Front-row seat for telecom’s white-knuckle roller-coaster ride Founded amid late-90s boom, by the start of the Internet revolution and the promises of the bandwidth demand it would bring, We grew quickly through acquisitions, which as you all know, brings along it’s own challenges These acquisitions, however, gave us reach and capacity that was ahead of its time, I’ll obviously get into the time of restructuring and emergence in more detail, but at a high level, the debt that accompanied the construction of this asset was too much to bear as demand did not meet expectations But, the good news with restructuring is that the majority of your debt goes away, and in our case, I fought very hard to keep this asset intact…

Customer Satisfaction scores show 98 percent are “satisfied,” and three quarters are “very satisfied” These same surveys show that our people continue to be a major reason customers continue to buy from us. Traditionally, many thought of Global Crossing as a voice company, due to the North American acquisitions. Or as a pure wholesale provider because of our origin as a sub-sea cable and network provider. But the vision for this company has always been to provide IP services to global enterprises.
