On the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UNESCO, considering this great tradition of India as
useful for the world, has declared World Yoga Day. This is the global acceptance of our tradition and culture
OUR GREAT TRADITION OF YOGA IS
CONNECTED WITH PEOPLE’S MIND
INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA
he word yoga is derived
from the Sanskrit
root
‘Yuj’. It means to join. In
the scriptures related to
yoga, yoga has been desig-
nated as the art and sci-
ence of healthy living. For
the first time here, Maha-
rishi Patanjali
codified
the Yoga Sutras by organ-
izing various meditation
practices.
If you go to the
Indian culture of the Ve-
das, then you will also
meet the tradition of Yoga
there. Hiranyagarbha
preached
yoga at the be-
ginning of creation. The
sages like Patanjali, Jai-
mini etc. later made it ac-
cessible to everyone.
Yoga has been accepted
here from the very begin-
ning as an ideal way of life
with a healthy body and a
healthy mind. Maharish
i
Arvind has described
the
practice of yoga as very
important for the overall
vision of life. I believe that
yoga is not a therapy, it is
the greatest means of self-
development. It has al-
ways been getting im-
portance here in us
only as a method of reali-
zation with the Supreme.
In such times when the
mind constantly wanders
in the blind race of mate-
riality, yoga is very useful
for mental peace and con-
tentment. On the initia-
tive of Prime Minister
Shri Narendra
Modi, UN-
ESCO, considering this
great tradition of India as
useful for the world, has
declared World Yoga Day.
This is the global accept-
ance of our tradition
and culture.
Indian culture is
associated with
loftyvaluesof life.
Yoga is the sound
of that culture.
This is the ideal
way of life, in
which the mind is
attached to the lofty
ideas of welfare
not only
for itself but for the whole
world. It is well known
that we have always be-
lieved in connectin
g, not
breaking. Yoga is the foun-
dation of this. Maharishi
Arvind has explained
yoga very deeply
. He
wrote, “Yoga does not
mean to give up life, but to
face the problems
and
challenges of life with
courage, keeping faith in
the divine power.” Accord-
ingtoAurobindo,yogais
not merely the
practice of dif-
ficult asanas
and pranay-
ama, but self-
less surren-
der to God
and trans-
forming one-
self into divine
form through
mental education.
Yoga is related to the
mind with the body
. If the
mind is healthy, then the
body automatically moves
towards health. In intui-
tion, a person is exposed to
ignorance
within himself.
Yoga helps with this. I
have felt it many times.
Maharishi Aurobindo has
given utmost importance
tointuitioninlife.Because
of this, humanity
has
reached the present stage
of progress. If the modern
generation joins the yogic
routine, it is made manda-
tory in schools and colleg-
es, then many complexi-
ties related to life can be
solved very easily
.
We all know that it is
the Prana Shakti that con-
trols all the activities and
arrangements of the body
.
Accumula
tion of life force
and its arrangem
ent is
possible
only through
yoga. Yoga is naturally re-
lated to Pranayam
a. Pra-
nayama awakens our in-
ner energy and makes it
healthy, balanced and ac-
tive. It is said that yoga
controls the tendencies of
the mind. Its meaning is
that yoga controls the in-
stincts related to our mind
and makes it conducive
to
a healthy life. Bhastrika
,
Kapal Bhati, Tribandha,
Anulom
Vilom, Bhra-
mari, etc. are such easy
yogas, which everyone
can practice with little ef-
fort. If these are done
regularly, then not only
the body but the mind also
remains healthy. For a
healthy, happy, and well-
being life, these activities
related to yoga are also
useful in the way that it
gives direction
to a posi-
tive life.
The meaning of yoga is
to know the powers with-
in, harness them and to
awaken
one’s infinite
powers within by realiz-
ing the inner self. Swami
Vivekananda had advised
yogis in his time that
their conduct and they
themselves should be-
come proof. What he
meant was that yoga
should be kept away from
profession
alism. It should
be seen as the welfare of
humanity, not as a mira-
cle. This is the greatest
need of the hour.
Lord Shri Krishna
has said in the Bhagavad
Gita, ‘Yogah Karmasu
Kaushalam’ which means
doing any work with skill
is yoga. This is a matter of
very deep meaning. If we
understan
d this, then we
will be able to understan

