This study aimed to develop a protocol for callus induction, indirect organogenesis, and plantlet regeneration from explants of Vernonia anthelmintica. Leaf explants responded best to callus induction when cultured on MS medium supplemented with 1.5 mg/L IAA and 1.5 mg/L BA, producing friable white callus within 10 days. The highest shoot induction occurred on medium with 4 mg/L BA and 6 mg/L kinetin. Elongated shoots were transferred to half-strength MS medium with 2 mg/L IBA, which resulted in maximum rooting and formation of complete plantlets. The regenerated plantlets were successfully acclimatized to field conditions.
