This document presents an analytical study of a pulley system for the proper dispatch of an imported steel container. It defines the problem as determining the most relevant characteristics for such a study. The objectives are to analyze the conditions for equilibrium in a pulley-load system and apply equilibrium equations to design an effective pulley system. Diagrams show a potential pulley apparatus and calculations to determine pulley radii that allow a single worker to lift the 1-ton container within force limits.
