Student Name and Number:
Adam Christie-Mileham
Project proposal title and date:
Through the Glass
Main area of activity:
A film and classic photography book
Rationale:
During this year I have completed my music video project and my game design with promotions
these projects have been very helpful with teaching me the use of new software’s like photoshop
and premier which are great tools for any future projects especially my fmp this knowledge will be
the main factor in any projects I make from now on as the information gained has helped me
progress past making basic ideas in projects the last project we did was the film and game design
which was similar in a way to my fmp idea as its promoting things and having to make media for
the public which is a lot like a book as its made for the public to read. This project will have helped
my greatly moving into my fmp as its given me a lot of ideas and skills I needed.
Project Concept:
Photography book: it will be a large book detailed in everything related to classic film photography
which includes how-to guides on using the old cameras manually and using the film to be
reviewing cameras I own personally for people to see. I have made this as my project as I believe
there is not as much info as there could be for beginners and professionals out there on classic
photography and I believe a book like this would have been helpful to me when I was starting off.
It will have lots of images of my cameras and other brands taken by me with lots of information and
guides in it plus work from other photographers that are worth sharing out for inspiration.
How will the project be evaluated and reviewed:
I will be making a diary weekly of what I get done during the week in detail with what I struggled
with or what I’ve been improving and doing well in this will be good to precisely see when I did
what and how long it took me so I can track all my progress which will also hopefully help my fmp
be more detailed and thorough.
