1. AD Administration can be used to generate missing Oracle Applications files such as forms, reports, messages, and JAR files. Running AD Administration is recommended when users are unable to access certain functionality after suspected file issues.
2. To add an off-cycle Oracle product released between maintenance releases, AD Splicer must be used to splice the new product into the list of existing products known to the system. This makes the product available so it can be registered as active and accessible to AD maintenance utilities.
3. Multiple APPL_TOP directories may exist on a system containing different Oracle Applications products. File generation must be repeated on each APPL_TOP to ensure all relevant files are updated.
