‘MODI HAI TO MUMKIN HAI…’ UNTOLD STORIES OF PM MODI — PART 43
PradhanSevak’s
Impeccable9yrsofService
Read these 9 potent stories on 9 powerful facets of NaMo’s governance of his 9
years in the role of the country’s Pradhan Sevak. These 9 transformational ideas
have been the defining aspects of Modi’s promise that he will create an enabling
environment through “minimum government, maximum governance”
Long Term Vision
PM Modi is futuristic. If he
speaks about Amrit Kaal,
he talks about it from a
perspective that covers the
coming century. If he talks
about an India that is devel-
oped, he also refers to the
illustrious and noble past of
our country that has made
our country what it is!
1
Atmanirbhar Bharat
The Honourable PM has
been pretty clear about the
whole thought process be-
hind Atmanirbhar Bharat and
what he wants it to look like.
He wants Indian products for
the Indian forces. On the 15th
of August, there is this iconic
21-gun salute. All these years
it was being done by the
British-made 25 pounder gun.
This time, he said “No, we
have to have an Indian gun to
make them to do it!” And we
did that. He made it happen.
2
Ease of Living
I happened to meet a
homemaker in Patna,
named Prabha. I got into a
conversation with her and
asked her “So whom are
you going to vote for in the
upcoming elections?” She
replied “I will vote for Modi-
ji!” I asked her again “Why
are you going to vote for
Modiji?” Prabha said “Didi,
my ancestors, my grandpar-
ents, parents all are dead
and gone and they died in
darkness. Today, I have
light in my house. I have
electricity. Not just this,
Modiji has also given us the
gas connection. Like my
grandmother and mother, I
don’t have to choke cooking
on the chulha either. This is
why I will vote for Modiji!”
3
National Security
We carried out surgical
strikes, not once but on a
number of occasions. In the
East, we did it on the Indo-
Myanmar border, we did in
Pakistan on both land and
in air, so while the capability
to carry out these actions
always existed with us, we
were not getting the political
go-ahead, the green signal
to actually do something like
that. So what has changed
now is that the will is there
to demonstrate to the world
and to our neighbours that
not only do we have the
capability, we have the will
to execute and translate that
capability into action.
4
Corruption-freegovernance
If there is one leader who
has tried to remove the mid-
dlemen culture, corruption
at higher as well as lower
levels in the last 75 years,
it is Prime Minister Modi.
If bureaucrats are honest,
no one can bribe them. He
made this the principle of
his governance as soon as
he took over.
8
Against Freebies
Once I had been appointed
Chairperson of Finance
Commission and we were in
the middle of a conversation.
A question cropped up and
it was regarding freebies.
Of late freebies has been a
hot topic of discussion. He
believes in fiscal laxity and is
steadfast on fiscal rectitude.
If today our macro-economic
stability is strong with low
current account deficits,
large fund investments com-
ing in, feisty deficits and debt
in spite of the pandemic,
it is because of his vision.
Modiji never allowed public
exchequer to be used in a
manner where debt would
become unserviceable.
5
Thrust on Infrastructure
His thoughts about infra are
exceedingly transforma-
tive, especially when you
consider the strategy of
retrofitting that he introduced
into the vision for smart city
planning. This has brought in
practicality and the point to
remember is that, cities don’t
become good cities only
through building of roads.
Modiji told all of us that what
we also need are clean toi-
lets and robust management
of solid and liquid waste. To-
day most cities are perform-
ing exceedingly well under
the Swachh Bharat Yojana
and making a marked con-
tribution in the management
of solid and liquid waste. All
these works are because of
Modiji’s vision.

Against VIP Culture
When you move around
in a car with lal batti, your
status definitely appears to
be distinct from the rest of
the people. Modiji abolished
this practice completely
in one fell swoop. He said
“We are ordinary people. I
am the Pradhan Sevak. All
of us are here to serve the
people. We are not VIPs.”
7
Arjun Ram Meghwal,
Union Minister
Digital India
We said to Modiji that as part
of Digital India initiative, we
will club a few projects. He
said “No, not at all. All this
won’t work. Think about how
we wish to create a Digital In-
dia without taking money into
consideration.” He wanted us
to create a digitally powered,
knowledge society and this
is what we call high thinking.
He is a leader who thinks big
and has the vision to trans-
form society in a big way.

