2014
strangulation death of Eric Garner by a New York City officer
and the shooting death of
Michael Brown that same year by an officer in Ferguson,
Missouri, are among high-profile
encounters that proved deadly for Black men.
A store employee called police, saying Floyd allegedly tried to
pass a counterfeit $20 bill.
Police stopped Garner on suspicion of selling untaxed
cigarettes. An officer confronted
Brown and a companion as they walked to Brown’s home from a
convenience store. Brown
was shot after scuffling with the officer. All three men were
unarmed.
26. “Because of the way police are commonly portrayed, there can
be anxiety for young men of
color when they are pulled over,” said Jason Johnson, president
of the Law Enforcement
Legal Defense Fund. “‘Am I going to get a ticket? Am I going
to get arrested?’ They may
believe they are going to be a victim of abuse. Many times they
enter into these
interactions thinking they are going to be a victim of brutality.”
In 2015, a white police officer in Columbia, South Carolina,
pulled over Walter Scott, a 50-
year-old Black man, for a broken brake light. A bystander’s
video captured the two
tumbling to the ground after the officer hit Scott with a Taser.
The officer then shot Scott
as he tried to run.

In Lyoya’s case, some — including his family and their high-
profile attorney, Ben Crump —
have said the 26-year-old Congolese refugee was slain for
having a license plate that did
not belong to the vehicle. While that’s why the officer stopped
Lyoya, Johnson said, that’s
not why Lyoya was killed.
“It’s one of the disconnects or misunderstandings between the
police and the public,”
Johnson said. “If you look a little bit deeper, that’s not what
happened. (Lyoya) had a
number of opportunities to comply with the officer’s directions.
This use of deadly force
had nothing to do with a traffic violation and everything to do
with (Lyoya) actively
resisting arrest.”
Lyoya’s actions led “down the path that ultimately ended in
deadly force,” Johnson added.
Grand Rapids police on Wednesday released video of the April
4 stop, including from the
officer’s vehicle and body camera, from a bystander’s cellphone
and from a doorbell
camera. The videos show the brief foot chase and a struggle as
the white officer repeatedly
tells Lyoya to stop. At one point, Lyoya has his hand on the
officer’s stun gun, and the
34. officer yells at him to let go.

The struggle ended when the officer shot Lyoya in the head as
Lyoya was facedown, with
the officer straddling him.
Scott Roberts, senior director of criminal justice and democracy
campaigns at Color of
Change, a national racial justice organization, said officers ar e
often fearful given the
dangers involved with making stops. But that doesn’t negate
that Black motorists suffer for
showing or expressing their justified fears in traffic stops, he
said.
“Looking at police culture, there is just this pushback on the
notion that policing is rooted
in white supremacy and has been a tool of white supremacy,”
Roberts said. “And so there
is a kind of denial of why Black people would have that fear.
You’ve already criminalized
the person when you’re making a pre-textual stop. Your
assumption is going to be that this
is only a confirmation of their guilt, that fear.”
Roberts added that these dynamics have increasingly led cities,
48. prosecutors and police to
enact policies that deemphasize or end stops for minor
infractions.
Skin color and experiences could skew how all parties interpret
interactions and
confrontations between Black Americans and white officers,
said Paul Bergman, professor
emeritus of law at UCLA.
“Cultural narratives may lead white officers as well as Black
officers to anticipate trouble
when the person they are stopping is Black,” he said.
In Lyoya’s case, “was he more likely to be pulled over because
he was Black?” Bergman
asked. “If he wasn’t Black, would this be more of a minor
infraction and would the police
officer think he had better things to do?”

threatening,” Bergman added.
“Lawfully, you’re expected to comply with lawful demands. The
place to argue if you think
it’s unlawful is later. We’re expected to fight those arguments
out in courts and not in the
street.”
Amara Enyia, policy and research manager for the Movement
for Black Lives, a coalition
of more than 150 Black-led organizations, said the fear that
Black motorists feel is rooted
in generations of adversarial relations with police.
When stops for license plates, broken taillights or improper lane
changes turn into violent
arrests or fatal encounters, departments turn to old solutions,
such as anti-bias training,
that have failed to make a difference, Enyia said.
“You just have to wonder how many billions and billions of
dollars does it take to train that
kind of bias out of someone,” she said. “Instead of making
structural changes to the entire
system, you have to rely on the benevolence, goodwill or
altruism of a police officer to stay
alive in what is otherwise a routine traffic stop.”
