Topic and Question
Topic five: Interventions to improve additional nutritional status: What type of interventions improve adherence to recommendations on nutritional intake?
Define the Topic and Question
This topic question is defined by interventions to enhance adherence to dietary advice for preventing and managing chronic diseases in adults. By introducing these interventions earlier, it will be possible to prevent people from being affected by chronic diseases.
Overview/Significance of the Problem
The acceptance and implementation of a healthy diet has been recognized as the foundation for managing, preventing, and fighting chronic diseases. However, the inability to be dynamic and diversify one’s life diet can lead to significant problems. It is also vital that people know that people acknowledge the importance of obeying dietary counsel since one’s adherence level can determine the efficiency of dietary treatment. The ability of one to diversify his diet reduces the risk of developing food allergy and intolerance (Ball et al., 2016). Additionally, the lack of education has been mostly associated with a poor quality and less diversified diet in people with diabetes (Tiew, Chan, Lye & Loke, 2014). It is, therefore, evident how the ability to diversify and be dynamic on one’s diet improves the nutritional status.

This paper discusses the unprecedented complexities and issues related to dementia and particularly people living with dementia (PWD) and research in the field utilizing the quantitative measures to understand the severity of the symptoms as stipulated by Pan et al. (2013) of 51 patients with vascular dementia. The primary focus of the study is based on the demographics of old or aging populations who have been outlined as people at higher risks and prevalence of vascular and dementia complexities.
Problem/Patient Population
The research analysis presents the aging population as the primary population considering that dementia affects people in their senior years. The severities of the behavioral and psychological symptoms consistent with vascular dementia are outlined based on the metrics set through quantitative measures for 51 patients in three environments, diurnal, evening and nocturnal events. Considering that dementia dimension is mainly characterized by amnesia and memory loss the conflict in concern with this population, especially with the old or aging population, is presented through the effective delivery of care to and achieveing better patient outcomes for the PWD. patients. It is critical to note that dementia reduces the functionalities of the patients, thereby increasing the risks of other issues includingsuch as becoming unfit due to lack of exercise. among other concerns.
Intervention
For this particular group of patients, the intervention is solely based on improving outcomes and maintaining a comfortable lifestyle for the outlined patients at risks (Hughes & Common, 2015). The intervention is based on a combination of two aspects:; exercise and medication. By iIntegrating a routine exercises plan to for patients with dementia, it has been shown that exercise can to improve memory loss symptoms as well as keep improving the patient fitness. It has been shown that rRegular exercise results in an improvements of brain functions in two ways; both indirect methods and direct methods. Researchers used the Health Belief Model (HBM) to account for respondents’ lack of knowledge and the negative effects of cultural variations on their actions. Using the most up-to-date ideas during planning and development is essential for achieving desired outcomes (Ghosh & Saboo, 2022). Education is a useful tool in treating insulin resistance in people with diabetes. As a strength of the research, patients with diabetes with education had better glycemic control, higher medication adherence, and more developed self-management abilities, as documented by Liu et al. (2021). Unfortunately, it is difficult to draw firm conclusions from the studies because of the limitations that exist in some of them. Some research, for instance, relies on participants’ self-reports, which could be inaccurate or biased, which is one of the study’s shortcomings. The difficulty in comparing the efficacy of education to that of other interventions or standard care is compounded by the fact that some studies need a control group. Furthermore, the effects of education on other outcomes, such as quality of life or healthcare utilization, are rarely evaluated in studies (Tucker et al., 2021). So, more studies are required to evaluate the long-term effects of education on insulin resistance treatment and its cost-effectiveness compared to alternative interventions. In addition, further research is needed to determine the best methods for customizing patient education to meet each person’s unique requirements.

Summer 2022
Abstract
The prevalence of obesity and sedentary lifestyle complications are increasing at alarming rates, representing a common but preventable cause of severe medical complications like diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and early mortality. This chronic condition has been for a long time a public health concern and social determinant. The Fitbit app offers a unique opportunity to enhance the efficacy of weight loss plans as it is used to track activity, monitor steps, heart rate, energy expenditure, sleep, and sedentary behavior. The integrative review focused on how the American Heart Association (AHA) Diet and Lifestyle recommendations and the Fitbit app are used as innovative solutions to reduce obesity in adult patients.
Research Methodology: A systematic review was conducted to identify research articles completed in the preceding 4-5 years centered on obesity care, diet, physical activity, activity trackers, and lifestyle implications.
Results and Discussion: The databases searched were Chamberlain Library, PubMed, and CINHAL. Initial searches yielded over 2000 articles, of which 45 were chosen and examined because they fit the integrative review's theme. The 15 papers most relevant to the PICOT question were studied in further detail and appraised using the Johns Hopkins Evidence Appraisal table. The studies reported positive physical activity outcomes.
Conclusions and Further Recommendations:This systematic review supported the effectiveness of the AHA Diet and Lifestyle recommendations to reduce obesity, and clinical use generalization is recommended. Fitbit app provides new ways to improve physical activity habits, and the easy availability of electronic devices may enhance their generalizability use.
Keywords: Obesity care; Obesity complications; Lifestyle recommendations; Obesity management; Physical activity intervention using Fitbit activity trackers.

Hi, Jude. Your Turnitin report showed that 74% of your draft matches sources that were not cited properly. Please review the plagiarism tutorial in the syllabus, and review the APA materials on how to cite sources. Paraphrase your sources whenever possible; this shows you understand the material and can restate it in your own words. This also enables you to claim ownership of the language while still giving credit for the ideas. When you use source material verbatim, make sure to place it in quotation marks. Avoid copying and pasting large chunks of text. Even if you include proper citations, your essay will lack originality. Please review the attached Turnitin report so you can see which sections need attention. I will review your draft and update your score once you've rewritten it in your own words and cited sources properly. Please note the late policy in the syllabus. Sedentary lifestyle is predominant in our everyday life be it in workplace, school, social or homes and the fact is we have got accustomed to sitting down and doing many things forgetting the impact this is causing to our health. People fail to realize how valuable exercise is in their life and especially in improving their health and well-being. Sitting down on the computer with all focused attention and forgetting that we need to get up and even eat cause problems to many people.

