1) Google reported 70% year-over-year revenue growth and 10% quarter-over-quarter revenue growth for Q3 2006. Revenue growth was driven primarily by increased monetization and traffic gains. 2) Operating income and net income reached record levels for the company. Google also continued its focus on innovation and partnerships. 3) Google agreed to acquire YouTube for $1.65 billion in stock, with the goal of enabling anyone to upload, watch and share videos worldwide. The acquisition was expected to close in Q4 2006.
