The aim of this article is propose a method to improve the direct torque control and design a Fuzzy Logic based Controller which can take necessary control action to provide the desired torque and flux of an asynchronous machine. It’s widely used in the industrial application areas due to several features such as fast torque response and less dependence on the rotor parameters. The major problem that is usually associated with DTC control is the high torque ripple as it is not directly controlled. The high torque ripple causes vibrations to the motor which may lead to component lose, bearing failure or resonance. The fuzzy logic controller is applied to reduce electromagnetic torque ripple. In this proposed technique, the two hysteresis controllers are replaced by fuzzy logic controllers and a methodology for implementation of a rule based fuzzy logic controller are presented. The simulation by Matlab/Simulink was built which includes induction motor d-q model, inverter model, fuzzy logic switching table and the stator flux and torque estimator. The validity of the proposed method is confirmed by the simulative results of the whole drive system and results are compared with conventional DTC method.

With respect to ability of fractional order systems in complicated systems identification as a first order fractional system with time delay, usage of fractional order PID has a proper result. From one side flexibility of fractional calculus than integer order has been topics of interest to the researchers. From another side, PMSM motors which are one the AC motor types, has been allocated largely accounted position in industry and used in variety applications. Therefore in this paper torque direct control of PMSM motors with FOPID based on model is proposed. Also fuzzy neural controllers are widely considered. Reason of this is success of fuzzy neural controller in control and identification of uncertain and complicated systems. The proposed method in this paper is combination of FOPID controller with fuzzy neural supervision system which with coefficients setting of this controller, control operation of PMSM will improve. Results of proposed method show the ability of proposed technique in reference signal tracking, elimination of disturbances effects and functional robustness in presence of noise and uncertainty. The results show the error averagely in three condition, nominal form, step disturbance and noise and uncertainly will decrease 11.66% in proposed method (FNFOPID) with Integral Square Error criterion and 7.69% with Integral Absolute Error criterion in comparison to FOPID.

Direct Torque Control of Induction Motor has gained popularity in industrial applications mainly due to its simple control structure from its first introduction in 1986. Here the direct torque control (DTC) of induction motor with zone shifting space vector modulation (SVM) has been done. It uses a simple phase current re-construction algorithm for three phase induction motor (IM). The phase current re-construction algorithm is done by using information from the current that is from the phases between the inverter and the induction motor. The proposed algorithm is robust and very simple. It uses the AC current to get the stator current for estimating the motor flux and the electromagnetic torque. By evaluating through the torque value and the current the controlling of induction motor is done. The simulation results are also given which supports the direct torque control strategy of the induction motor (IM).

FLC-Based DTC Scheme for a New Approach of Two-Leg VSI Fed Induction MotorIJERA Editor
A new Direct Torque Control (DTC) strategy for Induction Motor (IM) drive fed by a two leg three phase
inverter (i.e., Four switches are used in VSI) was proposed in this paper. The proposed methodology is based on
the emulation of operation of the conventional Six-switch three phase inverter. The combination of four
unbalanced voltage vectors is generated by the two-leg three phase inverter, approaching to the synthesis of the
six balanced voltage vectors of the conventional DTC. This approach has been implemented in the design of the
vector selection table of the proposed DTC strategy. Further, Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) is proposed in the
speed controller for the improvement of torque ripples. Convention DTC with Six Switch three phase VSI, twoleg
three phase VSI with PI and Fuzzy Controller are implemented using MATLAB/SIMULINK. Simulation
results have shown that the proposed DTC strategy, two-leg inverter fed IM drive revealed an improved
performance.

The paper proposes Direct Torque Control (DTC) of a five-phase induction motor drive with reduced torque ripple. The method presented here is the DTC Backstepping based on the classic DTC working with a constant switching frequency of the inverter. Another remarkable aspect is the complexity of the method proposed, both in the control unit of the inverter and in the number of correctors necessary for the control of the torque. The selection table and hysteresis have been eliminated. This method significantly improves the torque and flux oscillations and improves the dynamics of the drive by making it less sensitive to load torque disturbances. The proposed method is developed and designed using Matlab/SIMULINK to show the eectiveness and performances of the DTC-Backstepping.