The research question for the study conducted by Guesdes, et al (2010) is based on the following: 1.what is the result of the defining characteristics and related factors of sedentary lifestyle diagnosis in patients with high blood pressure? 2. What are the predictive value and possible predictors of the nursing diagnosis sedentary lifestyle in patients with high blood pressure? The study looked at the validation of diagnostic groupings of the population being studied including aspects of their clinical situations. The study looked at diagnosis resulting from insufficient physical activity, intolerance of activity, fatigue, impaired physical mobility, self-care deficit.

Introduction
An individual’s nutritional status mainly results from various factors interacting at different levels (Shirakabe et al., 2018). Nevertheless, an individual’s eating pattern is an essential factor that dictates disease occurrence, particularly some chronic conditions like hypertension, cancer, stroke, heart disease, and diabetes. Again, adverse outcomes, including malnutrition, poor life quality, low birth weight, mortality, and disability, are relative to poor eating patterns. Therefore, recognizing diet’s role at the onset of disease and evaluating the nutritional status of a community, family, and individual are essential public health. In this case, nutritional assessment help to obtain information concerning the geographical distribution and prevalence of nutritional disorders in a community or a specific population group. The assessment also aids in planning corrective measures and examining the effectiveness of applied strategies simultaneously.
Article Search
Identifying recently published articles that support present nutritional status evaluation is necessary to locate essential evidence for the topic. Hence, it was imperative to determine scholarly academic sources whose publications range within the past five years to facilitate up-to-date information that applies to the paper’s focus. In this case, I used search terms “Malnutrition,” “Mini Nutritional Assessment,” and “Diets” in the NCBI and PubMed search databases. Here, I located the articles “Assessing and Evaluating Nutritional Status, Diets, and Physical Activity” and “Evaluation of Nutritional Status of Elderly Patients Presenting to the Family Health Center” using this technique to find information that supports nutritional status assessment.
Article Findings
The findings in the articles emphasize the significance of implementing nutritional status assessments to maintain individuals’ health status. Cross-sectional research took place at a domestic health center in Turkey. The study sample consisted of 102 patients in FHC without severe dementia, communication problems, or psychiatric conditions (Nazan & Buket, 2018). Participants completed an MNA questionnaire regarding daily meal numbers, feeding mode, fluid and protein consumption, anthropometric measurements, and patients’ self-view concerning health and nutritional status. In the study, 31% of the participants had malnutrition risk, while 13% were malnourished. The findings showed that malnutrition prevalence was higher in males, and malnutrition risk increases with age in any geriatric population. Again, patients with malnutrition portrayed severe appetite loss. Generally, the study shows that the malnutrition rate increase rapidly in parallel with the global elderly growth. Hence, the article addresses the topic because the application of nutritional screening examinations for the elderly people would facilitate health me ...

Topic Background
The topic on medication adherence among diabetic home healthcare patients using the MAP resources was chosen because there is a continue steady rise in chronic diseases that has resulted in more patient care options (Polonsky & Henry, 2016).
Home-based healthcare has existed since 1909 (Choi et al., 2019). Present-day, home-based healthcare is often selected due to an individual’s personal preferences.
While home-based healthcare is not appropriate for all patients, Szanton et al. (2016) noted that this care option is best when an individual’s condition can be managed without admission to a hospital.

Problem Statement
It is not known if or to what degree the implementation of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Medication Adherence Project (MAP) resources impact patient medication adherence rates when compared to current practice among Type II diabetic home healthcare patients in urban Texas.
According to the healthcare agency’s electronic health record (EHR), home healthcare providers documented that ten percent of diabetic home healthcare patients are not adhering to their medication regimen.
Medication non-adherence can be ascribed to a lack of drug-related knowledge, high prescription prices, and a lack of understanding of the medication regimen. This is why reinforcing the need for this quality improvement project (Heath, 201 ...
Abstract Quality improvement methods are vital in treati.docxrobert345678
Abstract
Quality improvement methods are vital in treating biopsychosocial conditions. Diabetes is a chronic disease that requires follow-
up care to prevent comorbidities. With an increased population suffering from diabetes, mainly type 2 diabetes, traditional
treatments are ineffective, and a new treatment approach should be adopted. While this is deemed a plausible solution to curb the
increase of diabetes, research indicates that 70% of quality improvement initiatives fail within twelve months of implementation
(O'Donoghue et al., 2021). Therefore, stakeholders must follow proposed improvements methods closely to achieve meaningful
and sustainable change. To combat widespread chronic diseases such as diabetes, strategies such as self-management support,
intensified treatment, encouraged physical activity, and patient education plays a crucial role in managing a patient's condition.
The disease heavily relies on one self-management abilities. The proposed strategies aim to achieve patient adherence to prevent
other health effects that can be otherwise be contained and ensure that mental distress often experienced by diabetes patients is
adequately dealt with.