“What is the Gujarat Model?” I
once asked Modi saheb. “Come,
visit Gujarat and see for yourself!”
was his response. He invited me to see all
the works that had been done there while
he was the CM. The first place I visited
was a tribal area and I came to know of
an innovative initiative taken by Modiji
saheb - the Cow Hostel. He had estab-
lished this cow hostel in Akodara village
of Sabarkantha district and this was In-
dia’s first animal hostel. Not many people
understood the concept of cow hostel
when it was proposed. Modi saheb’s pro-
posed plan was to get a huge hall built
that would cater for the entire tribal area.
Further, all tribals would be asked to take
their cows to that hall in the evening and
tie them there for the night. Early morn-
ing the next day, the cows would be
milked there itself. The milkman would
then come to the hostel to collect milk for
customers and cow dung too would be
collected and sold. The veterinary doc-
tors, who would otherwise visit house-
holds individually, would now reach the
hostel and look after all the needs of the
cows. Thus, the everyday needs of the
cows, including the feed given to them
every morning and evening, their treat-
ment and hygiene, everything would be
taken care of under one shelter. This in-
deed is a unique model of development
introduced by Modiji in Gujarat.
Modiji’s work as Gujarat CM was
happening with full gusto. Do you
know in which state was the De-
partment of Climate Change first estab-
lished? It was Gujarat. Modiji used to
participate in various programs hosted by
an organization called Climate Group in
London of which I was one of the board
members. I am talking about a time when
even the Ministry of Environment was
not associated with anything that had to
do with Climate Change.
It was in one of these programs that
Modiji mentioned to me “The kind of en-
ergy import dependence we have is not
sustainable. We need to focus on solar
power if we wish to becomeAtmanirbhar
in the energy sector.” Well, no one would
talk about solar in those days. He sug-
gested that in order to harvest solar en-
ergy, we must create a Global Solar Alli-
ance which he created after becoming the
PM. For this he even wrote a letter to the
then Prime Minister but it did not work
out. I was the Chairman of the Council of
Energy, Environment and Water and in
my capacity, we tried to spread his ideas
on solar power on a large scale. Soon after
he became the Prime Minister, Modiji
implemented these programs. Today, a
country such as the United States is also
part of the Solar Alliance which is head-
quartered in our country. All this is pos-
sible only because of Modiji’s vision and
values. His endeavour in this direction is
going to benefit environment, the issues
of climate change and energy security.
The country was in lockdown, the
world was in the grip of a deadly
pandemic, and there was panic all around!
Our country had never manufactured a
PPE suit when COVID 19 hit us. It was
the month of March when lockdown was
announced and at that time, India used to
import only about 50-55 thousand PPE
suits annually. We had an analysis from
a study that told us that these 50 to 55
thousand imported PPE suits would be
used up completely in a month’s time. We
would not have any PPE suits after that.
We have always had firm guidelines
from PM Modi on how he wants us to run
the government and that is to run it in a
“synergistic, coordinated way.” I remem-
ber how the External Affairs Ministry,
Ministry of Railways, Urban Develop-
ment Ministry, Rural Development Min-
istry and of course, Health Ministry -
these five to six ministries got together in
mission mode. We discussed across the
table that if we need cloth, where do we
get it from? If we need machines, where
do we get them from? We requested Avi-
ation Minister Mr Hardeep Puri to fly a
plane to Japan to get us 30 machines and
he did that. So, what we witnessed first
hand at that time was how a government
comes together in a critical situation. It
was a truly remarkable experience under
the leadership of PM Modi. He had di-
rected us to work towardsAtmanirbharta.
He said “India has to be self-reliant in the
manufacturing of PPE suits as interna-
tional borders are being sealed.” And I
am very proud to say that India that did
not have a single company manufactur-
ing PPE suits when lockdown began, in
three months it had 1,100 companies with
a billion dollar turnover. We created 5
lakh jobs in lockdown and India became
the second largest exporter of PPE suits.
This happened just because the Prime
Minister drew conditions for Make In
India for PPE suits.

The Law Commission on
Wednesday initiated a
fresh consultation pro-
cess on uniform civil
code by seeking views
from stakeholders, in-
cluding public and recog-
nised religious organisa-
tions, on the politically
sensitive issue.
Earlier, the 21st Law
Commission, whose term
ended in August 2018,
had examined the issue
and solicited the views of
all stakeholders on two
occasions. Subsequently,
a consultation paper on
“Reforms of Family
Law” was issued in 2018.
“Since more than three
years have lapsed from
the date of issuance of the
said consultation paper,
bearing in mind the rele-
vance and importance of
the subject and also the
various court orders on
the subject, the 22nd Law
Commission of India
considered it expedient
to deliberate afresh over
the subject,” the panel
said in a ‘public notice’.
The 22nd Law Com-
mission, which recently
got a three-year exten-
sion, has accordingly be-
gun examining issues
related to UCC on a ref-
erence sent by the Minis-
try of Law and Justice in
June 2016.

Mohan Bhagwat

Who will BJP field
from Ghazipur?
Centre unpleased on Brij Bhushan incident!
Will Modi gift Ramayana to Biden?
Priyanka Gandhi to contest from MP?
Political ‘mithaas’!
What’s in Abdullah dad-son duo’s mind?
Will Mohan Bhagwat
become a guest of
China? According to
sources, China may invite
Mohan Bhagwat for
exchange of cultural
heritage. Although the
Chinese government will not
officially invite, but the
invitation may come through
some Chinese institute. But
there is doubt on India’s
consent at the moment.
After all, who will be
the face of BJP from
Ghazipur? Ghazipur of UP is
considered a hot seat and
Manoj Sinha was the BJP
candidate from this seat in
2019. But Sinha was
defeated by over 1 lakh
votes. Although Sinha is
now Governor of JK. So,
whom will the BJP field this
time? Sinha’s son Anubhav
or daughter-in-law Deepali
could be candidates. These
days both are spending
most of their time in
Ghazipur. But reportedly,
Yogi is not in favor of either
of these 2 ticket because
Yadav and Rajput vote
banks have more influence
on this seat.
Will action be taken against Brij
Bhushan Sharan Singh? Accord-
ing to sources, PM Modi is angry about
the whole incident and Centre is not
ready for any compromise on issues
related to women. But a unit of UP BJP
has a different opinion. Brij Bhushan is
considered active and a popular MP,
and has also talked about contesting
again in 2024. Moreover, Brijbhushan
has a good influence on about 10
assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh.
There is immense curiosity about Prime Minister
Modi’s visit to America! After all, what gift will
Prime Minister Modi give to
Biden? Earlier, Modi
presented Bhagavad Gita to
Obama which was a special
edition of Bhagavad Gita
written by Mahatma Gandhi
and there was tremendous
discussion on social media
about this. This time also the team is looking for a
best gift for Biden and according to sources, this time
a special edition of ‘Ramayana’ can be given as a gift.
Will Priyanka Gandhi contest from Madhya
Pradesh? Recently Priyanka got the command of
Madhya Pradesh and
according to sources,
Priyanka can contest from any
MP seat in 2024. On the other
hand, Rahul Gandhi wants
early by-elections in Kerala.
Rahul wants by-election
before rejecting the post of
MP and for this the Election Commission has also
started the process.
As a goodwill measure, Bangladesh PM Sheikh
Hasina sent mangoes from Bangladesh for PM
Modi! These mangoes were sent for Prez Droupadi
Murmu as well and to many other celebrities including
Sonia Gandhi. Mango varieties like Himsagar, Langda
have been sent and all these high quality mangoes
are grown in Rajshahi city of Bangladesh. Interest-
ingly, PM Modi has sent a box of mangoes to Mamata!
Farooq Abdullah gave hints to CM Nitish Kumar
of his own presence in Patna and absence of
Omar Abdullah. Farooq reportedly told Nitish, “Omar
has taken a stand to stay away from opposition unity.”
Meanwhile, Omar Abdullah told the reason for this to
JDU and asked, “Where was JDU when Article 370
was removed? We have 5 seats in Kashmir. We will
contest against BJP on these seats. We have nothing
to do with the opposition conference.”

special respect in Indian

these sentiments, we
started the Senior Citizen

August, 2013 while ful-
filling the responsibility.
At that time, 41,000 pil-
grims were sent to differ-
ent places for darshan. So
far 1.17 lakh senior citi-

Gehlot visited Dur-
gapura Railway Station

and addressed the pas-

the State government is
also adding new pilgrim-

of the Scheme.
“Only 47,000 pilgrims

we took it forward by
adding new pilgrimage

ing to budget announce-
ment this year, 40,000

during the Covid period,

Sudhansh Pant gets the reins of nation’s ‘Health’!
Rajendra Chhabra
Jaipur
enior IAS Sud-
hansh Pant has
been ‘awarded’
by the Central govern-
ment for his perfor-
mance, merit and experi-
ence and has been ap-
pointed as Secretary of
the Health Department,
the department in which
he has been at the helm of
for six years!
When in September
2014, 1991 batch IAS
Sudhansh Pant went for
central deputation, he was
first posted as Joint Secre-
tary (JS) in Pharmaceuti-
cals department and then
as JS in health Depart-
ment. What is interesting
here is the fact that when
after the completion of his
deputation period, pant
returned to Jaipur in Janu-
ary 2020, he was called
back in March 2020 as the
entire nation was under
the Covid wave and the
Health Ministry had sev-
eral major responsibili-
ties. In such a situation,
the central government
remembered Sudhansh
Pant’s services and expe-
rience in the department.
Although he was called
foraperiodoftwomonths
ontemporarybasis,buthe
was not released for nine
months!
It was a moment of
pride for the Rajasthan
cadre when during a ‘na-
tional calamity,’a bureau-
crat from the State cadre
was of immense use in the
Centre. In fact, the Centre
wantedtopromotePantto
thepostofAdditionalSec-
retary and keep him there,
but the Rajasthan govern-
ment called him back in
January 2021. But in Oc-
tober 2022, Pant returned
to New Delhi and he was
appointed as Secretary,
Ports, Shipping and Wa-
terways.
Now after eight
months, he has been ap-
pointed as Secretary of
Health Department re-
garding which Pant has
immense experience.
And thus, it is believed
that he will handle the
reins of the Department
with immense finesse!
Notably, Pant will take
charge of the post of Sec-
retary in Ministry of
Health after July 31. At
present, IAS Rajesh
Bhushan of Bihar cadre is
serving on this post and
Pant will take charge after
his retirement on July 31.
Currently Pant is posted

n the realm of beauty and
fashion, few things possess
the captivating power and
timeless allure quite like red
lipstick. Its rich and vibrant
hue has adorned the lips of
countless women throughout
history, leaving an in-
delible mark on the
world of glam-
our and style.
The signifi-
cance of red
lipstick ex-
tends far be-
yond its mere
cosmetic function,
representing empow-
erment, confidence, and
a celebration of femininity.
Red lipstick holds a
unique place in our collec-
tive cultural consciousness.
From the iconic red lips of
Hollywood starlets to the re-
bellious and fiery pouts of
punk rockers, it has always
been a symbol of boldness
and self-expression. With
just a single swipe, red lip-
stick can transform an ordi-
nary look into a statement of
confidence, seduction, and
power. It has the ability to
instantly boost one’s self-
esteem, commanding atten-
tion and conveying a sense
of purpose.
Historically, red lipstick
has been a symbol of libera-
tion and defiance. In ancient
Egypt, both men and women
used red pigments to paint
their lips, associating the
color with divine beauty and
fertility. In more recent his-
tory, red lipstick gained popu-
larity during the suffragette
movement, as women used it
as a visual representation of
their fight for equal rights. By
embracing red lips, they de-
fied societal expectations and
asserted their agency, de-
mandingtobeseenandheard.
Beyond its symbolic sig-
nificance, red lipstick pos-
sesses the transformative
ability to enhance one’s nat-
ural beauty and create a sig-
nature look. It has the power
to brighten the face, add a
touch of glamour, and ele-
vate any ensemble. Whether
worn with a classic little
black dress or a casual jeans-
and-t-shirt combination, red
lipstick has the uncanny abil-
ity to elevate the overall aes-
thetic, adding an element of
sophistication and elegance.
Moreover, red lipstick
transcends age, skin tone,
and cultural boundaries. It
has the remarkable ability to
unite women from all walks
of life. The universality of
red lipstick lies in its versatil-
ity and adaptability to differ-
ent styles and occasions.
Whether it’s a matte red for a
professional setting, a glossy
red for a romantic evening, or
a vibrant red for a night on
the town, there is a shade of
red lipstick for every woman,
regardless of her personal
style or cultural background.
In a world that often pres-
sures women to conform to
certain beauty standards, red
lipstick provides a sense of
liberation and self-expres-
sion. It encourages women
to embrace their individual-
ity and celebrate their unique
features. Red lipstick allows
women to channel their inner
confidence. It serves as a re-
minder that beauty knows no
boundaries and that every
woman has the right to feel
empowered and beautiful in
her own skin.

These stories give us an insight into the inspiring leadership of PM Modi that makes his government so strong, cohesive and successful. ‘MODI HAI TO MUMKIN HAI…’ UNTOLD STORIES OF PM MODI — PART 44 PERSPECTIVE www.firstindia.co.in firstindia.co.in/epapers/jaipur thefirstindia thefirstindia thefirstindia 04 Jaipur, Thursday | June 8, 2023 ‘MODI HAI TO MUMKIN HAI…’ UNTOLD STORIES OF PM MODI — PART 43 PradhanSevak’s Impeccable9yrsofService Read these 9 potent stories on 9 powerful facets of NaMo’s governance of his 9 years in the role of the country’s Pradhan Sevak. These 9 transformational ideas have been the defining aspects of Modi’s promise that he will create an enabling environment through “minimum government, maximum governance” Long Term Vision PM Modi is futuristic. If he speaks about Amrit Kaal, he talks about it from a perspective that covers the coming century. If he talks about an India that is devel- oped, he also refers to the illustrious and noble past of our country that has made our country what it is! 1 Atmanirbhar Bharat The Honourable PM has been pretty clear about the whole thought process be- hind Atmanirbhar Bharat and what he wants it to look like. He wants Indian products for the Indian forces. On the 15th of August, there is this iconic 21-gun salute. All these years it was being done by the British-made 25 pounder gun. This time, he said “No, we have to have an Indian gun to make them to do it!” And we did that. He made it happen. 2 Ease of Living I happened to meet a homemaker in Patna, named Prabha. I got into a conversation with her and asked her “So whom are you going to vote for in the upcoming elections?” She replied “I will vote for Modi- ji!” I asked her again “Why are you going to vote for Modiji?” Prabha said “Didi, my ancestors, my grandpar- ents, parents all are dead and gone and they died in darkness. Today, I have light in my house. I have electricity. Not just this, Modiji has also given us the gas connection. Like my grandmother and mother, I don’t have to choke cooking on the chulha either. This is why I will vote for Modiji!” 3 National Security We carried out surgical strikes, not once but on a number of occasions. In the East, we did it on the Indo- Myanmar border, we did in Pakistan on both land and in air, so while the capability to carry out these actions always existed with us, we were not getting the political go-ahead, the green signal to actually do something like that. So what has changed now is that the will is there to demonstrate to the world and to our neighbours that not only do we have the capability, we have the will to execute and translate that capability into action. 4 Corruption-freegovernance If there is one leader who has tried to remove the mid- dlemen culture, corruption at higher as well as lower levels in the last 75 years, it is Prime Minister Modi. If bureaucrats are honest, no one can bribe them. He made this the principle of his governance as soon as he took over. 8 Against Freebies Once I had been appointed Chairperson of Finance Commission and we were in the middle of a conversation. A question cropped up and it was regarding freebies. Of late freebies has been a hot topic of discussion. He believes in fiscal laxity and is steadfast on fiscal rectitude. If today our macro-economic stability is strong with low current account deficits, large fund investments com- ing in, feisty deficits and debt in spite of the pandemic, it is because of his vision. Modiji never allowed public exchequer to be used in a manner where debt would become unserviceable. 5 Thrust on Infrastructure His thoughts about infra are exceedingly transforma- tive, especially when you consider the strategy of retrofitting that he introduced into the vision for smart city planning. This has brought in practicality and the point to remember is that, cities don’t become good cities only through building of roads. Modiji told all of us that what we also need are clean toi- lets and robust management of solid and liquid waste. To- day most cities are perform- ing exceedingly well under the Swachh Bharat Yojana and making a marked con- tribution in the management of solid and liquid waste. All these works are because of Modiji’s vision. 6 COMPILED AND EDITED BY SHASHIKANT SHARMA AND SHWETA SHARMA  Vol 5  Issue No. 2  RNI NO. RAJENG/2019/77764. Modiji abolished this practice completely in one fell swoop. He said “We are ordinary people. I am the Pradhan Sevak. All of us are here to serve the people. We are not VIPs.” 7 Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister Digital India We said to Modiji that as part of Digital India initiative, we will club a few projects. He said “No, not at all. All this won’t work. Think about how we wish to create a Digital In- dia without taking money into consideration.” He wanted us to create a digitally powered, knowledge society and this is what we call high thinking. He is a leader who thinks big and has the vision to trans- form society in a big way. 9 Dr RS Sharma, CEO, National Health Authority You read PART 42 on JUNE 1, 2023 PRIME MINISTER NARENDRA MODI You read PART 43 on JUNE 8, 2023 “What is the Gujarat Model?” I once asked Modi saheb. “Come, visit Gujarat and see for yourself!” was his response. He invited me to see all the works that had been done there while he was the CM. The first place I visited was a tribal area and I came to know of an innovative initiative taken by Modiji saheb - the Cow Hostel. He had estab- lished this cow hostel in Akodara village of Sabarkantha district and this was In- dia’s first animal hostel. Not many people understood the concept of cow hostel when it was proposed. Modi saheb’s pro- posed plan was to get a huge hall built that would cater for the entire tribal area. Further, all tribals would be asked to take their cows to that hall in the evening and tie them there for the night. Early morn- ing the next day, the cows would be milked there itself. The milkman would then come to the hostel to collect milk for customers and cow dung too would be collected and sold. The veterinary doc- tors, who would otherwise visit house- holds individually, would now reach the hostel and look after all the needs of the cows. Thus, the everyday needs of the cows, including the feed given to them every morning and evening, their treat- ment and hygiene, everything would be taken care of under one shelter. This in- deed is a unique model of development introduced by Modiji in Gujarat. Modiji’s work as Gujarat CM was happening with full gusto. Do you know in which state was the De- partment of Climate Change first estab- lished? It was Gujarat. Modiji used to participate in various programs hosted by an organization called Climate Group in London of which I was one of the board members. I am talking about a time when even the Ministry of Environment was not associated with anything that had to do with Climate Change. It was in one of these programs that Modiji mentioned to me “The kind of en- ergy import dependence we have is not sustainable. We need to focus on solar power if we wish to becomeAtmanirbhar in the energy sector.” Well, no one would talk about solar in those days. He sug- gested that in order to harvest solar en- ergy, we must create a Global Solar Alli- ance which he created after becoming the PM. For this he even wrote a letter to the then Prime Minister but it did not work out. I was the Chairman of the Council of Energy, Environment and Water and in my capacity, we tried to spread his ideas on solar power on a large scale. Soon after he became the Prime Minister, Modiji implemented these programs. Today, a country such as the United States is also part of the Solar Alliance which is head- quartered in our country. All this is pos- sible only because of Modiji’s vision and values. His endeavour in this direction is going to benefit environment, the issues of climate change and energy security. The country was in lockdown, the world was in the grip of a deadly pandemic, and there was panic all around! Our country had never manufactured a PPE suit when COVID 19 hit us. It was the month of March when lockdown was announced and at that time, India used to import only about 50-55 thousand PPE suits annually. We had an analysis from a study that told us that these 50 to 55 thousand imported PPE suits would be used up completely in a month’s time. We would not have any PPE suits after that. We have always had firm guidelines from PM Modi on how he wants us to run the government and that is to run it in a “synergistic, coordinated way.” I remem- ber how the External Affairs Ministry, Ministry of Railways, Urban Develop- ment Ministry, Rural Development Min- istry and of course, Health Ministry - these five to six ministries got together in mission mode. We discussed across the table that if we need cloth, where do we get it from? If we need machines, where do we get them from? We requested Avi- ation Minister Mr Hardeep Puri to fly a plane to Japan to get us 30 machines and he did that. So, what we witnessed first hand at that time was how a government comes together in a critical situation. It was a truly remarkable experience under the leadership of PM Modi. He had di- rected us to work towardsAtmanirbharta. He said “India has to be self-reliant in the manufacturing of PPE suits as interna- tional borders are being sealed.” And I am very proud to say that India that did not have a single company manufactur- ing PPE suits when lockdown began, in three months it had 1,100 companies with a billion dollar turnover. We created 5 lakh jobs in lockdown and India became the second largest exporter of PPE suits. This happened just because the Prime Minister drew conditions for Make In India for PPE suits. Subsequently, a consultation paper on “Reforms of Family Law” was issued in 2018. “Since more than three years have lapsed from the date of issuance of the said consultation paper, bearing in mind the rele- vance and importance of the subject and also the various court orders on the subject, the 22nd Law Commission of India considered it expedient to deliberate afresh over the subject,” the panel said in a ‘public notice’. Who will BJP field from Ghazipur? Centre unpleased on Brij Bhushan incident! Will Modi gift Ramayana to Biden? Priyanka Gandhi to contest from MP? Political ‘mithaas’! What’s in Abdullah dad-son duo’s mind? Will Mohan Bhagwat become a guest of China? According to sources, China may invite Mohan Bhagwat for exchange of cultural heritage. Although the Chinese government will not officially invite, but the invitation may come through some Chinese institute. But there is doubt on India’s consent at the moment. After all, who will be the face of BJP from Ghazipur? Ghazipur of UP is considered a hot seat and Manoj Sinha was the BJP candidate from this seat in 2019. But Sinha was defeated by over 1 lakh votes. Although Sinha is now Governor of JK. So, whom will the BJP field this time? Sinha’s son Anubhav or daughter-in-law Deepali could be candidates. These days both are spending most of their time in Ghazipur. But reportedly, Yogi is not in favor of either of these 2 ticket because Yadav and Rajput vote banks have more influence on this seat. Will action be taken against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh? Accord- ing to sources, PM Modi is angry about the whole incident and Centre is not ready for any compromise on issues related to women. But a unit of UP BJP has a different opinion. Brij Bhushan