This document summarizes the Future Cloud Action Line initiative led by EIT ICT Labs. The initiative aims to drive European competitiveness in cloud services and big data by deploying trusted cloud technologies and analytics. It will provide tools and services to help consumers and businesses better control their sensitive personal data. The core partners represent leading technology companies, SMEs, and research institutions from four countries. The initiative will follow an agile approach over multiple cycles of delivering results, learning, and strategic alignment. It also includes an SME call for proposals to join the consortium and access support and opportunities in security, privacy, experimentation, and potential business relationships.

Kutvonen
Markku Kutvonen is Director, External
R&D Collaboration at F-Secure
Corporation.
Markku Kutvonen has been in software
industry almost 30 years, started as a
programmer for medical devices with
embedded systems and after that
moving to F-Secure in antivirus
technologies. Since 2002 he has been in
continuously growing leadership roles in
R&D, two last ones being the Director
of R&D in antivirus technologies
(Helsinki) and Director of Digital Content
R&D in Bordeaux, France. He has run
two large agile transformations and has
wide knowledge on Lean principles,
practices and business development in
software industry. Currently Markku is
leading activities related to external
partnerships and European Union
collaboration and is interested in
patterns on corporate strategy, privacy
and business development.

Track 1: Data Connectors and Data Exploitation on Personal Data Store
Personal and business applications exploiting personal data in privacy-preserving
context.
Connectors for securing personal data sets in personal clouds.

Track 2: Trusted Cloud Solutions
Any SMEs looking for a safe cloud environment to integrate their applications and
services.
Cloud based applications with security requirements such as sensitivities to data
leaks and integrity.
Cloud-based services that enhance the security of cloud/hosted applications
and/or data on public cloud platforms and that can augment, customise or
otherwise enhance Trusted Cloud Platform solutions and associated services.
Other applications, such as those intensive in processing and hosting
requirements, or are ready for cloud deployment via an Enterprise Application
Service Store, or can benefit from multi-cloud availability

Track 3: Data Science Experiment
Solutions (algorithms) and applications for global traffic exploiting data e.g.
marine data from Thales.