The induction motors have wide range of applications for due to its well-known advantages like brushless
structures, low costs and robust performances. Over the past years, many kind of control methods are
proposed for the induction motors and direct torque control has gained huge importance inside of them due
to fast dynamic torque responses and simple control structures. However, the direct torque control method
has still some handicaps against the other control methods and most of the important of these handicaps is
high torque ripple. This paper suggests a new approach, Fuzzy logic based space vector modulation, on
the direct torque controlled induction motors and aim of the approach is to overcome high torque ripple
disadvantages of conventional direct torque control. In order to test and compare the proposed direct
torque control method with conventional direct torque control method simulations, in Matlab/Simulink,
have been carried out in different working conditions. The simulation results showed that a significant
improvement in the dynamic torque and speed responses when compared to the conventional direct torque
control method.
Direct Torque Control (DTC) is widely applied for ac motor drives as it offers high performance torque control with a simple control strategy. However, conventional DTC poses some disadvantages especially in term of variable switching frequency and large torque ripple due to the utilization of torque hysteresis controller. Other than that, performance of conventional DTC fed by two-level inverter is also restricted by the limited numbers of voltage vectors which lead to inappropriate selection of voltage vectors for different speed operations. This research aims to propose a Constant Switching Frequency (CSF) torque controller for DTC of induction motor (IM) fed by three-level Neutral-Point Clamped (NPC) inverter. The proposed torque controller utilizes PI controller which apply different gain for different speed operation. Besides, the utilization of NPC inverter provides greater number of voltage vectors which allow appropriate selection of voltage vectors for different operating condition. Using the proposed method, the improvement of DTC drives in term of producing a constant switching operation and minimizing torque ripple are achieved and validated via experimental results.

The Direct Torque Control (DTC) is well known as an effective control technique for high
performance drives in a wide variety of industrial applications and conventional DTC technique
uses two constant reference value: torque and stator flux. In this paper, fuzzy logic based stator
flux optimization technique for DTC drives that has been proposed. The proposed fuzzy logic
based stator flux optimizer self-regulates the stator flux reference using induction motor load situation without need of any motor parameters. Simulation studies have been carried out with Matlab/Simulink to compare the proposed system behaviors at vary load conditions. Simulation results show that the performance of the proposed DTC technique has been improved and especially at low-load conditions torque ripple are greatly reduced with respect to the conventional DTC
Embedded intelligent adaptive PI controller for an electromechanical systemISA Interchange
In this study, an intelligent adaptive controller approach using the interval type-2 fuzzy neural network (IT2FNN) is presented. The proposed controller consists of a lower level proportional - integral (PI) controller, which is the main controller and an upper level IT2FNN which tuning on-line the parameters of a PI controller. The proposed adaptive PI controller based on IT2FNN (API-IT2FNN) is implemented practically using the Arduino DUE kit for controlling the speed of a nonlinear DC motor-generator system. The parameters of the IT2FNN are tuned on-line using back-propagation algorithm. The Lyapunov theorem is used to derive the stability and convergence of the IT2FNN. The obtained experimental results, which are compared with other controllers, demonstrate that the proposed API-IT2FNN is able to improve the system response over a wide range of system uncertainties.

torque response. Induction motors (IM) are simple in construction and are less sensitive to the motor parameters compared to
other vector control methods. The conventional DTC is based on flux and torque hysteresis controllers. Induction motor is fed
from a Four Switch Inverter generating the voltage vectors of the Six Switch Inverter by reconfiguration. Applying the most
optimized voltage vector that produce fastest dynamic torque response during transient states. Fuzzy logic concept is a most
efficient artificial integilence method which has high application in electric motor drives. A method to achieve fastest dynamic
performance by modifying the two leg inverter fed DTC of induction motor based on Fuzzy Logic Concept is used here. This paper
presents a rule-based fuzzy logic controller scheme designed and applied for the speed control of an induction motor fed from a
four switch three phase inverter emulating the six switch three phase inverter. Due to the usage of the Fuzzy logic concept, the
reliability, efficiency and performance of ac drive increases. Initial torque peak and torque ripple are minimized in the four switch
three phase inverter based DTC using Fuzzy Logic.

