(nothing scary) and gather up some treats plus there will be a fun devo and activities!

11/4-11/6 All Youth Retreat at Avalanche Bay! Cost is $60 which includes the
waterpark, lodging, meals during the stay and transportation. Pick up a registration

WOMEN’S BOARD OUTREACH! Cleaning out your cold
weather clothes? Time to get the kids some new things?
If you have gently used or new hats, mittens, scarves, and
coats, Parkside’s women’s board will be collecting these
items until October 30 and donating them to area schools,
Women in Transition and other local charities. Drop them off at the
table in the Fellowship Hall near the Women’s Ministry Counter.
Our sanctuary is looped with a t-coil for hearing aids.
Thank you for the meals, cards and prayers during and after my hip replace-
ment surgery. Your kindness was so appreciated. Things are going well now!

CHILDREN’S CHOIR ON WEDNESDAY EVENINGS Children from 1st - 5th grade are
encouraged to join Parkside’s Children’s Choir “Grace Notes” being held every Wednesday
evening from 5:15-6:00 p.m. The choir is under the direction of Pastor Gary & Sue Spykerman.
WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY There will be no Bible Study this Thursday due to our Women’s LIFT
event but plan to join us the following Thursday from 6:30-8:00 pm for a verse-by-verse study of
the book of Philippians. For more information, please see either Cheryl Tooke or Susan
Spykerman.
WOMEN’S LIFT EVENT - FALL DÉCOR THIS THURSDAY Please join your lady friends
for a time of fellowship and fall crafting this Thursday from 6:30-8:00 pm in the Youth Room at
church. You will be making simple yet elegant glass luminaries. There will be homemade
snacks with a taste of fall. Sign up at the Women’s Ministry Counter today and invite your friends.
LADIES DINNER & GAME NIGHT Plan to attend Ladies Dinner & Game Night with your lady
friends this Friday at 5:30 p.m. for supper at James Street Inn in Holland then come back to the
church for simple games and snacks. Sign up at the Women’s Ministry Counter today.
INFANT/CHILD DEDICATION If you have an infant or child that you would like to dedicate
to the Lord, please plan to participate on Sunday, November 6, during the morning service.
Forms to complete are on the Children’s Ministry Counter. Please turn them in to the church
office by October 30.
TRUNK OR TREAT The congregation is invited to participate in Trunk or Treat on Wednesday,
October 26, starting at 6:30 p.m. at Parkside. Bring your candy/goodies and pass them out to
all children in our congregation. Children: be sure to plan on attending and dress up in a
costume if you want (nothing scary.) Coffee, lemonade and donut holes will be served.

“GETTING TO KNOW YOU” CLASSES START THIS WEDNESDAY
If you are new to Parkside Bible Church and would like to know more about the church
family, join us for four weeks as we go through the basic foundational elements of our
philosophy, our doctrine and other important issues. These four one-hour classes are also
for those who want to become members of the church; however, taking the classes does
not mean you have to become a member. We’ll be meeting on Wednesday evenings in
the conference room from 7:00-8:00 p.m. from October 19 - November 9. Please sign up

SUNDAY EVENING SERVICE - CONNECT - QUESTIONS
