2. Our Mission
Reduce the detrimental effects of carbon
emissions by planting trees worldwide.
3. Raising Awareness
● Buying advertisements on social media
● Making T-Shirts and Merchandise to sell and support our
message
● Spreading the word!
● Eventually...
○ PLANT plans to advertise on bigger scales
4. Give back to your
community by helping us
restore the earth to its
original beauty.

5. How We Will Fulfill Our Mission
● Build green areas on the
roofs of buildings
● Trees consume carbon
● Plants are important to the
environment and remove
CO₂ from the atmosphere
6. Target cities or places
that produce greenhouse
gases in large amounts
and plant trees in rooftop
gardens and other open
spaces.
Plant trees in areas of
pollution, such as cities in
order to reduce the
amount of greenhouse
gases and combat global
warming.
VALUESVISIONMISSION
OUR PHILOSOPHY
We intend to not only
help reduce carbon
emissions but we also
plan to help people get
access to fresh fruits and
vegetables.
7. Statistics in Favor of Our Solution
● Forests in the United States absorb
and store roughly 750 million metric
tons of carbon dioxide each year
(which is 10% of America’s CO2
emissions)
● Trees consume around 48 pounds of
carbon dioxide per year
● A single tree can store up to one ton
of carbon by the time it is 40 years
old
8. Plausibility of Our Solution
A 10 day study in Stuttgart Germany
illustrated the impact of green roofs:
The following data was collected:
● 5-8% decrease in ozone concentrations
during heat waves
● Green roofs work more effectively
than cool roofs
13. One Tree Planted (OTP)
● One tree planted is a non-profit
organization that is focused on global
reforestation
● OTP’s projects help with restoration
from forest fires and floods, as well as
creating jobs, building communities,
and protecting habitats and diversity
One Tree Planted has
planted trees in:
● North America
● Latin America
● Asia
● Africa
14. How it Works
The organization ensures that they
maintain a tree survival rate of
80-90%.
One Tree Planted (OTP) pools
donations for each project and sends
the funds to reforestation buddies.
Depending on the project, OTP
chooses the best tree species to plant
and works with local communities to
get them in the ground.
15. PLANT vs. One Tree Planted
Similarities
● Our philosophies
● Our end goal
● Ways of achieving the
end goal
Differences
● Opposing regions
● Everyday, ordinary
people can help make
change with our program
16. ● Expand to other countries and continents
● Rooftop Gardens in bigger cities
● Cities will have better skylines
○ Tourism will increase
● Cities begin to incorporate these gardens into their infrastructures
● If we plant plants that have fruits and vegetables, we can give them to
people who do not have access to fresh and organic produce
How Will This Expand Into The Future?
17. “Times and conditions change so
rapidly that we must keep our aim
constantly focused on the future.”
-Walt Disney
Editor's Notes
•Social Media outlets i.e Instagram, Twitter, Facebook
•Make and Sell t-shirts sporting our message! Sales money will used for customers to plant any type of beneficial plant in any region of their choice.
•Gaining Ambassadors to wear our apparel and spark conversation and interest!
•Spreading the word! Just simply bringing it up in day to day conversations with peers!
•Eventually, PLANT plans to advertise on commercial and billboard to help others help save what can only save us, our planet.
In Stuttgart, Germany a 10 day study was conducted by Fallman that illustrated the ozone reduction effects of green roofs (plants on roofs). The data below was collected:
5-8% decrease in ozone concentrations during heat waves
Green roofs work more effectively than cool roofs (light-colored roofs) because of an increase of shortwave reflection given off from the higher-albedo cool roof
General facts
Forests in the United States absorb and store roughly 750 million metric tons of carbon dioxide each year (10% of America’s CO2 emissions)
Trees consume around 48 pounds of carbon dioxide a year
A single tree can store up to one ton of carbon dioxide by the time it is 40 years old
Last year, all the world's nations combined pumped nearly 38.2 billion tons of carbon dioxide into the air
