Research
• When I did my research I looked at different travel poster like Brighton,
Newcastle, Whitley Bay, and research different website about travel. This gave
me some ideas of some colours that I could use for my budget travel poster,
website and video.
• We did a questionnaire about budget holiday we ask about colour, mood, prices
activities, type of holiday
• I made some mock-up of the poster, storyboard of the video
• Develop a audience profile with age rage , Gender, Psychographic and Social
Status
• I looked up trip adviser for the website layout
Planning
• My planning went will well, I took my time planning and I came up with the
ideas by myself. It was good planning and was easy because it was somethings
that I was interested in doing already. This helped me with my project because
it gave me a lot of ideas for my budget travel video for York and Whitby. I was
going to create the website, poster and video about York and Edinburgh but
because of coronavirus I couldn’t go to Edinburgh. So I had to make a video
about York and Whitby and got the image form the Internet because I couldn’t
take the photo and videos in York with my big cannon camera.
• Video- I did a storyboard about York and things you can do in York, like go to
the shambles and restaurant you can eat in. The second half of the storyboard
is about Whitby and things you can do in Whitby like going and see the abbey
and see the culture with the captain cook museum and eat in the restaurant.
• Website- I did a website about what you can do and see in York and Whitby. I
put some text next to the image to say what the images and linked more
websites so the customer could get more information.
• Magazine- I did a magazine with images of York and Whitby and the place you
can go and eat at.
• Poster I include the logo images and some texts
• Banner I did my banner on photoshop which include some images of York and
some text to explained about the images.
Time Management
• I mange my time well and did some work out of the class
room for my project as we were sent home due to coved-19
• I worked hard, the poster, website and video took a long
time, I was lucky my sister has the adobe creative cloud app
on her MacBook so I used these to create the poster, and
video. She also had a graphics tablet so I used that for
creating the logo.
• I took my time and plan what I wanted in my budget travel
video I completed my project on time.
• I create a schedule to stick to and the daily tasks needed to
be done that day, this did sometimes have to be around my
sisters marketing reports and dissertation as she helped me
with the adobe apps, this was a little annoying as I needed
to for around her and not in my own time

• It is very bright and colourful, it very eye-
catching. It has a lot of detail and very
informative.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
• Maybe more pictures but in the circumstances I
understand that is difficult.
Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
• I liked it because it showed in a short time
• what they can do.
• What improvements could have been made
to the product?.
• May be it should divide better what is for the
older and what is for the younger to do.
Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product
• Well presented, with a lot of detail about the places described. Good
use of other sources on the website letting the customer know more
information
• Well designed poster
• A consistent logo design throughout which makes the branding
apparent throughout
• Good adapted logos for each of the cities
• Good happy brand tone, fitting in with essence of holidays
• Video is a good length, with the right balance between information and
imagery.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
• Have videos instead of pictures, however this was because of covid-19.
• Use more gender neutral colours on the poster, for examples the blues and green
used in the other pieces of media. This would make the poster more cohesive wit
the website and video whilst appealing to both genders. As the customer said the
most favoured colour was blue this could have the colour of the background.
• Try not to use music with the free music sites name in as this lacks
professionalism, but in this case it would be hard to do.
