The Black Data Processing Associates (BDPA) Los Angeles Chapter is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the professional development of its members in the IT industry. In 2010, the chapter had 85 paid members from major companies. The chapter hosts workshops and networking events, provides internships and scholarships, and works with local schools in a computer competition program to help students pursue IT careers.
