Ben McFadyen conducted an experiment to create a more complex ghost drawing and background setting for a ghost game. He struggled initially with drawing the ghost and background but made improvements like adjusting the shading. McFadyen drew some trees to create a forest setting and animated a small tree to make the scene more interesting. For his final product, he will include the trees and ghost from his experiment.

3. Process
• The process of this experiments was that I had to make the ghost first I had already
made one but I was very simple so I made a more complex one. Drawing the
ghosts and the background I struggled at in the begging project. So that’s the main
focus on this experiments. I had to make some changes such as the shading
because it did not look right the first time I shaded it. The background started of as
black but then I made the ground I as the product that I will be making is set in a
forest I decided to try and draw some trees so the first I draw the wood and I
thought if it was a big tree there is going to be braches coming of it. Then I thought
that the house would look good forest I was going to have the ghost go in it but I
resliced that I made it to big and if I were to shrink it the ghost it would be more
pixelated. I also wanted a small tree to make the setting more interesting then I
animated it.

4. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
I will include the trees and the ghost because
that is fro my main product.
• Refer to the brief: Ghost Game
– I googled a pixel ghost then that’s where I got my
inspiration from. I got the setting in my head for
my game.