Jaipur: BJP state pres-

said, if Gehlot wants
police to enter the BJP
office, then no one is de-
nying them to do so.
“We have never said
that do not enter. They
have all the power. In
the last 3.5 years, the
CM has done only the
work of using police
force in various inter-
ests, rather than letting
cops act in rape cases or
catching murderers
and goons. He has filed
a sedition case against
his own PCC Chief and
Deputy CM Sachin Pilot
and has got SOG inves-
tigation.” Poonia added
ACB has also been mis-
used. It is the nature of
CM to misuse the po-

He added 7 lakh cases
registered during Ge-
hlot’s reign is a hall-
mark in itself. “No work
has been done to save
the looted pride of any
woman and then they
say that cops will enter
BJP office. Only God
can help such party
.”
On Gehlot’s allega-
tions against BJP of
instigating Hindus and
taking votes, Poonia
said, “He has started
vote bank politics. Ge-
hlot govt gave permis-
sion to PFI in Kota to
take out a rally on the
issue of hijab. They en-
forced prohibitory or-

RESONATING VOICES

On the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UNESCO, considering this great tradition of India as
useful for the world, has declared World Yoga Day. This is the global acceptance of our tradition and culture
OUR GREAT TRADITION OF YOGA IS
CONNECTED WITH PEOPLE’S MIND
INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA
he word yoga is derived
from the Sanskrit root
‘Yuj’. It means to join. In
the scriptures related to
yoga, yoga has been desig-
nated as the art and sci-
ence of healthy living. For
the first time here, Maha-
rishi Patanjali codified
the Yoga Sutras by organ-
izing various meditation
practices. If you go to the
Indian culture of the Ve-
das, then you will also
meet the tradition of Yoga
there. Hiranyagarbha
preached yoga at the be-
ginning of creation. The
sages like Patanjali, Jai-
mini etc. later made it ac-
cessible to everyone.
Yoga has been accepted
here from the very begin-
ning as an ideal way of life
with a healthy body and a
healthy mind. Maharishi
Arvind has described the
practice of yoga as very
important for the overall
vision of life. I believe that
yoga is not a therapy, it is
the greatest means of self-
development. It has al-
ways been getting im-
portance here in us
only as a method of reali-
zation with the Supreme.
In such times when the
mind constantly wanders
in the blind race of mate-
riality, yoga is very useful
for mental peace and con-
tentment. On the initia-
tive of Prime Minister
Shri Narendra Modi, UN-
ESCO, considering this
great tradition of India as
useful for the world, has
declared World Yoga Day.
This is the global accept-
ance of our tradition
and culture.
Indian culture is
associated with
loftyvaluesof life.
Yoga is the sound
of that culture.
This is the ideal
way of life, in
which the mind is
attached to the lofty
ideas of welfare
not only
for itself but for the whole
world. It is well known
that we have always be-
lieved in connecting, not
breaking. Yoga is the foun-
dation of this. Maharishi
Arvind has explained
yoga very deeply
. He
wrote, “Yoga does not
mean to give up life, but to
face the problems and
challenges of life with
courage, keeping faith in
the divine power.” Accord-
ingtoAurobindo,yogais
not merely the
practice of dif-
ficult asanas
and pranay-
ama, but self-
less surren-
der to God
and trans-
forming one-
self into divine
form through
mental education.
Yoga is related to the
mind with the body
. If the
mind is healthy, then the
body automatically moves
towards health. In intui-
tion, a person is exposed to
ignorance within himself.
Yoga helps with this. I
have felt it many times.
Maharishi Aurobindo has
given utmost importance
tointuitioninlife.Because
of this, humanity has
reached the present stage
of progress. If the modern
generation joins the yogic
routine, it is made manda-
tory in schools and colleg-
es, then many complexi-
ties related to life can be
solved very easily
.
We all know that it is
the Prana Shakti that con-
trols all the activities and
arrangements of the body
.
Accumulation of life force
and its arrangement is
possible only through
yoga. Yoga is naturally re-
lated to Pranayama. Pra-
nayama awakens our in-
ner energy and makes it
healthy, balanced and ac-
tive. It is said that yoga
controls the tendencies of
the mind. Its meaning is
that yoga controls the in-
stincts related to our mind
and makes it conducive to
a healthy life. Bhastrika,
Kapal Bhati, Tribandha,
Anulom Vilom, Bhra-
mari, etc. are such easy
yogas, which everyone
can practice with little ef-
fort. If these are done
regularly, then not only
the body but the mind also
remains healthy. For a
healthy, happy, and well-
being life, these activities
related to yoga are also
useful in the way that it
gives direction to a posi-
tive life.
The meaning of yoga is
to know the powers with-
in, harness them and to
awaken one’s infinite
powers within by realiz-
ing the inner self. Swami
Vivekananda had advised
yogis in his time that
their conduct and they
themselves should be-
come proof. What he
meant was that yoga
should be kept away from
professionalism. It should
be seen as the welfare of
humanity, not as a mira-
cle. This is the greatest
need of the hour.
Lord Shri Krishna
has said in the Bhagavad
Gita, ‘Yogah Karmasu
Kaushalam’ which means
doing any work with skill
is yoga. This is a matter of
very deep meaning. If we
understand this, then we
will be able to understand