The dynamic performance of an asynchronous machine when operated with cascaded Voltage Source Inverter using Space Vector Modulation (SVM) technique is presented in this paper. A classical model of Induction Motor Drive based on Direct Torque Control (DTC) method is considered which displays
appreciable run-time operation with very simple hysteresis control scheme. Direct control of the torque and flux variables is achieved by choosing suitable inverter voltage space vector from a lookup table. Under varying torque conditions the performance of the drive system is verified using MATLAB/Simulink software tool. The ripple content in the torque parameter is significant when traditional PI controller and Fuzzy approach are configured in the proposed system. Finally, by replacing the PI-Fuzzy controller with Hybrid Controller the torque ripple minimization can be achieved during no-load and loaded conditions.

This article examines a solution to the major problems of induction machine control in order to achieve superior dynamic performance. Conventional direct torque control and indirect control with flux orientation have some drawbacks, such as current harmonics, torque ripples, flux ripples, and rise time. In this article, we propose a comparative analysis between previous approaches and the one using fuzzy logic. Results from the simulation show that the direct torque control method using fuzzy logic is more effective in providing a precise and fast response without overshooting, and it eliminates torque and flux fluctuations at low switching frequencies. The demonstrated improvements in dynamic performance contribute to increased operational efficiency and reliability in industrial applications.

Direct Torque Control (DTC) is widely applied for ac motor drives as it offers high performance torque control with a simple control strategy. However, conventional DTC poses some disadvantages especially in term of variable switching frequency and large torque ripple due to the utilization of torque hysteresis controller. Other than that, performance of conventional DTC fed by two-level inverter is also restricted by the limited numbers of voltage vectors which lead to inappropriate selection of voltage vectors for different speed operations. This research aims to propose a Constant Switching Frequency (CSF) torque controller for DTC of induction motor (IM) fed by three-level Neutral-Point Clamped (NPC) inverter. The proposed torque controller utilizes PI controller which apply different gain for different speed operation. Besides, the utilization of NPC inverter provides greater number of voltage vectors which allow appropriate selection of voltage vectors for different operating condition. Using the proposed method, the improvement of DTC drives in term of producing a constant switching operation and minimizing torque ripple are achieved and validated via experimental results.
STATOR FLUX OPTIMIZATION ON DIRECT TORQUE CONTROL WITH FUZZY LOGIC cscpconf
The Direct Torque Control (DTC) is well known as an effective control technique for high
performance drives in a wide variety of industrial applications and conventional DTC technique
uses two constant reference value: torque and stator flux. In this paper, fuzzy logic based stator
flux optimization technique for DTC drives that has been proposed. The proposed fuzzy logic
based stator flux optimizer self-regulates the stator flux reference using induction motor load situation without need of any motor parameters. Simulation studies have been carried out with Matlab/Simulink to compare the proposed system behaviors at vary load conditions. Simulation results show that the performance of the proposed DTC technique has been improved and especially at low-load conditions torque ripple are greatly reduced with respect to the conventional DTC
Embedded intelligent adaptive PI controller for an electromechanical systemISA Interchange
In this study, an intelligent adaptive controller approach using the interval type-2 fuzzy neural network (IT2FNN) is presented. The proposed controller consists of a lower level proportional - integral (PI) controller, which is the main controller and an upper level IT2FNN which tuning on-line the parameters of a PI controller. The proposed adaptive PI controller based on IT2FNN (API-IT2FNN) is implemented practically using the Arduino DUE kit for controlling the speed of a nonlinear DC motor-generator system. The parameters of the IT2FNN are tuned on-line using back-propagation algorithm. The Lyapunov theorem is used to derive the stability and convergence of the IT2FNN. The obtained experimental results, which are compared with other controllers, demonstrate that the proposed API-IT2FNN is able to improve the system response over a wide range of system uncertainties.

