variable) varies over time (independent variable)
 The steeper the graph the faster the object
 Speed could be calculated from the graph
 More than one object’s motion could be put inn one
graph

• Based on a reference
direction,one speed will be
positive and the other
negative (see figure)
 Since we have the direction added, arrows are
a great tool
 The length of the arrow represents how fast
the object is moving
 In Math, we call these vectors
• We open the book at lesson 1 and we go through the
concepts together