New Delhi : The notifi-
cation of Agneepath
Scheme of Army Re-
cruitment is about to be
released and the re-
cruitment process will
start soon. In this, the
appointment will be
done in the recruitment
rally as before. After the
announcement of this
scheme, within two
days, the government
changed the rule and
increased the age limit
of appointment from 21
to 23 years. This was
done because the rein-
statement in the army
was closed for the last
two years. Because of
this, the age limit for
the recruitment of
lakhs of youth in the
army had ended and ex-
tending this by two
years will give them a
chance to be reinstated
inthearmyasAgniveer.
However, this will cre-
ate a new problem.
Increasing the age
limit will greatly in-
crease the number of
youth participating in
the recruitment rally.
That is why it is being
said that just as the cen-
tral government has in-
creased the age limit, in
the same way, it can in-
crease the number for
the first year as well.
According to the plan so
far, a total of 46 thou-
sand youth are to be re-
cruited in the three ser-
vices in the first year.
This number is also
very less as compared to
the recruitment done
every year. The last time
when the recruitment
process was carried out,
80 thousand youth were
recruited. Even before
that an average of 60 to
70 thousands youths
were being recruited.
Since the appointment
has been closed for two
years, a large number
of youth have come un-
der the age limit re-
quired for appointment.
Duetonon-appointment
for two years, close to 1.5
lakh posts have become
vacant. Therefore, if the
government has given
relaxation in the age
limit in the first year,
then the number can
also increase slightly

HIKE IN DEARNESS ALLOWANCE MAY

New Delhi: Govern-

reports. As the dear-

revised twice a year in
January and July, it is
set to be revised next

the employees may
also get the payment
of an 18-month DA
arrear and interest on

cording to the reports.
The issue of 18-month
DA arrears payment
from Jan 2020 to June
2021 may be addressed
soon and the employ-
ees of the central govt
may also receive Rs 2
lakh in pending arrears
in one go, according
to a media report. The
amount of DA arrears
is decided by the em-
ployees’ pay band and
structure. And, as the
govt as already ratified
the interest rate on em-
ployees provident fund,
the Employees’ Provi-
dent Fund Organisation

New Delhi : The Con-
gress party has re-
placed Randeep Sur-
jewala with Jairam
Ramesh as the in-
charge of the commu-
nication department.
He is in charge of me-
dia, social media and
all communication.
There was talk earlier
that Randeep Surjewa-
la is in charge of Kar-
nataka, where elec-
tions are due next year,
so the communication
department could be
taken over from him.
Now the question is,
will Jairam Ramesh re-
tain or change the old
team of Communica-
tions Department?
There is speculation
about AICC secretary
and co-in-charge of
communication de-
partment Pranav Jha,
social media in-charge
Rohan Gupta and me-
dia department’s
Vineet Punia. After
Ramesh became the
head of the communi-
cation department,
there is a general per-
ception that the num-
ber of people working
in Hindi will be less
and their importance
will also decrease.
In Randeep Surjewa-
la’s team, the number
of people who spoke,
understood and worked
in Hindi were more.
Most of the people were
from Hindi belt, but
this situation will not
remain with Ramesh.
He is from Karnataka
and has a team working
with him in English.
Secondly, they are lead-
ers living in their ‘in-
tellectual ego’, so they
do not give preference
to too many people.
Thirdly, Ramesh is not
too active on social me-
dia. By the time he was
appointed the head of
the communications
department, he had 1.5
lakh followers on Twit-
ter and he used to fol-
low only 18 people. In
contrast, Surjewala
had more than 17 lakh
followers. That’s why
many Congress leaders
are believing that
Jairam Ramesh him-
self and the entire team
will have to work hard-
er and at the same time
give preference to Eng-
lish speaking along
with Hindi speaking
individuals. This is also
necessary because al-
most the entire media
team of BJP is going to
work in Hindi only
.
Under Jairam, will Cong’ ‘connect’ improve?

