CHURCH SERVANTS NEEDED:
FAMILY BIBLE HOUR: We are in need of a Family Bible Hour teacher
and aide for K-1st grade and an aide for 2nd-3rd grade. The curriculum is
provided. Some lesson planning required, approximately 1-2 hours a week.
If you are interested in helping out, please contact Lynn Van Kampen at
399-8779 or email her at lvankamp@zps.org. Family Bible Hour is held on
Sunday morning from 9:30-10:30 am beginning September 18 with a
breakfast and Opening Ceremony.
PIONEER CLUBS: Pioneer Clubs which meets on Wednesday evenings
from 6:30-8:00 pm for age 4 through 5th grade is in need of the following
teachers: 2 for preschool/kindergarten, 2 females for 1-2 grade girls,
2 males for 1-2 grade boys, 2 females for 3-4 grade girls, 2 males for
3-4 grade boys, and 2 females for 5th grade girls. If you served last
year and are willing to help out again or if you have never taught but
are interested in more information, please contact Julie Hapke or

HARVEST OF GENEROSITY JUICING 101 CLASS OFFERED
Thursday, August 18th at 6:30 pm in the Youth Room at PBC
Come and join us for an introduction to Juicing! This “Harvest
Experience” will go over some of the basic information on juicing and
how your family can live a Biblical healthy lifestyle. Juicing can be a
part of this healthy lifestyle. We will have a hands on approach
great for all ages and you’ll be able to sample different juices!

August18, at 6:00 pm. Meet at the church and peddle to Captain Sundae!
LADIES DINNER & GAME NIGHT Please join other ladies and their friends
this Friday, August 19, at 5:30 p.m. for supper at the Farmhouse in Zeeland
then come back to the church for simple games and snacks. Sign up at the
Women’s Ministry Counter today.
YOUNG FAMILY’S EVENT An “adventure” for Parkside’s young families
and their children will take place this Saturday, August 20, at Sandy Pines
located midway between Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo (3681 28th Street in
Dorr.) Mini-golf, a water park and splash pad, ice cream, beach & family fun,
and human fooseball are available. Bring your own picnic lunch, a side dish
to pass for dinner and $20 per family to cover costs. The church van will be
leaving at 9:45 am and returning at 8:00 p.m. (Or drive on your own and
arrive at Sandy Pines at 11 a.m.) We will have youth available to help with
children if needed. RSVP to Sue Spykerman or the church office today.

PARKSIDE BOOK CLUB Parkside’s Book Club, led by Tim Derks, is being
held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30 pm in the Board Room. We are
reviewing the book “Where Is God When It Hurts?” by Philip Yancey. Please
contact the church office if you would like to purchase a book for $6. Even if
you only have time to read a few paragraphs, you are welcome to attend.
The reading assignment for this week is Chapters 9-12 - How People
Respond to Suffering. For those who can read the entire section each week,
simply high-light the sentences that you find meaningful, and we will use
those quotes for the discussion. Newcomers are welcome to join at any time!
COOKOUT AT THE SPYKERMANS All are invited to Pastor Gary & Sue’s
home (3916 Tall Grass East Court in Holland) next Thursday, August 25,
from 6-8 pm for the last summer BBQ at their home. Bring a dish to pass and
a lawn chair. Meat and drinks will be provided. Lawn games and a hot tub
are available plus a fire pit for s’mores! No need to RSVP - just show up for
a fun evening with your church friends.
