Here is another part of the
garden, the fall is in the air
you can see the vines are
dying, and the turkeys are
eating some of the water-
melons. The yellow things on
the right are squash, we had
so many these are left for
seeds. Enjoy Archie
1 Peter 3 15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts:
and be ready always to give an answer to every man
that asketh you a reason of the hope (confident
expectation) that is in you with meekness and fear:
3
Be always ready to tell anyone in any place
The Good News of Jesus Christ.
That God loved people so much, that He gave
His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins.
He suffered agony and death in our place, paid
our price for sin, and gave us eternal life.
16 Having a good conscience;
4
There is only one way to always have a good
conscience: Regular cleansing.
If we don't wash our bodies every day, we stink.
It is the same with our conscience.
1 John 1 9If we confess our sins, He is faithful and
just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from
all unrighteousness.
16 Having a good conscience;

Proverbs 28 1 The wicked flee when no man
pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they
speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be
ashamed (be put to shame) that falsely accuse your
good conversation (behavior) in Christ.
When decent people see us living right
and doing well, they will see false
accusers for what they are.
17 For it is better, if the
Will of God be so, that
ye suffer for well doing,
than for evil doing. 18 For
Christ also hath once
suffered for sins, the Just
for the unjust, that He
might bring us to God,
being put to death in the
flesh, but quickened by
the Spirit:

In their hearts Christians are to set apart Christ as
Lord. Alexander Maclaren wrote, “Only he who
can say, ‘The Lord is the Strength of my life’ can
go on to say, ‘Of whom shall I be afraid?’”
(Expositions of Holy Scriptures, 16: 42)

When Jesus is truly
Lord of my life,
I welcome His Will
in me.
Polycarp
Worldly people will speak evil of Christians,
misusing our beliefs to criticize.
9
We preach against sin because of its harm,
and they call us intolerant.
We preach repentance to attain a clear
conscience, and they call us hateful.
We teach forgiveness and cleansing, and they
accuse us of teaching guilt and despair.
17 For it is better, if the Will of God be so, that ye
suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.
10
Better to suffer for teaching Truth,
than for living a lie.
Better to suffer for going to church,
than for going to a sleazy hotel.
Better to suffer for "Intolerance"
than for murder or assault.
Romans 8 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with
our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if
children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs
with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that
we may be also glorified together.
11
18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the
Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God,
being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by
the Spirit:
When Jesus is the center of our lives,
He is all that matters to us.
12
This old body
won't matter.
Life won't be all
about me.
Tired
Hurts
Lazy
If it is God's Will that we suffer persecution,
ridicule, imprisonment, or even death
for serving Him,
13
Blessed be the Name of the Lord.
Romans 8 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this
present time are not worthy to be compared with
the glory which shall be revealed in us.

1 Peter 3i