Quality Improvement Methods
• The word "quality improvement" refers to the practice of enhancing
the intended outputs of an existing process. Typically, this would need
previous knowledge of the process and the areas that may be
improved.
• Once a problem has been identified, it is critical to develop a plan of
action to improve the outcomes in that area. Recent studies have
indicated the sufficient evidence-to-clinical practice gap in diabetes
care (Mukerji et al., 2019). Upon discovering this, several plans of
action are required to improve the gaps in care delivery towards
diabetes patients.
• While most providers concentrate on the physical aspect of the
patient's health, research indicates that diabetes patients are often
affected by depression and diabetes distress ( Gary et al., 2019). This
results in underdiagnosis and undertreatment of diabetes patients,
which impedes patients' chances of managing their health condition.
• With the identification of this, challenges within primary care must be
addressed to ensure that there is sufficient screening for both
depression and diabetes distress.
• Several strategies must be applied to sufficiently monitor the patient:

Introduction
The continued prevalence of type II diabetes has been blame d on sedentary lifestyle, but for a long time now, health experts have suggested dietary and lifestyle changes to reverse the trend, which may include but no limited to healthy eating and regular exercise. Scholars and clinicians have been evaluating the impact of the obesity on individuals and resources dedicated to curb the problem as not confined only to health impacts such as various types of diabetes and high-blood pressure, but also economic-wise. To shed more light on the issue of type II diabetes, this review compares the research questions, sample population, and limitation of various research studies regarding the topic of dietary and lifestyles changes for type 2 diabetic patients.
Comparison of Research Questions
According to Czupryniak et al (2010), the underlying question for the question is the impact of bariatric surgery on morbidly obese type II patients. However, as compared to Brun et al (2008), seek to answer the question of the targeted endurance training as weight reduction as well as fitness strategy on type II diabetic patients. Similarly, Umpierre (2011) seeks to determine the difference between physical activity exercise and structured exercise training on the regulation of glucose on type two patients. While prior scholars have dealt with lifestyles changes and surgery, Asemi et (2011) sought to answer the question of the impacts of “multispecies probiotic supplements on metabolic profiles, hs-CRP, and oxidative stress in diabetic patients.” While surgery is not a common way of managing weight for diabetic patients Picot et al (2012) echoes Czupryniak et al (2010) in trying to answer the question of the effectiveness of bariatric surgery as a way of managing weight on diabetic patients. Evidently, both lifestyle and dietary changes are some of the strategies used to manage complications associated with type II diabetes but there are other uncongenial ways such as bariatric surgery to manage weight in diabetic patients.
Comparison of Sample Populations
Picot et al (2012) searched 17 electronic sources, which is an according to the scholars, the meta-analysis was carried out strictly on studies that met criteria of the subject matter. Conversely Asemi et al (2013) randomly selected a sample size of 54 diabetic patients for their research. While the two studies use different reach methods, it is evident that quantitative research is more reliable in terms of sample size that qualitative research. Also, Brun and colleagues randomly selected 25 diabetic patients for their study, which pales only three (3) patients selected by Czupryniak and colleagues. Comparatively, Ninot et al (2011) randomly selected a total of 38 diabetic patients for their study, but the difference between this study and o ...
Rogers diffusion of innovation theory is a particularly good th.docxdaniely50
Roger's diffusion of innovation theory is a particularly good theoretical framework to apply to an EBP project. However, students may also choose to use change models, such as Duck's change curve model or the transtheoretical model of behavioral change. Other conceptual models, such as a utilization model (Stetler's model) and EBP models (the Iowa model and ARCC model) can also be used as a framework for applying your evidence-based proposal in clinical practice. Apply one of the above models and carry your implementation through each of the stages, phases, or steps identified in the chosen model.
In 500-750 words (not including the title page and references page), discuss applying one of the change models to the implementation plan:
Identify the selected model or theoretical framework and discuss its relevance to your project.
Discuss each of the stages in the change model/framework.
Describe how you would apply each stage in your proposed implementation.
In addition, create a conceptual model of the project. Although you will not be submitting the conceptual model you design in Topic 4 with the narrative, you will include the conceptual model in the appendices for the final paper.
You are required to cite three to five sources to complete this assignment. Sources must be published within the last 5 years and appropriate for the assignment criteria and nursing content.
Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.
Please add 5 references that are 5 years or less. I have attached my most current essay to help you with the essay.

Proposed solutions
Diabetes mellitus type 2 is generally considered a lifestyle condition and this makes it more prevalent among individuals from lower socioeconomic status. This is because of the many barriers that prevent such individuals from accessing quality healthcare. Thus, providing improved and better healthcare to such people can be very crucial in reducing the prevalence of Diabetes mellitus type 2 (Ong et al., 2018). Achieving this would require adequately funding the healthcare facilities especially in areas where people with lower socioeconomic status live to facilitate preventive care for type 2 diabetes. Also, ensuring there is an adequate number of healthcare providers such as nurses and physicians especially in the remote areas where an individual from low-income communities’ lives is crucial in reducing the prevalence of type 2 diabetes (Ong et al., 2018). This will ensure such individuals have access to quality healthcare concerning diabetes whenever they need it. Health promotional services that involve encouraging people to practice good dietary and healthy lifestyles can offer important solutions in the management of diabetes (Butler, 2017).

Summary of Clinical Issue (200-250 words):
Childhood obesity is one of the problems that affect the United States and other developed economies. Obesity among children and youths is widely recognized as an issue that generates a lot of adverse health impacts. For instance, childhood obesity is a major indicator of future mental and physical health problems. In spite of the highest rates of childhood obesity in the country in the last three decades, obesity has been linked to other more serious health problems such as cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. As nurses and other health professionals continue to grapple with this problem, there are still no clear treatment approaches. Health professionals usually do not have a comprehensive guideline on where to manage the nearly one-third of their populations who present the medical care with obesity that coexists with other medical conditions and problems. Numerous treatment models have been proposed to address this rising public health concern. These approaches often include use of the traditional interventions such as pharmacological interventions. However, overemphasis on one treatment intervention may fail to generate the desired objectives. While the traditional strategies to obesity prevention and management have placed emphasis on medications, wider attention to other dimensions of treatment is necessary. Such treatment interventions may include the multi-tiered or holistic strategies that incorporate both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions. For instance, a wider focus should incorporate practices such as assessing the mental health impacts of obesity on the patients. Thus, a public health multi-tiered approach to obesity that emphasizes on promotion, prevention, and individualized interventions are recommended.
PICOT Question: Is the use of multi-tiered approach to the treatment and management of childhood obesity more effective than overreliance on only pharmacological interventions in reducing obesity prevalence rates?