NURSING
SENTIMENT
HURT
Clerical errors at times
create serious
issues. The latest
transfer list of nursing
staff is one such case.
On Thursday the
transfer list of nursing
staff across the state
not just sent hundreds
of staff in a tizzy, it hurt
the sentiment of many
as well.
It so happened that in
the order all were
addressed as grade
second nurses whereas
the chief minister has
given nurses the rank of
officer and it has been
duly notified in the
gazette .
Interestingly director
of medical department
suresh naval himself
issued the gazette
notification and this
order too was issued by
him .
This error renders the
transfer list illegal and it
can be challenged on
the above grounds . It
remains to be seen who
was responsible for this
error. —Vikas Sharma
NOT A
CUSTOMARY
BEHAVIOUR
The custom officials
at jaipur airport are
on a high. Not literally!
On Thursday night
officials got into a brawl
with three passengers
who were returning
from Bankok via Air
Asia flight FD-130.
Two men and a
woman were returning
from bankok with nine
liquor bottles. They
were asked to pay the
duty and this led to an
argument .
The officials levied
charges of
inappropriate behaviour
on the passengers and
left them only after they
paid the duty but also
got a letter of pardon
written from them.
This isn’t a one off
incident , only a
fortnight back they
held a passenger for
three hours before
letting him go.

BJP WILL HAVE TO WITHDRAW

If we had to do Jail Bharo campaign against Centre, we will do it go to jails: Gehlot
CM writes to Min Goyal over
PM Mitra Park in Jodhpur
First India Bureau
Jaipur: CM Ashok Ge-
hlot on Monday, wrote a
letter to Union Textile
Minister Piyush Goyal
urging him to approve
the proposal of Prime
Minister Mega Inte-
grated Textile Region
Apparel (PM Mitra)
Park at Kankani in
Jodhpur soon. Gehlot
wrote in the letter that
the textile industry of
Rajasthan has a rich
past. The State Govern-
ment has taken steps
from time to time to
promote this industry.
As a result the textile
industry of Raj has de-
veloped in an organised
way. The CM further
wrote that Jodhpur al-
ready has good facili-
ties to project the prod-
ucts of Rajasthan in the
international market.
As the Amritsar-Jam-
nagar NH passes
through Jodhpur, move-
ment of goods from
Kandla Mundra port
will also be possible.
The CM further wrote
that about 1,000 acres of
land has been proposed
for PM Mitra Park in
Kankani, Jodhpur. The
works of developing
electricity, water, roads
and other infrastruc-
ture facilities have al-
ready begun. The pro-
posal of PM Mitra Park
was sent by State Govt
to Ministry of Textiles,
on March 9, 2022.

Jaipur: Another major

way and it is believed
that DoP can release the
list next week. Three
IAS-RVenkateshwaran,
Rajesh Sharma and UD
Khan will retire on June
30. The chairs of Dun-
garpur and Dholpur
Collector are vacant
while 4 IAS - Rajan
Vishal, Archana Singh,
Inderjeet Singh and
Neha Giri - will be leav-
ing this month for year
long study leave. Moreo-
ver, reins of important
departments like Plan-
ning, Water Resources,
Sports, RSMM (MD)
have been given as ad-
ditional charge to offic-
ers whereas, officers
like Sreya Guha,
Naveen Jain and Bhanu
Prakash Yeturu have
minimum work load
and can be given new
responsibilities.
Withtheretirementof
RVenkaswaran,thepost
of DG, HCM-RIPA will
fall vacant. The insitute,
which has had a good
number of glory days, is
now a ‘dumping yard’ of
officers. When officers
like Vekateswaran can
be seated on the post,
then a new posting can
also be done here.
With RIICO MD Arch-
ana Singh and ED In-
derjeet Singh leaving
for foreign locations for
further studies, there
will be a vacuum and
therefore, the reponsi-
bility of these chairs
will have to be handed
to capable senior offic-
ers, who can walk shoul-
der to shoulder with
dynamic Chairman of
RIICO Kuldeep Ranka.
Three new Collec-
tors are to be appoint-
ed in Jaipur, Dungar-
pur and Dholpur and
the young IAS who
have not been given a
chance at Collectorate,
can be tested in Dhol-
pur and Dungarpur.
It is high time that
Anand Kumar has ben
handling two major de-
partments vis Revenue
and Water Resources
and since he has played
a two year long innings
in Revenue, he can be
given the full time re-
sponsibility of Water
Resources. The new
transfer list will also
have to find a capable
and appropriate officer
who can handle the af-
fairs like Naveen Jain.
First India has already
raised the issue that
there is no point of Fi-
nance Secretary Nar-
esh Thakral holding
the additional charge
of Sports and the new
list may given a
thought to this aspect
too. Keeping in mind
the rural games, a full
time Sports Secretary
may be appointed here.
Furthermore, other
issues like retirement
of Suresh Gupta in
July would make the
post of Secretary Fi-
nance go vacant, ACS
Sudhansh Pant can be
called to Delhi and
Arushi Malik leaving
for study leave will
also have to be fac-
tored in.
Sources reveal that
departments of few sen-
ior officers may also be
shuffled and therefore
the DoP, which is facing
a dearth of capable and
result oriented officers
of Principal Secretary
and Secretary level, is
faced with a massive
challenge while making
this transfer list.

