OUR SCHOOL


Our school is new and big. It consists of lower and higher
secondary schools. It is the only secondary school in our little town.
In the school there are students from our town Wołczyn and some
of them commute to school from villages around the town. There’re
about six hundred students and around fifty teachers in the school.
Pope John Paul II is the patron of our school.
LESSONS



Lessons start at 8:05 am and
finish at 14:25 pm. Each
lesson lasts forty five
minutes. We have short, ten
minutes breaks between
lessons and there are two
longer lunch breaks. Students
usually have thirty two
lessons a week, six lessons a
day. Some classes have
specific profiles: sports profile
and science profile. Each
class consists of 20 - 30
students. During the school
year every class takes part in
2/3 one- day -trips and 1 three
or four- day- trip in Poland or
abroad.
SCHOOL FACILITIES



At school, there are different laboratories and classrooms for every
subject: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, Computer studies,
History, Mathematics, Art, languages ( Polish, English and German).
The school has also got a big gym, library and the ITC center, assembly
hall, tradition hall, canteen, shop, cloakroom, staff room, offices. There
is monitoring in school. In the study room students can spend the time
before or after the lessons when they wait for the bus home. There is
also a lift for disabled students.
EXTRA CLASSES





There is a variety of extra
curriculum classes in the
afternoons and on
Saturdays. We can
develop our skills and
talents in many extra
classes, clubs and
courses. Students of our
school have taken part in
various European
projects and students
exchanges.

GYM


In the Gym there are our PE classes. Different school teams often
visit us and there are sports competitions.

SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST’S
OFFICE


There are two professional psychologists in our school. They help us
with more complicated matters and there are meetings for students
and their parents too. They held individual and group therapies.
SCHOOL HALL OF TRADITION


It is a place where all school trophies are kept. There you can
also find information about important events in the history of our
school. People who visit our school sign into school chronicle
which is also in this room.  
CANTEEN


Most of the students
have lunches in the
school canteen.
About one hundred
students can have
lunch at the same
time. Primary
school students
also attend our
canteen.
THE CLASSROOM
OF MIRRORS


It is a place where Art classes are held. There are also school
cabaret and theatre rehearsals.It’s got lots of mirrors all around it.
LIBRARY



The library opens before the lessons and it’s
closed late in the afternoon. Students can do
their homework there, borrow books and read
in the reading room. There are many
newspapers and magazines for teenagers too.
It is divided into two parts.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
CENTRE


In the second part of
the library you can
also use computers
with internet access
because there is ITC
center open for
students and teachers.
GEOGRAPHY CLASSROOM


There are many geographical maps and all the equipment which is
used at the Geography lessons.
SCHOOL ASSEMBLY HALL



School information meetings for students and parents are held in
this place. We also organize school ceremonies, important events,
discos, lectures, workshops, choir and music groups practices.
ELEVATOR


It is used only by disabled
students or those who have
problems with moving because
of some accidents.
PATIO


Patio is open air place in the middle of the school, surrounded
by the building of our school. It is used for those students who
want to pass their motor driving license. We also have some
class integration activities and barbecues.

Mrs Ewa Włos and
her deputy Mr
Dariusz Jaśkiewicz.
STAFF ROOM


During a breaks, teachers meet in the staff room. They have
their rest there and prepare for the lessons. Class registers are
held in this place.
SCHOOL SHOP


The school shop is small but there are many useful things there. You
can buy some fast food, sweets, drinks and stationary there.
OUTDOOR SPORTS FIELDS


Outside school there is a running track, football pitch, basketball field,
volleyball field and place for long jumps. “Orlik” is a place with a high fence
around it which has got two fields for basketball and football. We can use
“Orlik” after lessons too. There are also sports competitions in different
disciplines all the year round.
