The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors approved an ordinance establishing the commercial and industrial property tax for transportation in September 2007. Collection of this revenue source began in 2008 (FY 2009). This revenue is just one source of many revenue sources that are needed to fund transportation improvements.
Mitch Barloga from NW Indiana Greenways & Blueways was the speaker at 4/8/13 Green Drinks in Valparaiso. He talked about ways the region is trying to be more user-friendly for non-motorized transporation.
Sienna Plantation Levee Improvement District of Fort Bend County (the "District") has called a parks and recreational facility bond election for November 3, 2009. Sienna Plantation residents will have the chance to vote for or against giving the District the ability to sell a maximum amount of $49 million for park and recreational facilities and to expand the District’s maintenance ability to maintain those parks.
The District started this journey by working with Sienna Plantation residents and past surveys facilitated by SPRAI to list the amenities the residents felt were lacking in Sienna Plantation. Thorough through investigation and numerous meetings requesting feedback and information, the following Sienna Plantation Master Park Plan was created.
The Master Park Plan is a long-range goal of amenities that can be provided in Sienna Plantation.

This project is just one phase of the planned renovation at the Missouri City, TX government center (city hall, library, office, rec). It includes monumentation, wayfinding, screening and theming. Architectural cues are derived from TBG designed monumentation throughout the city.
The American Institute of Architects and New England Municipal Sustainability Network convened a Design & Resilience Team with Belchertown, MA to focus on the future of the town.
On April 4th, the Anacostia Waterfront Trust held a public forum about the Future of the Anacostia Waterfront in partnership with the Committee of 100 on the Federal City and with opening remarks by Former Mayor Anthony Williams, Office of Planning's Tracy Gabriel and the National Park Service's Supt. Tara Morrison.

In early 2019 Habitat for Humanity in Paterson, NJ contacted the APA-NJ chapter to talk about their need for a team of volunteer planners. They wanted to create a concept for a green space along the Passaic River in the Northside Neighborhood of Paterson, NJ. They wanted two types of green space; a walkway along the river, called Riverwalk, and a sports fields in an area along the river dominated by abandoned and marginal industrial and residential properties. The Northside Neighborhood is across the Passaic River from Downtown Paterson.

Crompton Texas A&M University Homes near Austin’s Barton Creek Greenbelt drew a premium of $32,300 to $48,000 for their proximity to the greenbelt, representing between 14.6% and 21.8% of the average price of all homes in the neighborhood. Single-family homeowners within one block of Seattle’s Burke-Gilman Trail reported 52% positive impact on home saleability and 48% positive impact on house price.
