1) The summary introduces a male searching for information about a missing woman from Oak Park. Flashes of the mysterious woman are seen. 2) It then cuts to an empty playground at dusk with creaking and giggling sounds. Flashes of point of view footage from 1977 are seen of the woods. 3) A young boy runs along the edge of the woods but is called back by his mother. FADE IN FROM BLACK:
INT: Cluttered House, East Barnet - Evening
A cluttered, dimly lit apartment is seen. Empty coffee cups,
newspapers and books about the supernatural cover the floor. The
atmosphere is unsettling as the sound of classical music is heard from
his radio.
CUT TO:
A males feet are seen, in the shower with the diegetic sound of water
running being heard. Flashes of a red liquid traveling down the drain
with the soap are seen. As the flashes appear, the classical music
becomes distorted.
CUT TO:
The male is seen, looking into a mirror, inserting his contact lens.
He then walks to his stereo, turns up the volume, then continues to
his computer where we see his hands, typing on a laptop keyboard. As
he types, the actors name fades in on the bottom right of the screen,
then fades out. Loud keyboard typing sound effects can be heard.
Focusing in on his internet search, we see him type 'Oak Park Missing
Woman'. In between every other typed word, there are flashes of a
mysterious woman standing in a dark, ominous wood. Each flash gets
closer and closer to the lady as the sounds of the classical music,
and typing, increase in volume. The scene ends when her face turns
away from the camera and faces the woods, the music and sound effects
cut out, and the sound of humming from home appliances is heard, in
order to maintain the audiences unease. The idea that peace cannot be
achieved is created as the scene never falls completely quiet.
FADE SLOWLY TO BLACK, FADE IN:
EXT: Oakhill Park, Playground - Dusk
Creaking and giggling can be heard over images of a swing set and
roundabout moving on their own at night when the playground is empty.
The edit is jumpy and a the humming continues from the previous shot.
CUT TO:
EXT: Oakhill Park, Woods - Dusk
The humming sound continues into this scene. Treetops are seen as the
camera pans down to display the depth of the woods, reveling a tree
with symbolic scratches, and the woman seen earlier, standing in the
background, blurred. The humming fades out.

2. ASA Productions: Script
While tracking a young boy running in slow motion along the path from
behind, next to the woods, flashes of images taken in a point of view
shot recorded with an old style camcorder appear. These shots have a
highly washed effect and are dated with the date '6th September 1977'
and time '20:37'.
The shot then switches and stays with the young boy running, until he
stops to move a branch in order to access the woods. The tension is
being built through the incidental sound of white noise and high
frequencies picking up in pace as he moves closer to the opening.
Flashes of fast moving, dark images with strange objects moving around
the forest appear at this point
MOTHERS VOICE (offscreen)
Callum... honey?
Her voice is soft and gentle.
The tension which was built, suddenly breaks as the boy jumps at the
sound of the voice, and runs off screen, to the right.
CUT TO:
EXT: Oakhill Park, Edge of the forest, with path in view - Dusk
A pair of women's feet coming from the edge of the forest are seen to
step back into the forest as the boy runs away. The sound is highly
dramatic as a monotonous tone builds up to a high volume before
cutting along with the scene.
CUT TO BLACK, HOLD, THEN FADE IN:
EXT: Oakhill Park
A soundtrack begins to play in order to generate a chilling
atmosphere. The soundtrack is made up of a steady drum beat and a
violin tone.
A time-lapse of clouds moving fast in the sky at dusk is seen. In
white, the name 'Andrew Michael' appears in the bottom left which
fades in, then fades out.
CUT TO:
A close up shot of rain hitting the ground at night. In white, the
name 'Anna Peleties' appears in the upper right which fades in, then
fades out. The sound of the heavy rain is hear.
CUT TO:
As a match is thrown, a fire ignites rapidly and begins to crackle.
Off-centered to the left, written in white, the name 'Sophia Michael'
fades in, then fades out.

3. ASA Productions: Script
'Within the Woods' titles appear on top of a shot of the tress in the
woods, at night. The shot then fades to a black screen, and the titles
remain, written in white. As the screen fades to black, the title is
accompanied by the nursery rhyme 'if you go down in the woods
today...' in a slow, chilling tone. All of the sound fades out, along
with the scene.
