Research
I look into different types of war and futuristic armour, this helped me get an
idea of what I was going to use then I also did research into the Warhammer
40k which is a table top game as well as books and video games this helped
me decide on what character I would use and what the lay out would be. I
also looked into different types of destroyed city's and war torn buildings.
When doing my research I should have looked into different media instead of
just looking a game/movie posters, I should have looked into games, movies
and models of the characters I used as well as the different
creatures/enemies form the game/movie universe of the characters I used.
Planning
My strengths of my planning where that I covered the areas that I needed to
make a good futuristic war looking poster. It also helped that I with planning I
was able to make a good poster with good lighting/shadow effects and place
all my characters in the right place. It was also useful that with planning my
work got done faster because I knew what I needed to uses an where I was
going to get the items I needed from, but if I hadn't planed my poster out it
would have taken ne much longer to create my poster. With planning I was
also able to get my poster to look better and because I planned my poster I
was able to finish it ahead of time which game me time to refine and change
things that didn't fit as well as I thought it would.
Time Management
I was able to finish my work ahead of time and because of this I was able to
add more things to my poster that I hadn't thought of like shading the sky red
and darkening the armour of the character and the buildings. I was also able
to go back and look at my poster for any parts that where missing or that
needed going over with the eraser tool. I was also able to add more detail to
the poster, more than I originally intended. With managing my time I was also
able to change my work so that I was happy with how it looked.

Aesthetic Qualities
I am happy with how my work turned out. In my opinion it was creative and
the finish product look good. Although I would have like to have been able
to see how it would have looked if I had placed everything I used in the
image in a different area of the image. I think the weakens are mainly the
shading and the shadows I used. This is because of how each character had
different shades of colours of armour and making them look similar shades
of the same colour is not easy. But I think my strengths are I how I made the
poster look like a different planed with the commits and red sky. Which
helped if it an other worldly feel.
Audience Appeal
I have appealed to my target audience, I have done this by using items and
themes that I know appeal to young adults and teens. I also made the
poster look like it was from an action movie by adding weapons and
destroyed buildings. My audience also really likes dystopian looking
settings. I have done this by adding commits to the sky as well as adding a
red sky and having destroyed buildings gives the setting a better look. This
matches what my audience wanted in in the survey. It also fit my audience
because it was made to look like it was for people from ages 16-25. it was
also made to match the genre of the of the most popular chooses.
Peer
Feedback
Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
I really liked the sky of the poster as it looked like it could of taken a really long time to complete, in
saying that though it was completely worth it as the sky looks very cinematic which is what I think this
person is trying to go for. I also like the soldiers that this particular person has placed In as I think they
are Photoshopped in really well and faded really well to appear as if each soldier is further away than
the other, which I think is really cool. I also like the logo in the top left hand corner of the screen as it
makes the poster look more legitimate and more professional, making it seem as though its actually a
buyable poster.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
Only minor improvements can really be made from this poster, as I believe its really quite good.
Although I would have liked to see more going on in the poster, perhaps more destructions like
explosions and crashed ships, as for me there isn’t really enough going on for a action poster like this
one, it needs to seem more realistic and like able. I also perhaps think that the a better setting could
have made this poster a bit better than original is, so I’d recommend a better background, or a larger so
you can place more stuff in.
Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
I really like the colour scheme, the contrast between the dark red sky compared to the dark floor
behind the bright green and blue soldiers. I like the meteors and the spaceship against the sky.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
The shading between the foreground and background is a little bit off in parts, but otherwise is
really good.
There is also one part where the effect on the foreground and background is slightly different.
Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
I like the futuristic and dark feel to the poster, the editing is
good, and I like the logo. There are no blank spots.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
There's not much to improve on it, Maybe show what there
shooting.
Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback? I do agree that I need to add more thing into my poster to make
it look more like a battle ground. I also agree that I should have added in what the
characters in my poster are fighting, as well as I should have blended my
background and foreground elements better.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback? I disagree with adding in more shading because of if I added
any more in you wouldn't be able to see some elements of the poster. I also
disagree with changing the current background.
