The document proposes the establishment of the CEC Alternative Fuel and Advanced Transportation Center. The center would serve as a central clearinghouse for public information and facilitate stakeholder coordination to advance alternative fuels and electric vehicles in Southern California. It would develop physical and virtual locations to convene the public and stakeholders, promote workforce development and regional planning collaboration between companies, researchers, and agencies. The proposed center has support from organizations across Los Angeles and San Diego and has already opened physical locations while developing marketing materials to engage in outreach activities through partnerships.