Type 2 Diabetes
Introduction
Diabetes is a multifaceted disease that affects over 29 million individuals in the United States although most of them are not aware they are sick. The prevalence of diagnosed diabetes is higher among certain minorities such as Alaska Natives, American Indians, Hispanics, Asian Americans and non-Hispanic Black. Its reduces muscle, liver and adipose tissue insulin sensitivity to as well as a decrease pancreatic b-cell function leading which can impair insulin secretion. Diabetes mellitus (DM) can be in form of Type 1 DM, gestation DM, type 2 DM, Pre-DM or medication-induced DM while all bear high levels of blood glucose. Lately, new antidiabetic medications have been adopted for the treatment of T2DM, including dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors, glucagon-like peptide 1(GLP-1) receptor agonists, anamylin analogue, and sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors. Of all cases of diabetes, 90% - 95% is accounted by type 2 DM (Olokoba, Obateru & Olokoba, 2012). It is characterized by the body failing to use insulin properly because of the relative deficiency in insulin or insulin resistance. Failure to manage type 2 diabetes appropriately can cause grave complications such as neuropathy, retinopathy and cardiovascular diseases. .
Problem
Diabetes Mellitus type 2 has become an epidemic in the adult population and managing the glucose levels has become a serious problem with close to 285 million people worldwide affected (International Diabetes Federation. 2011). The number of Americans people affected by type 2 diabetes mellitus has continued to grow by 1.9 million cases every year. The problem has been rampant on older people in the United States who account for 10.9 million cases. Among the factors identified as drivers of type 2DM epidemic is physical inactivity, increased age of the U.S. population, increase in the sub-populations prone to diabetes and obesity epidemic. The cost of type 2DM is enormous and in 2012, approximately $176 billion was used in direct medical costs and $69 billion in lost due to lack of productivity.

Summer 2022
Abstract Past tense
The prevalence of obesity and sedentary lifestyle complications are increasing at alarming rates, representing a common but preventable cause of severe medical complications like diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and early mortality. This common but chronic condition has been for a long time a public health concern and social determinant. The integrative review focused on how the American Heart Association (AHA) Diet and Lifestyle recommendations and the Fitbit app are used as innovative solutions to reduce obesity in adult patients. The Fitbit app offers a unique opportunity to enhance the efficacy of weight loss plans, as it is used to track activity, monitor steps, heart rate, energy expenditure, sleep, and sedentary behavior.
Research Methodology: A systematic review was conducted to identify research articles completed in the preceding 4-5 years centered on obesity care, diet, physical activity, activity trackers, and lifestyle implications. The databases searched were Chamberlain Library, PubMed, and CINHAL.
Results and Discussion: Initial searches yielded over 2000 articles, of which 45 were chosen and examined because they fit the integrative review's theme. The 15 papers most relevant to the PICOT question were studied in further detail and appraised using the Johns Hopkins Evidence Appraisal table. The studies reported positive physical activity outcomes. What were the key themes?
Conclusions and Further Recommendations:This systematic review supported the effectiveness of the AHA Diet and Lifestyle recommendations to prevent and reduce obesity, and clinical use is recommended. Fitbit app provides new ways to improve physical activity habits, and the easy availability of electronic devices may enhance their generalizability use.

Clinical studies are purposed to help physicians and other interested parties to make health improvements on how issues are handles.
The United States currently faces a large number of health issues.
Obesity is among the common health issues that the country is facing, which requires intervention.
The country is currently the leading place with the largest number of people with this condition (Booth, Charlton, & Gulliford, 2016).
Obesity has been an issues of concern to many in the United States, mainly because the country is the leading nation in the world with the largest population of obese individuals.
The need to implement effectiveness and ensure that people regain their health is essential for the health industry of the country.
This presentation aims to present a research study on this issue and it provide recommendation of effective intervention measures that should be taken to address the issue.
2
Over view of the study
Obesity is currently affecting more than 37.9 percent of all the adults in the United States.
Annually, the government spends about 147 million dollars to address issues related to obesity only.
With this issue being extremely important, the study aims to obtain more information about the issue in the country.
The study then aims to use the findings that will be obtained to make recommendations of appropriate intervention strategies.
Statistical evidence clarify that obesity is a significant problem in the United States. Through this condition, more than 37.9 percent of the United States feel adverse negative effects, and are considered less healthy compared to other people.
This study has its main purpose being to make sure that effective strategies have been developed through which the issue will become less significant in terms of effect and money.

Failure to manage type 2 diabetes appropriately can cause grave complications such as neuropathy, retinopathy and cardiovascular diseases. .

American Heart Association Lifestyle Recommendations to Reduce Obesity

Chamberlain College of Nursing
NR709 Project and Practicum IV
Keywords: Obesity care; Obesity complications; Lifestyle recommendations; Obesity management; Physical activity intervention using Fitbit activity trackers.

Research in clinical suicidology continues to rapidly expand, much of it with implications
for day-to-day clinical practice. Clinicians routinely wrestle with how best to integrate
recent advances into practice and how to do so in efficient and effective fashion. This
article identifies five critical domains of recent research findings and offers examples
of simple questions that can easily be integ.

Massachusetts has a unique archaeological resource in its many colonial graveyards. These contain a large number of precisely dated “artifacts” in the form of headstones and provide an opportunity for studies of the ways in which different aspects of British colonial and Euro- American culture have changed over time. For this assignment, you will visit a local cemetery of your choosing and use the headstones and other associated material culture to address questions aimed at understanding demographic, social, symbolic, or technological issues in the past. This assignment does not require any archaeological excavation, and your instructor and federal, state, and local laws expressly forbid you from doing any! The project also does not require you to do any additional background research, although you are welcome to do so. Please

Democracy, at its core, is centered on the idea that individuals can, in fact,
rule themselves. This concept is enshrined in the U.S. Constitution as we
know it today. However, early on the American Constitution was not a sound,
democratic document. In particular, the idea of popular sovereignty; that is,
the will of the people, was not extended to everyone. For example, as you
read this week, the framers, for a time, chose to retain slavery in the new
Republic. In addition to slavery, in what other areas was the Constitution of
1788 less than democratic? In what ways has the Constitution, since then,
become more democratic? Be sure to provide examples to support your
claims.

