5. Government Policies towards Aboriginals
◻ Research and write a brief summary on the following four
government policies:
◻ Protection: 1860s – 1930s
◻ Assimilation: 1937 – mid 1960s
◻ Integration: 1962 - 1972
◻ Self-Determination: 1972 onwards

6. Textbook Handout
◻ Using the textbook Pages 32-34, read through the experiences
of Aboriginal people.
◻ Using the Cornell Notes system, make summary notes under
the following headings:
