a dr. appointment to address a torn ligament in her leg;
* for Javan VanderPlow who will be having a sedated
test this Tuesday to see if he needs surgery on his
enlarged kidney - also pray for calmness for Brenda;
* for Sally Taylor’s niece, Becky Garroch, who is
pregnant and had surgery last Thursday for cervical
cancer. Pray also for the baby’s safety;
* for good biopsy results for Jane Tiffany’s sister,
Yttje from the Netherlands, who had skin removed
from her scalp and her skull scraped last week;
* for John & Trudy Feyereisen as they pursue a
second opinion on pathology reports, a follow-up MRI,
and approval to receive hyperbaric oxygen therapy;
* for Zach Caruth to find an answer and a treatment plan for
the seizures that he experiences;
* for Tobin Crook to be able to enjoy the rest of the
summer without pain and sickness as he continues
his treatments;

Join us as we have a blast serving the community! Some things you may
experience are: games, gardening, devotion, food, water balloons, volunteering and

July 30-Aug. 6 - All Youth - Pennsylvania Road Trip - Joint venture with
Altoona Bible Church in PA. The cost is only $45 for the week. Bring money
for souvenirs & snacks. We will be meeting at PBC at 8 am on 7/30 and
will return around 10 pm on 8/6. Questions...talk to Ty or Courtney Cook.

HYMN SING Join us tonight from 6-7 pm through July 31 for a great time of
fellowship and sharing around the Lord Jesus Christ through the avenue of

PARKSIDE PEDDLERS Join Parkside’s Bicycle Club this Thursday, July 21,
at 6:30 pm. (Note the time change from previous outings.) Get some
exercise while enjoying the company of your Parkside friends! The group will
be meeting at Hemlock Crossing Park, 8115 West Olive Road in West Olive.
144th North will turn into West Olive Road...just south of Croswell.
WOMEN’S MINISTRY MEETING There will be a meeting this Thursday,
July 21, at 6:30 pm at the church for all women’s ministry directors and their
helpers. We will be discussing the coming year and all our ministry
opportunities. Please plan to attend and bring your ideas for women’s

FAMILY FUN & FELLOWSHIP ON FRIDAY’S AT THE FURBUSH’S All
youth group aged families and youth sponsors are invited to enjoy a great
time of fellowship in and around the pool at Daniel, Linda & Jessica’s house -
4781 Crestwood Avenue in Holland on Friday evenings throughout the
summer. Come any time after 5:30 pm. More information is available at the
Student Ministries Counter.
COOKOUT AT THE SPYKERMANS All are invited to Pastor Gary & Sue’s
home (3916 Tall Grass East Court in Holland) on Thursday, July 28, from
6-8 pm. Bring a dish to pass and a lawn chair. Meat and drinks will be
provided. Lawn games and a hot tub are available plus a fire pit for s’mores!

NEW PARKSIDE BOOK CLUB
Starting on Wednesday, July 27 from 7-8 p.m., we will be holding a Book Club in
the Board Room led by Tim Derks. We’ll be reviewing the book “Where Is God
When It Hurts?” by Philip Yancey. Please contact the church office if you
would like to purchase a book for $6. Even if you only have time to read a few
paragraphs, you are welcome to attend. For those who can read the entire section
each week, simply highlight the sentences that you find meaningful, and we will
use those quotes for the discussion. The assignment for the first meeting is
Chapters 1-4 and the topic is “Why is there such a thing as pain?” At this point,
additional meetings are scheduled for 8/17, 8/24, 8/31 and 9/7.