On the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UNESCO, considering this great tradition of India as useful for the world, has declared World Yoga Day. This is the global acceptance of our tradition and culture OUR GREAT TRADITION OF YOGA IS CONNECTED WITH PEOPLE’S MIND INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA he word yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root ‘Yuj’. It means to join. In the scriptures related to yoga, yoga has been desig- nated as the art and sci- ence of healthy living. For the first time here, Maha- rishi Patanjali codified the Yoga Sutras by organ- izing various meditation practices. If you go to the Indian culture of the Ve- das, then you will also meet the tradition of Yoga there. Hiranyagarbha preached yoga at the be- ginning of creation. The sages like Patanjali, Jai- mini etc. later made it ac- cessible to everyone. Yoga has been accepted here from the very begin- ning as an ideal way of life with a healthy body and a healthy mind. Maharish i Arvind has described the practice of yoga as very important for the overall vision of life. I believe that yoga is not a therapy, it is the greatest means of self- development. It has al- ways been getting im- portance here in us only as a method of reali- zation with the Supreme. In such times when the mind constantly wanders in the blind race of mate- riality, yoga is very useful for mental peace and con- tentment. On the initia- tive of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, UN- ESCO, considering this great tradition of India as useful for the world, has declared World Yoga Day. This is the global accept- ance of our tradition and culture. Indian culture is associated with loftyvaluesof life. Yoga is the sound of that culture. This is the ideal way of life, in which the mind is attached to the lofty ideas of welfare not only for itself but for the whole world. It is well known that we have always be- lieved in connectin g, not breaking. Yoga is the foun- dation of this. Maharishi Arvind has explained yoga very deeply . He wrote, “Yoga does not mean to give up life, but to face the problems and challenges of life with courage, keeping faith in the divine power.” Accord- ingtoAurobindo, yogais not merely the practice of dif- ficult asanas and pranay- ama, but self- less surren- der to God and trans- forming one- self into divine form through mental education. Yoga is related to the mind with the body . If the mind is healthy, then the body automatically moves towards health. In intui- tion, a person is exposed to ignorance within himself. Yoga helps with this. I have felt it many times. Maharishi Aurobindo has given utmost importance tointuitioninlife.Because of this, humanity has reached the present stage of progress. If the modern generation joins the yogic routine, it is made manda- tory in schools and colleg- es, then many complexi- ties related to life can be solved very easily . We all know that it is the Prana Shakti that con- trols all the activities and arrangements of the body . Accumula tion of life force and its arrangem ent is possible only through yoga. Yoga is naturally re- lated to Pranayam a. Pra- nayama awakens our in- ner energy and makes it healthy, balanced and ac- tive. It is said that yoga controls the tendencies of the mind. Its meaning is that yoga controls the in- stincts related to our mind and makes it conducive to a healthy life. Bhastrika , Kapal Bhati, Tribandha, Anulom Vilom, Bhra- mari, etc. are such easy yogas, which everyone can practice with little ef- fort. If these are done regularly, then not only the body but the mind also remains healthy. For a healthy, happy, and well- being life, these activities related to yoga are also useful in the way that it gives direction to a posi- tive life. The meaning of yoga is to know the powers with- in, harness them and to awaken one’s infinite powers within by realiz- ing the inner self. Swami Vivekananda had advised yogis in his time that their conduct and they themselves should be- come proof. What he meant was that yoga should be kept away from profession alism. It should be seen as the welfare of humanity, not as a mira- cle. This is the greatest need of the hour. Lord Shri Krishna has said in the Bhagavad Gita, ‘Yogah Karmasu Kaushalam’ which means doing any work with skill is yoga. This is a matter of very deep meaning. If we understan d this, then we will be able to understan d more closely our lifestyle related to yoga contained inIndianculture.Knowing the mind and adapting life accordingly ,thatisthereal yoga. Come, on this auspi- cious day of Yoga Day , let uscarryforwardthisgreat tradition of ideal and lofty life values and spread ‘Sarve Bhavantu Sukhi- nah’ in the public mind. T portance here in us only as a method of realiza- tion with the Supreme. ‘YOGA SHOULD BE KEPT AWAY FROM PROFESSIONALISM’ PERSPECTIVE JAIPUR | TUESDAY, JUNE 21, 2022 04 www.firstindia.co.in I https://firstindia.co.in/ep apers/jaipur I twitter.com/the firstindia I facebook.com/t hefirstindia I instagram.com /thefirstindia Vol 4 Issue No. 15 RNI NO. • 4. Maharishi Arvind has described the practice of yoga as very important for the overall vision of life. It is well known that we have always be- lieved in connecting, not breaking. Accumulation of life force and its arrangement is possible only through yoga. Yoga is naturally re- lated to Pranayama. Pra- nayama awakens our in- ner energy and makes it healthy, balanced and ac- tive. It is said that yoga controls the tendencies of the mind. Its meaning is that yoga controls the in- stincts related to our mind and makes it conducive to a healthy life. Bhastrika, Kapal Bhati, Tribandha, Anulom Vilom, Bhra- mari, etc. are such easy yogas, which everyone can practice with little ef- fort. What he meant was that yoga should be kept away from professionalism. If we understand this, then we will be able to understand more closely our lifestyle related to yoga contained inIndianculture.Knowing the mind and adapting life accordingly ,thatisthereal yoga. The sages like Patanjali, Jai- mini etc. later made it ac- cessible to everyone. Yoga has been accepted here from the very begin- ning as an ideal way of life with a healthy body and a healthy mind. Maharishi Arvind has described the practice of yoga as very important for the overall vision of life. I believe that yoga is not a therapy, it is the greatest means of self- development. It has al- ways been getting im- portance here in us This is the global accept- ance of our tradition and culture. Indian culture is associated with loftyvaluesof life. Yoga is the sound of that culture. This is the ideal way of life, in which the mind is attached to the lofty ideas of welfare not only ingtoAurobindo, yogais not merely the practice of dif- ficult asanas and pranay- ama, but self- less surren- der to God and trans- forming one- self into divine form through reached the present stage of progress. If the modern generation joins the yogic routine, it is made manda- tory in schools and colleg- es, then many complexi- ties related to life can be solved very easily . We all know that it is the Prana Shakti that con- trols all the activities and arrangements of the body . What he meant was that yoga should be kept away from professionalism. It should be seen as the welfare of humanity, not as a mira- cle. This is the greatest need of the hour. T portance here in us only as a method of realiza- tion with the Supreme. ‘YOGA SHOULD BE KEPT AWAY FROM PROFESSIONALISM’ PERSPECTIVE JAIPUR | TUESDAY, JUNE 21, 2022 04 www.firstindia.co.in I https://firstindia.co.in/epapers/jaipur I twitter.com/thefirstindia I facebook.com/thefirstindia I instagram.com/thefirstindia Vol 4 Issue No. 15 RNI NO. Sharat K Verma New Delhi : The notifi- cation of Agneepath Scheme of Army Re- cruitment is about to be released and the re- cruitment process will start soon. In this, the appointment will be done in the recruitment rally as before. After the announcement of this scheme, within two days, the government changed the rule and increased the age limit of appointment from 21 to 23 years. This was done because the rein- statement in the army was closed for the last two years. Because of this, the age limit for the recruitment of lakhs of youth in the army had ended and ex- tending this by two years will give them a chance to be reinstated inthearmyasAgniveer. However, this will cre- ate a new problem. Increasing the age limit will greatly in- crease the number of youth participating in the recruitment rally. That is why it is being said that just as the cen- tral government has in- creased the age limit, in the same way, it can in- crease the number for the first year as well. According to the plan so far, a total of 46 thou- sand youth are to be re- cruited in the three ser- vices in the first year. This number is also very less as compared to the recruitment done every year. The last time when the recruitment process was carried out, 80 thousand youth were recruited. Even before that an average of 60 to 70 thousands youths were being recruited. Since the appointment has been closed for two years, a large number of youth have come un- der the age limit re- quired for appointment. Duetonon-appointment for two years, close to 1.5 lakh posts have become vacant. Therefore, if the government has given relaxation in the age limit in the first year, then the number can also increase slightly . He is in charge of me- dia, social media and all communication. There was talk earlier that Randeep Surjewa- la is in charge of Kar- nataka, where elec- tions are due next year, so the communication department could be taken over from him. Now the question is, will Jairam Ramesh re- tain or