Classification of Nematodes
Nematodes are classified into the following classes:
1. Phasmidia or Secernentea
• These are mostly parasitic.
• Caudal glands are absent.
• Unicellular, pouch-like sense organs called plasmids are present.
• The excretory system has paired lateral canals.
• Eg., Ascaris, Enterobius
2. Aphasmidia or Adenophorea
• They are free-living organisms.
• The excretory system has no lateral canals.
• Caudal glands are present.
• Phasmids are absent.
• Eg., Capillaria, Trichinella
In this Presentation, Phylum Ctentophora, Comb Jellies is described. After watching this you will learn the characteristics and examples of Phylum Ctentophora. The detail description of Pleurobranchia along with reproduction, colloblasts, mesoglea, comb rows and nerve net. It is part of BS Zoology Course Animal diversity.
Define comparative anatomy.
Classifiy the phylum chordata.
Discuss the limb development of tetrapods.
Describe the features of tetrapods.
Explain the structure and function of the limb of tetrapods.
Discuss homology and analogy in relation to the limb of tetrapods.