• Ryanairs operations have been consistently plagued with emp.docxVannaJoy20
• Ryanair's operations have been consistently plagued with employee
discontent and protests (Temming, 2017). Communication between Line
Managers and employees has been tensed, and performance has suffered as a
result. The Company would benefit from the strategic positioning and
interpersonal skills of the Human Resource Business Partner.
• As an employee advocate, he or she would engage employees in dialogue and
ensure that whatever findings are made are brought to the attention of the line
manager promptly to be addressed.
• Also, as a collaborative partner, he would assist in channeling the needs of the
line manager in a way that will be understood and well received by
subordinates.
• Effective communication would eventually lead to mutual understanding and
benefit for all parties.
• It would go a long way in developing a strong company culture where
individuals are not afraid to express their thoughts and ideas. and would shift
focus away from conflict towards meeting Organizational goals.
01 CONSTRUCTIVE COMMUNICATION

02 EFFECTIVE CHANGE
MANAGEMENT
• The Greek Philosopher, Heraclitus stated that “Change is the only
constant of life” (Rothwell et al., 2015). This statement is pertinent to the
rapidly changing business climate (Lauer, 2019, p3) in which Ryanair
finds itself.
• A company’s readiness and reaction to change are important in
determining success. From our current state analysis, we discovered
that several tasks may be expedited and optimized with the introduction
of new technology.
• However, this must be introduced strategically to prevent resistance.
The role of the Human Resources Business Partner is essential in this
regard.
• He or She would determine the need for change and ensure reception of
the change by employing effective communication strategies
(McCracken et al., 2017).
• Apart from a change in technology, other elements that may undergo
transformation include processes, policies, personnel, amongst others.
It is important that these changes are taken in stride so that they do not
forestall operations.
03 FOCUSED TRAINING AND
CAPACITY BUILDING
• The Business Partner would be instrumental in identifying
areas requiring competency improvements (Onen, 2013) in
Ryanair.
• Through a series of activities such as performance reviews
and data analysis, as well as knowledge of the business, and
interactions with staff, the business partner would tailor
training programmers to drive outcomes that matter and meet
the company's needs and vision.
• Doing so would be of benefit not only to employees but to
Ryanair, who would see improved performances and save
costs that would have gone into retraining because of an
inefficient programme.
EFFECTIVE STRATEGY
DEVELOPMENT
• Ryanair would benefit from the HRBP's skills and
knowledge in developing strategic plans that create value
for future business successes.
• He or she would ensure that plans align with the needs and
expectations .

Pathological Conditions in Older Adults
As one goes through the natural aging process, the body's capacity to defend itself against infections diminishes. The immune system's ability to offer protection is reduced, and the individual becomes susceptible to conditions that affect them more than other age groups (Haynes, 2020). This population also experiences other symptoms impairing other aspects of their lives as time passes. For instance, their skin and bones lose their integrity and become more prone to abrasions and breakage. This assignment module will examine the pathological conditions that affect the sexual response in older adults and how and why nutritional and psychological factors, drugs, and other alternative and complementary medications affect the immune system of the populations.
Pathological Conditions that Affect Sexual Response in Older Adults
Sexuality is an essential aspect of life, irrespective of the age group one is in—the older population and the younger generation alike need to explore sexuality to maintain health and well-being. Exploring sexuality is also a mixture of biological, psychological, social, and religious factors, all of which have plenty to do with aging. Among the pathological conditions that affect sexual response in the elderly include
Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause
These are the changes experienced in the genitourinary pathway as one age. The individual can feel a burning sensation, dryness, or irritation. This can lead to painful sexual encounters, which can, in turn, reduce their desire to engage and their response.
Dementia
This is a degenerative disorder of the mental faculties, predominantly among the elderly (National Institute on Aging, n.d.). Their judgment diminishes, making them disinterested or utterly unaware of their sexual experiences. Some forms of the condition have been shown to increase sex or closeness, but the individual may fail to recognize what is appropriate and what is not.
Diabetes
As a chronic condition experienced mainly by this population, it can lead to yeast generation, leading to itchiness around the sex organs, making sex unpalatable. The situation can, however, be addressed with medication.
Incontinence
This is a condition where one experiences bladder leakage caused by poor control (National Institute on Aging, n.d.). It is most prevalent among the population an.

Tool for Analyzing and Adapting Curriculum Materials
Overview: This tool is designed to help you prepare to use curriculum materials, particularly individual lessons that are part of larger units, with students. It supports you to do three things:
1. Identify the academic focus of the materials;
2. Analyze the materials for demand, coherence, and cultural relevance;
3. Consider student thinking in relation to the core content and activities;
4. Adapt the materials and create a more complete plan to use in the classroom.
Section 1: Identify the academic focus of the materials
Read the materials in their entirety. If you are working with a single lesson that is part of a larger unit, read or skim the entire unit, and then read the lesson closely. Annotate the materials:
1. What are the primary and secondary learning goals?
· What are the 1-2 most important concepts or practices that students are supposed to learn?
· What are students responsible for demonstrating that they know and can do in mid-unit and final assessments and performance tasks?
2. What are the core tasks and activities:
· What needs to be mastered or completed before the next lesson?
· Where is the teacher’s delivery of new information, guidance, or support most important?
· Where is discussion or opportunities for collaboration with others important?
· Are there activities or tasks that could be moved to homework if necessary?
Section 2: Analyze the materials for demand, coherence, and cultural relevance:
Use the checklist in the chart below to analyze the materials. If you mark “no,” make notes about possible adaptations to the materials. You may annotate the materials directly as an alternative to completing the chart.
Consideration
Yes or no?
Notes about possible adaptations
1.
Analyze for grade-level appropriateness and intellectual demand:
1a. Do the learning goals and instructional activities align with relevant local, state, or national standards?
1b. Are the materials sufficiently challenging for one’s own students (taking into account the learning goals, the primary instructional activities, and the major assignments and assessments)? Do they press and support students to do the difficult academic work?
2.
Analyze for instructional and academic coherence (if analyzing a unit):
2a. Do the individual lessons in a unit build coherently toward clear, overarching learning goals, keyed to appropriate standards? Name the set of learning goals.
2b. Is progress against those goals measured in a well-designed assessment?
2c. Does each lesson build on the previous one?
2d. Are there opportunities for teachers to reinforce or draw upon previously learned information and skills in subsequent lessons?
3.
Analyze for cultural relevance/orientation to social justice:
3a. Are the materials likely to engage the backgrounds, interests, and strengths of one’s own s.

