This document discusses media and information literacy (MIL). MIL refers to the essential competencies that allow citizens to engage effectively with media and information providers, and develop critical thinking and lifelong learning skills for socializing and becoming active citizens. The core subject of MIL introduces learners to basic understanding of media and information as tools for communication and development. It aims to develop students' skills in creative and critical thinking, and responsible and competent use and production of media and information. Formative assessment of MIL includes recitation.
