Laszlo Moholy-Nagy was a Hungarian artist and designer born in 1895 who was influential in the Bauhaus movement. He studied at the Bauhaus school in the 1920s where he taught foundation courses and advocated for integrating technology and art. Moholy-Nagy worked innovatively in many fields including photography, filmmaking, and industrial design. He later helped establish the New Bauhaus in Chicago in 1937 before founding the School of Design, now known as the Institute of Design. Moholy-Nagy had a significant influence on art education and modern design through his work and teachings.