ABSTRACT
Low insulin production and high blood sugar levels are the
markers of diabetes mellitus (Grajower & Horne, 2019). About
10% of the American population has diabetes mellitus, and
many of these patients might benefit from intermittent fasting
(Grajower & Horne, 2019). Managing diabetes by fasting is
only one option among several that diabetic patients might
choose, especially with the rise in popularity of intermittent
fasting as a means to reduce weight and treat chronic illness.
While dietary and lifestyle changes and antidiabetic medication
may help manage diabetes, data on the efficacy of IF alone in
this regard is scant. This analysis aimed to determine whether or
not IF positively affects type 1 or type 2 diabetics by
identifying clinically relevant human research. The PRISMA
15. procedure was used to systematically review the relevant
literature. The goal was to find studies that looked at how
fasting affected individuals with type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
Blood plasma glucose levels (mmol/L), hemoglobin A1C
percentages (%), and total body mass (kg) were the primary
outcomes of interest in this meta-analysis. For adults, we found
four RCTs and one case report on the effects of fasting on
diabetes. All of the trials found evidence of beneficial effects
on weight, glycemic control (via antidiabetic medication with
A1C and/or fasting plasma glucose), and/or fasting insulin
levels. Fasting is an option that patients with diabetes may
discuss with their doctors in order to better control their
condition. Healthcare providers can use this and other easily
accessible research to help them make suggestions and keep an
eye on things in a safe way. Further research is needed to make
reliable statements about IF's long-term effects among diabetic
patients.

Evidence-based data for the proposed interventions
The evidence-based data to support the proposed intervention
are based on peer-reviewed articles and experimental research.
The information collected helps in the quantification of the IF's
potential to assist in the improvement of insulin sensitivity and
reducing the fasting insulin levels. The research makes it easier
to identify the impact of the treatment on the outcomes by
causing a decrease in the influence of the confounding factors.
The research findings also make it possible to determine
individuals' ability to take full control of their health and make
some positive changes (Vitale & Kim, 2020). These are
essential factors that play an important role in implementing
17. intermittent fasting (IF) for successfully managing glucose
levels in individuals diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
Factors that can Influence the Use of the Proposed Interventions
Various factors can affect the implementation of the IF to help
in the successful management of glucose. Patients themselves
influence the first factors, which include the patients' insulin
resistance, failure to adhere to healthy behaviors like poor
dieting and scheduled eating and fasting windows, and the
participant's inactive lifestyle. Another factor is the
commitment from the stakeholders in the implementation
process (Vitale & Kim, 2020). The commitment from healthcare
providers and patients or participants impacts the use of the
proposed intervention.
Barriers Associated with the Proposed Interventions
Various factors act as a roadblock to successfully implementing
the proposed interventions. The first barrier is the lack of
support from the primary care providers. These providers might
resist changes, thus making it hard to achieve the objective. The
other barrier is the lack of support from the management,
18. especially concerning the provision of the required resources
(Purvis, 2018). The patient's resistance to the proposed new
treatment interventions is the other challenge.
Resources Required
The first resource is the glucometer that will be used to measure
fasting blood sugar. The other resource is the notebook, where
the data collected will be recorded to monitor the patients'
progress in blood glucose control. A clock or a watch will also
be required to guide the patients and providers on the specific
time that food should be taken (Vitale & Kim, 2020). Other
resources include drinking water, tea, coffee, and other non-
caloric beverages.
Sequence of the events and activities to be implemented
The first step is the collection of the baseline data, i.e., the
records of the blood sugar readings before implementing the IF.
The collected data will guide on whether there is an
improvement or positive changes made by the proposed
intervention. The next step is to inform the patients and
providers about the proposed intervention of the IF and how it
is likely to improve blood sugar management. The providers are
also informed about each role in the implementation process.
19. This procedure is crucial since it aims to reduce the resistance
level. The next step is the implementation process that involves
fasting, whereby patients have fasting time and eating window.
For a start, they can start with 12 hours fast, have a 12-hour
eating window, and then build up to a 16:8 schedule. From
there, patients then transition to a smaller eating window.
During the implementation, the fasting blood sugar readings are
taken and compared to the previous reading before
implementation to determine whether there is a positive change
or improvement.
Monitoring, Tracking, and Ongoing
The implementation process involves the relevant stakeholders,
especially healthcare providers, who will guide the
implementation procedure. The providers such as nutritionists,
endocrinologists, physicians, and nurses will ensure that there is
an adherence to the procedure. The adjustment can be made
through changes in the diet and timing to ensure that the
procedure heads in the right direction. Patients will be
monitored on the type of meals they take rather than avoid the
fasting process (Vitale & Kim, 2020). During this time, only the
recommended diet are taken by the patients.
Performance of Tasks for the Implementation
20. Patients with type 2 diabetes will be subjected to IF to
determine whether there is an improvement in their glucose
levels. Positive outcomes show better quality of life.
Nutritionists such as Ivy Kristie help develop the fasting routine
and identify suitable meals for the patient. Sue Bell, the
Endocrinologist, helps with examining the effect of IF on type 2
diabetes and deducing the positive and negative effects of the
intervention. Jason McCallister, a physician, helped review how
the intervention impacts type 2 diabetes of the patient and other
issues. Daisy Blue, a nurse, assists with the implementation
process by incorporating the inputs of other stakeholders to
attain the desirable outcomes.
Strategies facilitating the Implementation of the Proposed
It is crucial to inform the stakeholders to avoid high resistance.
Collaboration is necessary to ensure that each procedure or step
is implemented effectively. It is crucial to gain support from the
primary care providers by sharing the findings with them
(Kirchner et al., 2020). Patients must understand the importance
of the IF intervention in managing their type 2 diabetes
condition.
Timeline
21. The implementation process is expected to take around three
months. This time is adequate to help confirm the effectiveness
of the proposed intervention of IF in managing the blood sugar
level of patients.
Anticipated Outcomes
The expected outcome from the proposed intervention of the IF
is attaining normal and healthy blood glucose levels.
Consequently, there will be a low rate of systematic
inflammation, improvement in the sensitivity to insulin,
improved cholesterol levels, and reduction or successful
maintenance of average healthy weight.