from a Four Switch Inverter generating the voltage vectors of the Six Switch Inverter by reconfiguration. Applying the most
optimized voltage vector that produce fastest dynamic torque response during transient states. Fuzzy logic concept is a most
efficient artificial integilence method which has high application in electric motor drives. A method to achieve fastest dynamic
performance by modifying the two leg inverter fed DTC of induction motor based on Fuzzy Logic Concept is used here. This paper
presents a rule-based fuzzy logic controller scheme designed and applied for the speed control of an induction motor fed from a
four switch three phase inverter emulating the six switch three phase inverter. Due to the usage of the Fuzzy logic concept, the
reliability, efficiency and performance of ac drive increases. Initial torque peak and torque ripple are minimized in the four switch
three phase inverter based DTC using Fuzzy Logic.

The dynamic performance of an asynchronous machine when operated with cascaded Voltage Source Inverter using Space Vector Modulation (SVM) technique is presented in this paper. A classical model of Induction Motor Drive based on Direct Torque Control (DTC) method is considered which displays
appreciable run-time operation with very simple hysteresis control scheme. Direct control of the torque and flux variables is achieved by choosing suitable inverter voltage space vector from a lookup table. Under varying torque conditions the performance of the drive system is verified using MATLAB/Simulink software tool. The ripple content in the torque parameter is significant when traditional PI controller and Fuzzy approach are configured in the proposed system. Finally, by replacing the PI-Fuzzy controller with Hybrid Controller the torque ripple minimization can be achieved during no-load and loaded conditions.

This article examines a solution to the major problems of induction machine control in order to achieve superior dynamic performance. Conventional direct torque control and indirect control with flux orientation have some drawbacks, such as current harmonics, torque ripples, flux ripples, and rise time. In this article, we propose a comparative analysis between previous approaches and the one using fuzzy logic. Results from the simulation show that the direct torque control method using fuzzy logic is more effective in providing a precise and fast response without overshooting, and it eliminates torque and flux fluctuations at low switching frequencies. The demonstrated improvements in dynamic performance contribute to increased operational efficiency and reliability in industrial applications.

