Shot Locations
 My house – the patio
My first location is going to be the stones
of my patio as are plain and grey –
suggesting a street or somewhere that
people would be as opposed to a forest or
a field, for example. I will film in the
daytime with ambient lighting, which will
already seemunusual as the character is
‘waking up’ in this unusual place and time.
She will have blood and bruises on her
face and will appear dazed and confused.
My sound editing is important here - I
need to include sirens and helicopter
sounds, and mumbled dialogue of
concerned comments.
 The New Forest
This is my second location – the New Forest. I
am going to filmin the early evening (I took this
picture at around 4pm) so that the light is dim–
connoting danger, vulnerability, mystery and
deliriousness. I have chosen this location
because the trees are climbable so I can shoot
from above and the setting is exactly what I
imagined to shoot my film in. I will use wide
angles to create the atmosphere I am trying to
create and also use close ups to capture detail,
including my character’s face and body running
through the trees.
 Staircase
I have chosen this staircase outside my house as
it is simple, and when it’s dark there is very little
other light around it. They are long enough to
create the whole shot in one and there are
cobwebs around that suggest that people are not
around there much. The only light will be a torch
light following the stairs down. I will edit in heavy
breathing and music, with the narrative
throughout.
 The Garden
The last of the flashbacks will be shot in my
garden as there is a lake and a lot of trees which
denotes a peaceful and positive atmosphere
which contrasts with the chaos that she is
actually in. I will filmshort clips in the garden of
them by the water and being together. The
voiceover will continue throughout as will the
music.
I would have much preferred to have shot the
film in the summertime as the garden would
have been brighter but the weather might be
good as it sets a gloomy and depressed
atmosphere.
