Anyone who has been in the nursing field for an extended period of time will tell you that a lot has changed. In fact, the twentieth century brought – literally – a technological “invasion” to nursing.
ICT BASED TELEMEDICINE FOR THE EGYPTIAN SOCIETYcsandit
The One of the most challenging problems that encounter the Egyptian society is the lack of
significant health care in the rural areas. This problem leads to more severe problems that face
the society; the patients from the different rural areas needs to travel to the Egyptian capital
where the most experienced physicians are available. This will make overhead not only on the
patient budget but on the country budget since the focus on the capital makes a severe traffic
problem which threaten most of the economic sectors. The telemedicine is considered one of the
most important solutions that could mitigate the accumulated problems of lack of experienced
physicians in the Egyptian rural areas. The application of the telemedicine encounters several
challenges in Egypt; the lack in the experience in dealing with the telemedicine in these areas
and the problem of insufficient medical experts that could fulfil the gab. In this paper, a new
ICT-based telemedicine system is proposed to serve the Egyptian society. The portal is already
released and snapshots are included

Adaptive Ambient Intelligence and Smart EnvironmentsAhmad Lotfi
Ambient Intelligence is an emerging discipline that brings intelligence to our living environments, makes those environments sensitive to us, and adapt according to the user’s needs. By enriching an environment with appropriate sensors and interconnected devices, the environment would be able to sense changes and support decisions that benefit the users of that environment. Such smart environments could help to reduce the energy consumption, increase user’s comfort, improve security and productivity, etc. One specific area of interest is the application of ambient intelligence in Ambient Assisted Living, where the home environment provides assistance with daily living activities for people with disabilities. In my presentation, I will provide a review of the technologies and environments that comprises ambient intelligence, as well as how changes in the environment are reflected in the overall design of an adaptive ambient intelligence environment.

IoT is a combination of hardware and software technology that produces trillions of data through connecting multiple devices and sensors with the cloud and making sense of data with intelligent tools
IoT in Healthcare is a heterogeneous computing, wirelessly communicating system of apps and devices that connects patients and health providers to diagnose, monitor, track and store vital statistics and medical information.
In the last decade the healthcare monitoring systems have drawn considerable attentions of the researchers. The prime goal was to develop a reliable patient monitoring system so that the healthcare professionals can monitor their patients, who are either hospitalized or executing their normal daily life activities. In this work we present a mobile device based wireless healthcare monitoring system that can provide real time online information about physiological conditions of a patient. Our proposed system is designed to measure and monitor important physiological data of a patient in order to accurately describe the status of her/his health and fitness. In addition the proposed system is able to send alarming message about the patient’s critical health data by text messages or by email reports. By using the information contained in the text or e-mail message the healthcare professional can provide necessary medical
advising. The system mainly consists of sensors, the data acquisition unit, microcontroller (i.e., Arduino), and software (i.e., LabVIEW). The patient’s temperature, heart beat rate, muscles, blood pressure, blood glucose level, and ECG data are monitored, displayed, and stored by our system. To ensure reliability and accuracy the proposed system has been field tested. The test results show that our system is able to measure the patient’s physiological data with a very high accuracy.

The presentation discusses relevant efforts and programs supported by the European Commission such as the eHealth DSI, eStandards, ASSESS CT, and openMedicine aiming at large scale eHealth adoption It calls for engagement of European Society, its national societies, and its members.
mHEALTH: REVIEW OF MOBILE HEALTH MONITORING SYSTEMSIAEME Publication
With rise in world population, cost of healthcare also increased rapidly which led to the demand of low cost health monitoring solutions. In recent times, non-invasive wearable sensors have played an important role in healthcare applications. With advancement in wireless communication technologies, ubiquitous computing and embedded systems, the sensors need not be invasive anymore to accurately monitor a patient's health status, rather can be managed by user itself so as to keep a record of one's health condition. The advancement of healthcare technologies has enabled patients to monitor their vital health parameters on their own, and saves them from regular tiring hospital visits & high cost of laboratory medical checkups. It has also reduced the burden of healthcare service providers, thereby reducing overall medical costs. This paper provides a review of current status of mobile healthcare applications.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
