as she awaits word from her doctor for a date for
extensive back surgery to be done at Mercy Hospital
in Muskegon;
t for good results from an MRI that John Feyereisen
had on 10/18 so that he can be totally weaned off the
steroids that are causing some adverse effects;
t for peace for Melva Russcher as she awaits word
on a pathology report on a suspicious large spot that
was removed from her head last week;
t for Fay Griffin who is once again having severe leg
and hip pain and that doctors will be able to correctly
diagnose the problem;
t for encouragement for Tobin Crook and Zach
Caruth as they continue with medical treatments;
t for our homebound including Ray Reidsma, Mary

at 6:00 pm SHARP and will return to the church at 8:00.
WEDNESDAY: Jr. High Youth Group - Trunk or Treat! Dress up in a costume if
you want (nothing scary) and gather up some treats plus there will be a fun
devo and activities! Invite your friends!
11/4-11/6 All Youth Retreat at Avalanche Bay! Cost is $60 which includes the
waterpark, lodging, meals during the stay and transportation. Pick up a
registration form at the Youth Counter and turn it in to Tyler or Courtney.

CHILDREN’S CHOIR ON WEDNESDAY EVENINGS Children from 1st - 5th grade are
encouraged to join Parkside’s Children’s Choir “Grace Notes” being held every Wednesday
evening from 5:15-6:00 p.m. The choir is under the direction of Pastor Gary & Sue Spykerman.
TRUNK OR TREAT The congregation is invited to participate in Trunk or Treat this Wednesday,
October 26, starting at 6:30 p.m. at Parkside. Bring your candy/goodies and pass them out to
all children in our congregation. Children: be sure to plan on attending and dress up in a
costume if you want (nothing scary.) Coffee, lemonade and donut holes will be served.
WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY Join us this Thursday from 6:30-8:00 pm for a verse-by-verse study
of the book of Philippians. For more information, please see either Cheryl Tooke or Susan
Spykerman.
WOMEN’S BOARD OUTREACH! Cleaning out your cold weather clothes? Time to get the kids
some new things? If you have gently used or new hats, mittens, scarves, and coats, Parkside’s
women’s board will be collecting these items until October 30 and donating them to area schools,
Women in Transition and other local charities. Drop them off at the table in the Fellowship Hall
near the Women’s Ministry Counter.
NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Craig Apel will be filling the pulpit next Sunday as Pastor Gary and Sue
enjoy a 3-day vacation break next weekend.
INFANT/CHILD DEDICATION If you have an infant or child that you would like to dedicate
to the Lord, please plan to participate on Sunday, November 6, during the morning service.
Application forms are on the Children’s Ministry Counter. Please turn them in to the church
office by next Sunday.
OFFERING ENVELOPES If you currently have offering envelopes but do not use them as you
give to the church via electronic payment, please let Judy know so we can re-assign your
envelope number to someone else and give you a new offering number (without envelopes.)

“GETTING TO KNOW YOU” CLASSES ON WEDNESDAY
It’s not too late—You can still show up on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:00 p.m.
to take our “Getting To Know You Classes.” If you are new to Parkside Bible Church and
would like to know more about the church family, join us for the remaining 3 Wednesdays as
we go through the basic foundational elements of our philosophy, our doctrine and other
important issues. These classes are also for those who want to become members of the
church; however, taking the classes does not mean you have to become a member. We’ll
be meeting in the conference room through November 9. Please call the church office
at 399-4410 to register or for more information.
SUNDAY EVENING SERVICE - CONNECT - IBAM
Join us tonight from 6:00-7:15 p.m. as Greg Heath from IBAM (International Business as
Mission) will be presenting a new and unique missions ministry. IBAM is specifically
targeting Muslims with the salvation message in several regions. The presentation is for
the whole congregation but anyone working with or interested in missions is strongly
encouraged to attend. Plan to be with us tonight for a very informative evening around
God’s Word in Room C1.

1. Am I in the faith? -

am convinced that He (Jesus Christ) is able to
guard my soul because He died in my place, was
buried and rose again...for me.” (II Tim. 1:12)
2. Can He have this area of my life?
