The paper presents a feature-based technique to create parallax effect free mosaics from underwater video sequences, addressing key challenges like parallax distortion caused by light propagation in water. By employing a local alignment technique post-global registration, the method utilizes the Centre Symmetric Local Binary Pattern (CS-LBP) for feature extraction and enhances color alignment between frames to improve the accuracy of registration. The proposed approach effectively minimizes artifacts such as blurring and ghosting in underwater mosaics while reducing computational costs through optimized frame selection.
