Seoul's Sustainable Energy Action Plan has two phases from 2012-2020 aimed at reducing energy use by 4 million TOE and cutting GHG emissions by 10 million tons. Phase 1 from 2012-2014 focuses on a 2 million TOE reduction through renewable energy generation, energy efficiency improvements, and energy savings. Phase 2 from 2014-2020 works toward the overall targets through continued programs in generation, efficiency, savings, and civic participation like Eco-Mileage. The plan also aims for Seoul to become an 'Energy Independent City' with a 20% renewable self-reliance rate by 2020 by expanding solar power and decentralized generation.
Rooftop solar power provides feasible options for corporates and industries to save on energy costs. A rooftop solar power system installs solar panels on a building's rooftop to generate electricity. Corporates can benefit from lower electricity costs compared to utility prices over 25 years as well as tax incentives. Currently over 1020 MW of solar rooftop capacity is installed across India in the industrial, commercial, government and residential sectors. Design options include grid-connected, hybrid, or storage systems. Payback periods are typically within 2-6 years depending on consumer type and grid power prices. Government policies support net metering and open access to the electricity grid. Chemtrols Solar provides turnkey rooftop solar
Retailers in NSW are required to reduce emissions to 7.27 tonnes per capita by 2007. Each retailer's allowable emissions are determined by their market share multiplied by the overall emission target. If a retailer's emissions are higher than their benchmark, they can purchase emission reduction certificates to meet their benchmark. NGACs represent 1 tonne of abatement and can be created through lower emission generation, demand reductions, abatement by large users, and carbon sequestration. Once a national emissions trading scheme is established, GGAS will transition to the ETS.

Can India achieve 100GW Solar Power Generation by 2022? Can Rajasthan develop 25GW? An analysis in the light of Solar PV Roadmap, 2014 by IEA
Installed PV capacity worldwide is 135GW by 2013. Approx. 40GW being added every year. The 210 GW of cumulative capacity projected by IEA by 2020 is being achieved five years earlier. This has made IEA come out with a new Solar PV Roadmap, 2014 where the
capacity expected for 2020 will be double of what was foreseen in the 2010 roadmap.
IEAโs analysis is based on a bottom-up TIMES* model that uses cost optimisation to identify least-cost mixes of energy technologies and fuels to meet energy demand, given availability constraints of natural resources. IEA projects that India can achieve 142GW by 2030 in a high renewable scenario and around 575GW by 2050 wherein PV will contribute to 16% of overall energy generated.

This document discusses strategies for reducing operational expenses (OPEX) in the telecom industry in Pakistan. It outlines several key strategies such as carefully managing product portfolios to reduce complexity; improving marketing efficiency; focusing on productivity improvements and policies to reduce call volumes; effective asset monitoring; pre-paying site leases; multi-dimensional planning; managing both labor and non-labor costs; increasing cost variability through outsourcing; tower sharing to reduce infrastructure costs; and using compact base station technology. Tower sharing in particular is cited as having the potential to save $7-12 billion in capital expenditures for the Indian telecom industry over four years.
This document summarizes the 4th Annual Green Telecom Seminar held on September 4th, 2013. It provides statistics on telecom towers in India, such as there being around 500,000 towers with telecom companies being the second biggest consumers of diesel after railways. Each tower consumes around 8,760 liters of fuel annually. The document also discusses the electrification scenario in India and compares various green energy technologies for powering telecom towers. It notes that solar energy is the most suitable option given factors like availability, reliability and lack of fuel requirements. Barriers to adopting renewable technologies include tower company agreements and lack of funding from both tower companies and telecom operators.

Introduction to Off Grid Solar Power systemShoeb Ali Khan
ย
This document provides an overview of off-grid solar power systems, including their applications and key components. Off-grid solar systems are not connected to the main electricity grid and instead use solar panels, batteries, and other components to provide power independently. They can be used for homes, clinics, schools, businesses, water pumping, street lighting, and more. The main components of an off-grid solar system are PV solar panels, a solar charge controller, battery bank for storage, an inverter to convert DC to AC power, and electrical safety devices. Together these components collect solar energy, store it in batteries, and allow the power to be used as needed.
The document discusses Nokia-Siemens Networks, which merged in 2006 and has headquarters in Finland. It provides mobile network services to over 1 billion subscribers through its networks in 150+ countries. The document then describes the base station subsystem (BSS) and its components, including the base transceiver station (BTS), base station controller (BSC), and network switching subsystem (NSS). It provides details on BTS components, transmission units, and tasks performed by the RF team like site surveys, loop breaks, flexi site installations, and intelligent BTS shutdowns.

The past was marked by a central generation of energy. For example, by nuclear power or coal-fired power. The lifecycle costs of nuclear power are very high and the technology is not always manageable. The coal-fired power significantly damages the world's climate. The purpose of this presentation is to show that local renewable electricity generation is a very good alternative.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
ย
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.