The evaluative criteria (Indicators or variables) to be addressed
in answering each evaluation question
The success of the proposed capstone project is based on the
23. evaluation process to determine whether an improvement is
being made. The research on the effectiveness of intermittent
fasting (IF) in management is guided by the evaluation criteria
important in revealing the existing gaps in the IF intervention.
Therefore, the evaluation criteria adopted are based on
comparing the outcomes of the implementation program of IF
and then compared to the baseline data before the
implementation process. The two data are compared to look at
the differences. The success of the implementation process is
expected to reveal a positive result. In this case, the collection
of baseline data and data after implementation is based on key
indicators or variables (Vitale, R., & Kim, 2020). The major
variables are IF (independent) and glucose levels (dependent).
Other dependent variables playing a role in influencing glucose
levels are cholesterol levels, weight, and sensitivity to insulin
which is indicated by the HbA1c.
The research methodologies strategies to be utilized in
answering each question and their suitability
The research approaches to be adopted will involve the
literature review; in this case, systemic review articles will be
targeted. The search for relevant articles will focus on the role
of IF in managing blood glucose levels. The relevant articles
will be searched using useful databases such as PubMed,
Medline, Cochrane, and Embase. The search for relevant
24. articles will also be based on the key terms (Melynk & Fineout-
Overholt, 2018). The findings from the selected articles will be
important in revealing the impact of the IF on the successful
management of the blood sugar level. The outcomes of this
study will reveal whether IF helps reduce body weight and
increases insulin sensitivity.
How data will be collected concerning the evaluative criteria or
indicators
The first data will be the baseline data that will be collected
using patient history about the previous values of the blood
glucose levels. Upon approval by the patients, information from
healthcare facilities can be relied on for the data sources. Other
sources of data will be from the implementation program of IF.
In this case, the selected participants will have to record their
daily values of blood sugar level and weight for continuous
evaluation. The collection of the data will be carried out
through the implementation period.
The exact data to be collected, when, and by whom
Data collection will be a collaborative work from the providers,
patients, and family members or caregivers. Healthcare
providers such as nurses, physicians, endocrinologists or
nutritionists will work with the patients to ensure data such as
the body mass index (BMI), HbA1c, blood sugar level, HDL
25. cholesterol values, and body weight.
Data collection tools in terms of their development and
suitability in responding to questions
The collection of data will be based on experimentation and
observation strategies. The baseline data are collected before
implementation. The collected data is then compared to the
outcome of the implementation. The experimental approach is
whereby the participants are involved in the IF practice to help
in the achievement of the objectives. Patients will be required to
adhere to a healthy diet and engage in other recommended
interventions to ensure a drop or effective management of their
blood sugar.
Information on validity or reliability of tools
The information collected based on observing the baseline data
collected from the healthcare facilities or patient history is
authentic since it is based on the healthcare providers' values.
The information collected through experimental work
throughout the implementation procedure depends on the
patient's adherence to the healthcare providers'
recommendations (Grajower & Horne, 2019). However, it is
expected that the data generated will be authentic since there
will be a follow-up procedure.
26. The reason why data collection techniques are suitable to
research strategy, type of data, and purpose of evaluation
The data collection methods adopted will be appropriate since
they are based on tasks performed by the providers or patients
under the supervision of the providers. Data collected based on
observation and experiment in this scenario are based on first-
hand information.
How to analyze data, including the specific test to use
The analysis of the data will be based on the quantitative
method; therefore, the statistical technique to be adopted is the
chi-square test. This test is important in determining whether
there is a link between the key variables in the research project.
The project IF is an absolute value that is expected to help in
the reduction of infection rates in the facility. Using chi-square
as a statistical technique allows having cross-tabulation of the
IF amongst patients. The method also objectively compares the
observed and expected percentages from the implementation.