change the old team of Communica- tions Department? There is speculation about AICC secretary and co-in-charge of communication de- partment Pranav Jha, social media in-charge Rohan Gupta and me- dia department’s Vineet Punia. After Ramesh became the head of the communi- cation department, there is a general per- ception that the num- ber of people working in Hindi will be less and their importance will also decrease. In Randeep Surjewa- la’s team, the number of people who spoke, understood and worked in Hindi were more. Most of the people were from Hindi belt, but this situation will not remain with Ramesh. He is from Karnataka and has a team working with him in English. Secondly, they are lead- ers living in their ‘in- tellectual ego’, so they do not give preference to too many people. Thirdly, Ramesh is not too active on social me- dia. By the time he was appointed the head of the communications department, he had 1.5 lakh followers on Twit- ter and he used to fol- low only 18 people. In contrast, Surjewala had more than 17 lakh followers. That’s why many Congress leaders are believing that Jairam Ramesh him- self and the entire team will have to work hard- er and at the same time give preference to Eng- lish speaking along with Hindi speaking individuals. This is also necessary because al- most the entire media team of BJP is going to work in Hindi only . Under Jairam, will Cong’ ‘connect’ improve? The latest transfer list of nursing staff is one such case. On Thursday the transfer list of nursing staff across the state not just sent hundreds of staff in a tizzy, it hurt the sentiment of many as well. It so happened that in the order all were addressed as grade second nurses whereas the chief minister has given nurses the rank of officer and it has been duly notified in the gazette . Interestingly director of medical department suresh naval himself issued the gazette notification and this order too was issued by him . This error renders the transfer list illegal and it can be challenged on the above grounds . It remains to be seen who was responsible for this error. —Vikas Sharma NOT A CUSTOMARY BEHAVIOUR The custom officials at jaipur airport are on a high. Not literally! On Thursday night officials got into a brawl with three passengers who were returning from Bankok via Air Asia flight FD-130. Two men and a woman were returning from bankok with nine liquor bottles. They were asked to pay the duty and this led to an argument . The officials levied charges of inappropriate behaviour on the passengers and left them only after they paid the duty but also got a letter of pardon written from them. This isn’t a one off incident , only a fortnight back they held a passenger for three hours before letting him go. —Kashiram Choudhary Woman kills 3-month-old daughter over tiff with husband First India Bureau Dholpur: A woman was arrested on Monday for allegedly killing her three-month-old daugh- ter by throwing her on the floor over a petty dis- pute with husband in a village in Dholpur dis- trict, police said. Gehlot wrote in the letter that the textile industry of Rajasthan has a rich past. The State Govern- ment has taken steps from time to time to promote this industry. As a result the textile industry of Raj has de- veloped in an organised way. The CM further wrote that Jodhpur al- ready has good facili- ties to project the prod- ucts of Rajasthan in the international market. As the Amritsar-Jam- nagar NH passes through Jodhpur, move- ment of goods from Kandla Mundra port will also be possible. The CM further wrote that about 1,000 acres of land has been proposed for PM Mitra Park in Kankani, Jodhpur. The works of developing electricity, water, roads and other infrastruc- ture facilities have al- ready begun. The pro- posal of PM Mitra Park was sent by State Govt to Ministry of Textiles, on March 9, 2022. Aditi Nagar/ Ashvini Yadav New Delhi: These peo- ple are looting the coun- try , that’s why they stopped talking about Lokpal,” he said. Gehlot also targeted the Centre for detention of Congress leaders- workers opposing the ED questioning of Ra- hul Gandhi and police entering the Congress HQs. He also took a jibe at BJP and questioned what would happen if the police entered the Rajasthan BJP office? “We have a government in Rajasthan, if BJP people protest in Ra- jasthan, should we be- have the same way they did to us,” he said. “I had sought time on 13tomeetCBI,ED,CBDT chiefs,on15th,mybroth- er was booked and a raid was conducted on 17th. Evenduringthepolitical crisis, mybrother’splace was raided. If any mar- riage takes place at my brother’s place for 45 years, then I go to the placeasacommonwork- er. JustasnooneknowsPM Modi’sbrother, similarly no one knows my broth- er. Will he like it when there is no BJP rule and the house of Narendra Modi’s brother is raided in Gujarat?” he said. The C M claimed