The proposed scheme having the advantages of low torque ripples as well as constant switching frequency.
Simulation results are given to prove the ability of the proposed method obtaining good speed control bandwidth while overcoming classic DTC and DTC-SVM drawbacks.
Review of the DTC Controller and Estimation of Stator Resistance in IM DrivesIAES-IJPEDS
In recent years an advanced control method called direct torque control
(DTC) has gained importance due to its capability to produce fast torque
control of induction motor. Although in these systems such variables as
torque, flux modulus and flux sector are required, resulting DTC structure is
particularly simplistic. Conventional DTC does not require any mechanical
sensor or current regulator and coordinate transformation is not present, thus
reducing the complexity. Fast and good dynamic performances and
robustness has made DTC popular and is now used widely in all industrial
applications. Despite these advantages it has some disadvantages such as
high torque ripple and slow transient response to step changes during start
up. Torque ripple in DTC is because of hysteresis controller for stator flux
linkage and torque. The ripples can be reduced if the errors of the torque and
the flux linkage and the angular region of the flux linkage are subdivided into
several smaller subsections. Since the errors are divided into smaller sections
different voltage vector is selected for small difference in error, thus a more
accurate voltage vector is selected and hence the torque and flux linkage
errors are reduced. The stator resistance changes due to change in
temperature during the operation of machine. At high speeds, the stator
resistance drop is small and can be neglected. At low speeds, this drop
becomes dominant. Any change in stator resistance gives wrong estimation
of stator flux and consequently of the torque and flux. Therefore, it is
necessary to estimate the stator resistance correctly. This paper aims to
review some of the control techniques of DTC drives and stator resistance
estimation methods.
The main objective of the present work is to describe the sensorless control of interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) for embeded systems in traction applications using the Model Reference Adaptive System (MRAS) method for speed estimation. The algorithm of this method has been adapted with the mathematical model of the motorized wheels electric vehicle. The command used is the DTC. Sensorless DTC of IPMS in-wheel motor based on MRAS for electric vehicle is simulated by Matlab/Simulink. The simulation results show the effectiveness of this proposed sensorless DTC control used for embedded system applications.
Enhanced Torque Control and Reduced Switching Frequency in Direct Torque Cont...IJPEDS-IAES
Direct Torque Control (DTC) of induction machine has received wide
acceptance in many adjustable speed drive applications due to its simplicity
and high performance torque control. However, the DTC using a common
two-level inverter poses two major problems such as higher switching
frequency (or power loss) and larger torque ripple. These problems are due to
inappropriate voltage vectors which are selected among a limited number of
voltage vectors available in two-level inverter. The proposed research aims to
formulate an optimal switching strategy using Dual-Inverter Supplied Drive
for high performances of DTC. By using dual-inverter supplied, it provides
greater number of voltage vectors which can offer more options to select the
most appropriate voltage vectors. The most appropriate voltage vectors
should able to produce minimum torque slope but sufficient to satisfy torque
demands. The identification is accomplished by using an equation of rate of
change of torque which is derived from the induction machine equations. The
proposed strategy also introduces a block of modification of torque error
status which is responsible to modify the status such that it can determine the
most optimal voltage vectors from a look-up table, according to motor
operating conditions. The improvements obtained are as follows; 1)
minimization of switching frequency (reduce power loss), and 2) reduction of
torque ripple. Some improvements obtained in the proposed strategy were
verified via experimentations.
A Novel Direct Torque Control for Induction Machine Drive System with Low Tor...IAES-IJPEDS
The conventional Direct Torque Control (DTC) is known to produce a quick and robust response in AC drives. However, during steady state, stator flux and electromagnetic torque which results in incorrect speed estimations and acoustical noise. A modified Direct Torque Control (DTC) by using Space Vector Modulation (DTC-SVM) for induction machine is proposed in this paper. Using this control strategy, the ripples introduced in torque and flux are reduced. This paper presents a novel approach to design and implementation of a high perfromane torque control (DTC-SVM) of induction machine using Field Programmable gate array (FPGA). The performance of the proposed control scheme is evaluated through digital simulation using Matlab\Simulink and Xilinx System Generator. The simulation results are used to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.
Improved Torque Control Performance in Direct Torque Control using Optimal Sw...IJPEDS-IAES
This paper presents the significant improvement of Direct Torque Control (DTC) of 3-phases induction machine using a Cascaded H- Bidge Multilevel Inverter (CHMI). The largest torque ripple and variable switching frequency are known as the major problem founded in DTC of induction motor. As a result, it can diminish the performance induction motor control. Therefore, the conventional 2- level inverter has been replaced with CHMI the in order to increase the performance of the motor either in dynamic or steady-state condition. By using the multilevel inverter, it can produce a more selection of the voltage vectors. Besides that, it can minimize the torque ripple output as well as increase the efficiency by reducing the switching frequency of the inverter. The simulation model of the proposed method has been developed and tested by using Matlab software. Its improvements were also verified via experimental results.
FPGA-Based Implementation Direct Torque Control of Induction MotorIJPEDS-IAES
This paper proposes a digital implementation of the direct torque control (DTC) of an Induction Motor (IM) with an observation strategy on the Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). The hardware solution based on the FPGA is caracterised by fast processing speed due to the parallel processing. In this study the FPGA is used to overcome the limitation of the software solutions (Digital Signal Processor (DSP), Microcontroller...). Also, the DTC of IM has many drawbacks such as for example; The open loop pure integration has from the problems of integration especially at the low speed and the variation of the stator resistance due to the temperature. To tackle these problems we use the Sliding Mode Observer (SMO). This observer is used estimate the stator flux, the stator current and the stator resistance. The hardware implementation method is based on Xilinx System Generator (XSG) which a modeling tool developed by Xilinx for the design of implemented systems on FPGA; from the design of the DTC with SMO from XSG we can automatically generate the VHDL code. The model of the DTC with SMO has been designed and simulated using XSG blocks, synthesized with Xilinx ISE 12.4 tool and implemented on Xilinx Virtex-V FPGA.
Improvise 3-Level DTC of Induction Machine using Constant Switching Frequency...IJPEDS-IAES
This paper presents the advantage of using optimal PI parameter tuning strategy of constant switching method in the three phase Direct torque control (DTC) scheme. The DTC system is known to offer fast decoupled control of torque and flux via a simple control structure. Nevertheless, DTC system has two major drawbacks, which are the variable inverter switching frequency and high torque output ripple. The major factorthat contributes to these problems the usage of hysteresis based comparators to control the output torque. The implementation of PI based constant switching method in DTC able to solve these problems while retaining the simple control structure of conventional DTC. The combination usage of 3-level CHMI in this system can further minimize the output torque ripple by providing greater number of vectors. This paper presents detail explanation and calculationof optimal PI parameter tuning strategyconsecutively to enhance the performance of 3-level DTC system. In order to validate the feasibility, the proposed method compared with convention DTC system via simulation and experiment results.