is considered active and a popular MP, and has also talked about contesting again in 2024. Moreover, Brijbhushan has a good influence on about 10 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. There is immense curiosity about Prime Minister Modi’s visit to America! After all, what gift will Prime Minister Modi give to Biden? Earlier, Modi presented Bhagavad Gita to Obama which was a special edition of Bhagavad Gita written by Mahatma Gandhi and there was tremendous discussion on social media about this. This time also the team is looking for a best gift for Biden and according to sources, this time a special edition of ‘Ramayana’ can be given as a gift. Will Priyanka Gandhi contest from Madhya Pradesh? Recently Priyanka got the command of Madhya Pradesh and according to sources, Priyanka can contest from any MP seat in 2024. On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi wants early by-elections in Kerala. Rahul wants by-election before rejecting the post of MP and for this the Election Commission has also started the process. Rajendra Chhabra Jaipur enior IAS Sud- hansh Pant has been ‘awarded’ by the Central govern- ment for his perfor- mance, merit and experi- ence and has been ap- pointed as Secretary of the Health Department, the department in which he has been at the helm of for six years! When in September 2014, 1991 batch IAS Sudhansh Pant went for central deputation, he was first posted as Joint Secre- tary (JS) in Pharmaceuti- cals department and then as JS in health Depart- ment. What is interesting here is the fact that when after the completion of his deputation period, pant returned to Jaipur in Janu- ary 2020, he was called back in March 2020 as the entire nation was under the Covid wave and the Health Ministry had sev- eral major responsibili- ties. In such a situation, the central government remembered Sudhansh Pant’s services and expe- rience in the department. Although he was called foraperiodoftwomonths ontemporarybasis, buthe was not released for nine months! It was a moment of pride for the Rajasthan cadre when during a ‘na- tional calamity,’a bureau- crat from the State cadre was of immense use in the Centre. In fact, the Centre wantedtopromotePantto thepostofAdditionalSec- retary and keep him there, but the Rajasthan govern- ment called him back in January 2021. But in Oc- tober 2022, Pant returned to New Delhi and he was appointed as Secretary, Ports, Shipping and Wa- terways. Now after eight months, he has been ap- pointed as Secretary of Health Department re- garding which Pant has immense experience. And thus, it is believed that he will handle the reins of the Department with immense finesse! Notably, Pant will take charge of the post of Sec- retary in Ministry of Health after July 31. At present, IAS Rajesh Bhushan of Bihar cadre is serving on this post and Pant will take charge after his retirement on July 31. Currently Pant is posted as OSD in Central Health Department. • 10. n the realm of beauty and fashion, few things possess the captivating power and timeless allure quite like red lipstick. Its rich and vibrant hue has adorned the lips of countless women throughout history, leaving an in- delible mark on the world of glam- our and style. The signifi- cance of red lipstick ex- tends far be- yond its mere cosmetic function, representing empow- erment, confidence, and a celebration of femininity. Red lipstick holds a unique place in our collec- tive cultural consciousness. From the iconic red lips of Hollywood starlets to the re- bellious and fiery pouts of punk rockers, it has always been a symbol of boldness and self-expression. With just a single swipe, red lip- stick can transform an ordi- nary look into a statement of confidence, seduction, and power. It has the ability to instantly boost one’s self- esteem, commanding atten- tion and conveying a sense of purpose. Historically, red lipstick has been a symbol of libera- tion and defiance. In ancient Egypt, both men and women used red pigments to paint their lips, associating the color with divine beauty and fertility. In more recent his- tory, red lipstick gained popu- larity during the suffragette movement, as women used it as a visual representation of their fight for equal rights. By embracing red lips, they de- fied societal expectations and asserted their agency, de- mandingtobeseenandheard. Beyond its symbolic sig- nificance, red lipstick pos- sesses the transformative ability to enhance one’s nat- ural beauty and create a sig- nature look. It has the power to brighten the face, add a touch of glamour, and ele- vate any ensemble. Whether worn with a classic little black dress or a casual jeans- and-t-shirt combination, red lipstick has the uncanny abil- ity to elevate the overall aes- thetic, adding an element of sophistication and elegance. Moreover, red lipstick transcends age, skin tone, and cultural boundaries. It has the remarkable ability to unite women from all walks of life. The universality of red lipstick lies in its versatil- ity and adaptability to differ- ent styles and occasions. Whether it’s a matte red for a professional setting, a glossy red for a romantic evening, or a vibrant red for a night on the town, there is a shade of red lipstick for every woman, regardless of her personal style or cultural background. In a world that often pres- sures women to conform to certain beauty standards, red lipstick provides a sense of liberation and self-expres- sion. It encourages women to embrace their individual- ity and celebrate their unique features. Red lipstick allows women to channel their inner confidence. It serves as a re- minder that beauty knows no boundaries and that every woman has the right to feel empowered and beautiful in her own skin.