paper reviews the stakeholders that will play a major part in the
study. The table below identifies key stakeholders that will be
interested in the project results, describes their roles, and
reveals if they are supportive to the project.
Stakeholder
29. Roles
Alex Green: Patient with T2DM
This stakeholder will be the test subject. He will be subjected to
IF to see if his glucose levels will improve. A positive result
will help him live a better-quality life.
Ivy Kristie: Nutritionist
This stakeholder will be responsible for coming up with the
fasting routine and identifying proper meals for the patient.
Sue Bell: Endocrinologist
This stakeholder will examine the impact of the IF on the T2DM
and deduce the positive and negative impacts of the
intervention.
Jason McCallister: Physician
This stakeholder will review how the intervention affects the
patient’s T2DM and other unrelated health concerns.
Daisy Blue: Nurse
This stakeholder will be responsible for implementing the
intervention and incorporating the input of the endocrinologist,
the physician, and the patient to achieve desirable outcomes.
Promoting Stakeholder Participation
The first step is to identify the stakeholders early. This ensures
that there is ample time to engage them and allow them to
interact with each other. Next, each stakeholder will be
30. sensitized on the significance of the project and how it will
directly affect them. Once they understand the importance of
the project, the stakeholders will be encouraged to interact with
each other and provide feedback on how best to meet the
objectives of the project. Through this collaboration, each
stakeholder will feel valued and get the motivation to be
personally involved in the project (Purvis, 2018). This way, the
facilitator will ensure that there are several effective
communication channels, which will be essential in promoting
stakeholder participation.
Possible Concerns/Barriers from Stakeholders
For starters, there is the issue of competing priorities. Each
stakeholder may have a priority that does not resonate with the
others. This may result in friction where a consensus on how
best to run the project is not reached. It is vital to incorporate
effective conflict management strategies to mitigate this
problem (Purvis, 2018). Another issue is that of resource
constraints. Depending on the input of the stakeholders, it may
be challenging to get all the necessary resources required to
adequately cover the project goals. Hence, it is vital to cut costs
by identifying the most integral aspects of the projects and
foregoing the minor ones.
Strategies to Gain Support/Assistance from Stakeholders
One has to identify triggers and mitigation measures. Since each
stakeholder has unique needs and will react differently to
31. project actions, the facilitator must know how best to approach
them and get them to collaborate (Harris et al., 2019). Also, it is
vital for each stakeholder to have a say in the project. This
makes everyone feel valued and ready to participate.

Correlation of Intermittent Fasting to Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
A research project's theoretical framework is a useful starting
point since it serves as a blueprint for the whole paper. This
capstone work is intended to be theoretically grounded in
Dorothea Orem's Self-care Theory. Clinically, Orem's self-care
model is one of the complete models for laying out the
foundations of effective self-care and assisting patients in
putting those foundations into practice (Tanaka, 2022). This
idea is appropriate for the capstone since it emphasizes the
person and their ability to make changes to improve their
health.
33. Orem's idea rests on these three tenets:
Self-care deficit: Due to incompetence or ignorance, the person
cannot care for themselves.
Nursing system: The patient has the capacity to care for
themselves, yet they need nursing care.
Self-care requisites: The person is capable of taking care of
herself and has access to the resources she needs to do so.
Orem's theory lends itself to the following types of empirical
investigation:
Case study: This method might investigate how a person can
take control of their health and improve it via deliberate
behavior change.
Survey: Individuals' attitudes and practices towards health care
might benefit from this method.
Experimental: This method might be used to examine how IF
improves insulin sensitivity and lowers blood insulin levels.
Both quantitative and qualitative approaches apply to the
investigation of the Orem hypothesis. In order to measure the
impact of IF on insulin sensitivity and blood insulin levels,
quantitative methods would be most beneficial. Qualitative
methodologies are warranted when investigating the person and
their agency regarding their health. Experimental research
would be the best choice for quantifying IF's potential to
improve insulin sensitivity and lower fasting insulin levels.
34. This research design would make it possible to isolate the
impact of the treatment on the result by reducing the influence
of confounding factors (Rosman et al., 2022). Case studies and
surveys are two of the best qualitative research approaches for
examining a person and their capacity to take control of their
health and make positive changes. These approaches would
make it possible to inquire deeply into people's attitudes and
practices toward their health. When a researcher employs either
of these methods, they get a more significant say over the scope
of the study, the variables used, and the kinds of questions
asked. As a result, the researcher will have concrete data to
provide, such as the percentage of patients who stick to IF vs.
those who do not and how it stacks up against the absence of
provider education and teamwork in healthcare meant to lower
DM readmissions (Yip, 2021).
To determine whether or not the program or initiative is
successful, one may utilize the theoretical framework to
determine how effectively it caters to the demands of the target
audience (diabetic patients). We may also use the approach to
evaluate the tailoring of a program or project to a specific
person's requirements. The core tenet of the Orem model is that
people may take control of their health and well-being by
making confident lifestyle choices. Since this theory
emphasizes each person's role in influencing their health, it is a
35. good fit for assessing the program or initiative. Given its
emphasis on one's agency in influencing one's health, Orem's
theory is a helpful framework for evaluating the project's
success. Due to its inability to account for non-medical
contexts, such as environmental and social factors that affect
health, the theory does not help assess the program's
effectiveness (Grajower & Horne, 2019).

Project context: The present study's goal is to evaluate IF's
safety and effectiveness to those of conventional treatment for
persons who have type 2 diabetes.
Problem: The prevalence of obesity, which has been on the rise
for decades, is a potential contributor to the development of
prediabetes and diabetes. There seems to be a strong correlation
37. between obesity and diabetes, since the prevalence of both
conditions is increasing. Ten percent of the U.S. population has
type two diabetes mellitus (T2DM) ((Zang, He & Xue, 2022).
Project impact: However, it is possible to promote and safely
adopt IF among persons with diabetes by adjusting their
medications and engaging in self-monitoring of blood glucose
levels.
Outcome: Substantial weight reduction and improvements in
glucose regulation ensued with IF. In certain cases, insulin
resistance may improve with IF (Vitale & Kim, 2020).
Proposed solution: Managing glucose levels in individuals with
type 2 diabetes using IF.
38. Correlation of Intermittent Fasting (IF) to Type Two Diabetes
Mellitus T2DM
Factors influencing selected strategy:
1. Insulin resistance.
2. Poor dieting.
3. Failure to adhere to scheduled eating and fasting windows.
4. Inactive lifestyle.
Evidence base supported solution: Diabetic-related problems
may be effectively treated and prevented with dietary
modifications, as affirmed by both clinical practice and the
majority of national diabetes organizations (Zang, He & Xue,
2022). Intermittent fasting is only one of numerous nutritional
therapies that may be tried. A dietary intervention that shifts the
length of the overnight fast from 12 to 18 or 20 hours may be
useful as an additional dietary approach in the treatment of
diabetes mellitus (Vitale & Kim, 2020).