that the situation is extreme- ly serious. “Right now, close friends and advi- sors of PM Modi and Amit Shah are not giv- ing them the right ad- vice. They must be nerv- ous giving advice that I don’t know that the PM will get angry . A leader like Sonia Gandhi who didn’t take the post of PM was given the ED notice. There is a differ- ence of night day be- tween becoming the PM and not becoming the Prime Minister. A great leader who left the post of Prime Minister, you have sent an ED notice toher.SoniaGandhiand Rahul Gandhi are being harassed unnecessarily . We have met the Presi- dentandhavesubmitted a memorandum to the President regarding the current issues. Con- gress is fighting on the roads for its leader. No- body wants to talk about inflationand unemploy- ment in the country to- day . Are Agniveers are being made to make pe- ons in BJP offices? BJP will have to withdraw Agnipath scheme. The agency people should be ashamed. But they too are under pressure be- cause they have to do a job for the poor people,” Gehlot further said. The Chief Minister also said that workers across the country are standing with Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gan- dhi. “Just as Indira Gandhi was sent to jail in 1977 and the atmos- phere that was visible after that, a similar en- thusiasm is visible to- day . If we had to do Jail Bharo campaign against the Centre, we will do it, we all will go to jails,” he said. Rajendra Chhabra Jaipur: Another major IAStransferlistisunder way and it is believed that DoP can release the list next week. Three IAS-RVenkateshwaran, Rajesh Sharma and UD Khan will retire on June 30. The chairs of Dun- garpur and Dholpur Collector are vacant while 4 IAS - Rajan Vishal, Archana Singh, Inderjeet Singh and Neha Giri - will be leav- ing this month for year long study leave. Moreo- ver, reins of important departments like Plan- ning, Water Resources, Sports, RSMM (MD) have been given as ad- ditional charge to offic- ers whereas, officers like Sreya Guha, Naveen Jain and Bhanu Prakash Yeturu have minimum work load and can be given new responsibilities. Withtheretirementof RVenkaswaran, thepost of DG, HCM-RIPA will fall vacant. The insitute, which has had a good number of glory days, is now a ‘dumping yard’ of officers. When officers like Vekateswaran can be seated on the post, then a new posting can also be done here. With RIICO MD Arch- ana Singh and ED In- derjeet Singh leaving for foreign locations for further studies, there will be a vacuum and therefore, the reponsi- bility of these chairs will have to be handed to capable senior offic- ers, who can walk shoul- der to shoulder with dynamic Chairman of RIICO Kuldeep Ranka. Three new Collec- tors are to be appoint- ed in Jaipur, Dungar- pur and Dholpur and the young IAS who have not been given a chance at Collectorate, can be tested in Dhol- pur and Dungarpur. It is high time that Anand Kumar has ben handling two major de- partments vis Revenue and Water Resources and since he has played a two year long innings in Revenue, he can be given the full time re- sponsibility of Water Resources. The new transfer list will also have to find a capable and appropriate officer who can handle the af- fairs like Naveen Jain. First India has already raised the issue that there is no point of Fi- nance Secretary Nar- esh Thakral holding the additional charge of Sports and the new list may given a thought to this aspect too. Keeping in mind the rural games, a full time Sports Secretary may be appointed here. Furthermore, other issues like retirement of Suresh Gupta in July would make the post of Secretary Fi- nance go vacant, ACS Sudhansh Pant can be called to Delhi and Arushi Malik leaving for study leave will also have to be fac- tored in. Sources reveal that departments of few sen- ior officers may also be shuffled and therefore the DoP, which is facing a dearth of capable and result oriented officers of Principal Secretary and Secretary level, is faced with a massive challenge while making this transfer list. DoP’s biggest challenge till date: A new IAS transfer list OM BIRLA UNVEILS VARIOUS RAILWAY DEVELOPMENT WORKS IN KOTA DIVISION Bhanwar S Charan Kota: LS Speaker Om Birla on Monday, inau- gurated various devel- opmental works be- tween Kota Junction Ramganj Mandi Rail- way station. Centre wants to ruin youth’s future via Agnipath: Pilot First India Bureau New Delhi: Former Deputy CM Sachin Pi- lot fiercely surrounded the central govern- ment over the Ag- nipath scheme and Ra- hul Gandhi’s question- ing by the ED. “The central govern- ment wants to ruin the future of the youth by bringing Agnipath. They always want to keep the country on boil and want to put the country on a collision course and create an atmosphere of vio- lence,” he said during the Congress dharna at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on Monday.
