Jesus performed two miracles. First, he walked on water during a storm to meet his disciples who were in a boat struggling against the wind and waves. When Peter tried to walk on water toward Jesus, he began to sink from doubt but Jesus saved him. Second, in Gennesaret, many sick people were brought to Jesus on mats and all who touched the edge of his clothes were healed.

Jesus walks on water (Matthew14:22-33)
Right away Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “Your faith is so small!” he said. “Why
did you doubt me?” (Matthew 14:31)
Afterthe miraculousfeedingof 5,000 menand theirfamilies (Matthew 14:16-21, Mark 6:35-44, Luke
9:12-17, John6:5-14), Jesustoldhisdisciplestogetintoa boatand go to the otherside of the Seaof
Galilee.He thendismissedthe crowdandwentupa mountainbyhimself topray.Afterwards,Jesus
performedamiracle of walkingonwater.Asexplainedinthe Gospel of Matthew,whichgivesthe most
detailedaccountof the miracle incomparisontothe Gospelsof Mark and John:
“Rightaway Jesusmade the disciplesgetinto the boat. He hadthem go on aheadof him to the other
side ofthe Sea of Galilee.Thenhe sent the crowd away. 23

“Lord,isityou?” Peter asked. “Ifit is,tell me to
come to you on the water.” 29
“Come,” Jesussaid.
So Peter got outof the boat. He walkedon the water toward Jesus. 30
But when Peter saw the wind,he
was afraid.He began to sink.He cried out, “Lord!Save me!”31

and caughthim.“Yourfaithis so small!” hesaid.“Whydidyou doubtme?”

Whenthey climbedinto the boat,the winddied down. 33
Then those in the boat worshipedJesus.
They said,“Youreally are the Sonof God!”(Matthew14:22-33).
Healing of many in Gennesaret - (Mark 6:53-56)
“They ran through that whole area to bring tohim those who were sick. They carried them on
mats to where they heard he was”(Mark 6:53-56).
On the Seaof Galilee, Jesisandhisdisciplesanchoredtheirboatonthe shore at the town of Gennesaret.
The residentsthere recognizedJesusandwenttohimto be miraculouslyhealedof variousailments.
Eventhe people who touchedJesus'clothingwere healed. Asexplainedinthe Gospel of Mark:
“They went across the lake andlanded at Gennesaret.There they tied up the boat. 54