Peer Feedback Summary
I do need to change the amount of characters and Vehicles I used in my
poster so it looks more like a battle ground. I also need to added in what
creatures/aliens my characters are fighting in my poster so it looks more
like a war. As well I need to be able to blended my background and
foreground better so my poster doesn't look to photoshopped.
I think that these changes are fair and if I had time I would have added
these changes. If I had better time management and better skills in
Photoshop I would have done these changes.

I was also able to go back and look at my poster for any parts that where missing or that needed going over with the eraser tool. I was also able to add more detail to the poster, more than I originally intended. With managing my time I was also able to change my work so that I was happy with how it looked.
  • 6. Technical Qualities Power armour War Background is a destroyed city Uses mechs and aircraft Jet packs Squad of soldiers Title layout Character in the very centre Meteor strike Dark colours Light colours Alien looking planet
  • 7. Aesthetic Qualities I am happy with how my work turned out. In my opinion it was creative and the finish product look good. Although I would have like to have been able to see how it would have looked if I had placed everything I used in the image in a different area of the image. I think the weakens are mainly the shading and the shadows I used. This is because of how each character had different shades of colours of armour and making them look similar shades of the same colour is not easy. But I think my strengths are I how I made the poster look like a different planed with the commits and red sky. Which helped if it an other worldly feel.
  • 8. Audience Appeal I have appealed to my target audience, I have done this by using items and themes that I know appeal to young adults and teens. I also made the poster look like it was from an action movie by adding weapons and destroyed buildings. My audience also really likes dystopian looking settings. I have done this by adding commits to the sky as well as adding a red sky and having destroyed buildings gives the setting a better look. This matches what my audience wanted in in the survey. It also fit my audience because it was made to look like it was for people from ages 16-25. it was also made to match the genre of the of the most popular chooses.
  • 10. Feedback 1 • What did you like about the product? I really liked the sky of the poster as it looked like it could of taken a really long time to complete, in saying that though it was completely worth it as the sky looks very cinematic which is what I think this person is trying to go for. I also like the soldiers that this particular person has placed In as I think they are Photoshopped in really well and faded really well to appear as if each soldier is further away than the other, which I think is really cool. I also like the logo in the top left hand corner of the screen as it makes the poster look more legitimate and more professional, making it seem as though its actually a buyable poster. • What improvements could have been made to the product? Only minor improvements can really be made from this poster, as I believe its really quite good. Although I would have liked to see more going on in the poster, perhaps more destructions like explosions and crashed ships, as for me there isn’t really enough going on for a action poster like this one, it needs to seem more realistic and like able. I also perhaps think that the a better setting could have made this poster a bit better than original is, so I’d recommend a better background, or a larger so you can place more stuff in.
  • 11. Feedback 2 • What did you like about the product? I really like the colour scheme, the contrast between the dark red sky compared to the dark floor behind the bright green and blue soldiers. I like the meteors and the spaceship against the sky. • What improvements could have been made to the product? The shading between the foreground and background is a little bit off in parts, but otherwise is really good. There is also one part where the effect on the foreground and background is slightly different.
  • 12. Feedback 3 • What did you like about the product? I like the futuristic and dark feel to the poster, the editing is good, and I like the logo. There are no blank spots. • What improvements could have been made to the product? There's not much to improve on it, Maybe show what there shooting.
  • 13. Peer Feedback Summary • What do you agree with from your peer feedback? I do agree that I need to add more thing into my poster to make it look more like a battle ground. I also agree that I should have added in what the characters in my poster are fighting, as well as I should have blended my background and foreground elements better. • What do you disagree with from your peer feedback? I disagree with adding in more shading because of if I added any more in you wouldn't be able to see some elements of the poster. I also disagree with changing the current background.
  • 14. Peer Feedback Summary I do need to change the amount of characters and Vehicles I used in my poster so it looks more like a battle ground. I also need to added in what creatures/aliens my characters are fighting in my poster so it looks more like a war. As well I need to be able to blended my background and foreground better so my poster doesn't look to photoshopped. I think that these changes are fair and if I had time I would have added these changes. If I had better time management and better skills in Photoshop I would have done these changes.
