This music class will involve students decorating name tags to attach to their recorders, using GarageBand on iPads, and watching a short Animusic video. Specifically, students will spend 20 minutes decorating recorder name tags with markers, 20 minutes exploring GarageBand, and 5 minutes on the Animusic video. The goal is for students to learn which recorder they will use and gain more experience with GarageBand.

3. Recorder Bling
 You have three markers
 Mr. Hauer will choose students who are being the most
respectful of him to choose a name tag color
 If your favorite runs out, choose your second favorite!
 Deck it out with your name and whatever else you want
to represent YOU
 You have fifteen minutes to bling out your name tag

4. Recorder Bling
 When you finish, put your markers away, ask Mr. Hauer
for a piece of yarn, and tie it to your name tag
 Then ask him for a recorder and he will hand you one
but do NOT play it!
 Tie your name tag to the bottom of your recorder like
my example recorder
 Get a plastic baggie and place your recorder in
MOUTHPIECE first and seal it
 Place it in the gray cabinet on the 5A shelf
 You may then get an iPad and play with GarageBand

 You may play on GarageBand on the iPads
 You may NOT move chairs
 You may get your headphones from your locker
 Feel free to explore—we will use it all of fourth quarter!
