This document outlines a study analyzing a pulley system for efficiently transporting an imported steel container. The study aims to design a pulley system that can be operated by a single worker to lift one ton of steel materials in the container to be transported. Diagrams show a potential pulley configuration using different sized pulleys. Calculations are shown to determine the pulley radii needed so that the maximum 18kg force a worker can apply lifts the 1,000kg load. The analysis indicates the design of pulleys with 30cm and 4cm radii meets the force requirements for safe single-operator lifting of the container.
