OUR SCHOOL
        The school in Strawczyn was built in 1946 as
a wooden building opposite the church. The current
building was built in 1977 and extended and
remodelled in 2009. It is a three - story building with
some sports complex around.
THE SCHOOL IN STRAWCZYN IS A MODERN
STATE SCHOOL WHICH PROVIDES EDUCATION FOR
STUDENTS OF DIFFERENT AGE. IT’S COMPOSED OF
A PRIMARY SCHOOL (STUDENTS AGED 6-12) AND A
LOWER – SECONDARY SCHOOL.
THE TEACHING STAFF CONSISTS OF 32 TEACHERS
WHEREAS THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS AMOUNTS
APPROXIMATELY 500 STUDENTS. OUR HEADMISTRESS IS
ELŻBIETA BŁASZCZYK AND THE DEPUTY HEAD IS ANNA
BALANT.

THERE ARE 180 STUDENTS, IN THE
PRIMARY SCHOOL IN EXACTLY 8 CLASSES
ACROSS 6 GRADES. THE OBLIGATORY
SUBJECTS THAT ARE PROVIDED ACCORDING TO
THE NATIONAL CURRICULUM ARE: MATHS
POLISH, BIOLOGY, GEOGRAPHY, HISTORY, COMP
UTER STUDIES, PHYSICAL EDUCATION, ARTS
AND RELIGIOUS EDUCATION.
Moreover, students learn English (elementary
level) and German as foreign languages. They also
have swimming classes in nearby swimming pool
every second week. We have 2 computer rooms
with a an Internet connection, one gym and an
outdoor sports facility.
SWIMING POOL
The school is open from 7.30 a.m. until
4.00p.m. The classes start at 8.00 a.m. and finish at
3.00 p.m. (seven school hours per day).
Additionally, we have workshops (computer
studies, football training, art, and language
courses).
During the school year our students visit
museums, go to theatres and cinemas and take
part in school trips. They also participate in many
school internal and cross-school competitions and
contests in both school subjects and sports.
Our school
calendar features
several entertaining
events including
St.Andrew’s
Night, Christmas Eve
parties, St.Valentine’s
Day as well as carnival
parties. We also
organise school
ceremonies to
celebrate important
historical events. The
building of our school
accommodates a
youth hostel.
OUR OPPINION
       We think our school is friendly place, where
everybody can learn, find friends and be yourself.