Direct torque control (DTC) is preferably control method on high performance control of induction motors due to its dvantages such as fast dynamic response, simple and robust control structure. In the study, by taking a different perspective to ANN and DTC integration, two different ANN models have been designed, trained and implemented. A Novel Rotor Resistance Estimation Technique for Vector Controlled Induction...IAES-IJPEDS
Induction motor with indirect field oriented control is well suited for high
performance applications due to its excellent dynamic behavior. However it
is sensitive to variations in rotor time constant, especially variation in rotor
resistance. In this study a scheme based on the Rotor flux Model Reference
Adaptive Controller is used for on line identification of the rotor resistance
and thus improving the steady state performance of the drive. The overriding
feature of this estimation technique is the accurate identification of rotor
resistance during transient and steady state conditions for drive operation at
full load and at zero speed condition. Moroever, the effectiveness of the TS
fuzzy controller utilizing rotor flux for online estimation of rotor resistance
for four quadrant operation of motor drive is investigated and compared with
the conventional PI and Mamdani fuzzy controller.Simulation results in
MATLAB/Simulink environment have been presented to confirm the
effectiviness of the proposed technique.

Then, the keypad is provided for an authorized person for the provision of password for door unlocking, if multiple wrong password attempts were made to unlock, a message of burglary attempt would be sent to the house owner for prompt action. The main benefit of this system is the uniqueness of the incorporation of the password and messaging systems which denies access to any unauthorized personality and owner's awareness method.

Augmented reality technology reinforces remote collaboration, allowing doctors to diagnose patients from a different locality. Additionally, we believe that a much more pronounced effect can be achieved by bringing together the cutting edge technology of AR and the lifesaving field of Medical sciences. AR is a mechanism that could be applied in the learning process too. Similarly, virtual reality could be used in the field where more of practical experience is needed such as driving, sports, neonatal care training.
Image fusion is a sub field of image processing in which more than one images are fused to create an image where all the objects are in focus. The process of image fusion is performed for multi-sensor and multi-focus images of the same scene. Multi-sensor images of the same scene are captured by different sensors whereas multi-focus images are captured by the same sensor. In multi-focus images, the objects in the scene which are closer to the camera are in focus and the farther objects get blurred. Contrary to it, when the farther objects are focused then closer objects get blurred in the image. To achieve an image where all the objects are in focus, the process of images fusion is performed either in spatial domain or in transformed domain. In recent times, the applications of image processing have grown immensely. Usually due to limited depth of field of optical lenses especially with greater focal length, it becomes impossible to obtain an image where all the objects are in focus. Thus, it plays an important role to perform other tasks of image processing such as image segmentation, edge detection, stereo matching and image enhancement. Hence, a novel feature-level multi-focus image fusion technique has been proposed which fuses multi-focus images. Thus, the results of extensive experimentation performed to highlight the efficiency and utility of the proposed technique is presented. The proposed work further explores comparison between fuzzy based image fusion and neuro fuzzy fusion technique along with quality evaluation indices.
Graphs have become the dominant life-form of many tasks as they advance a

contact into groups today such as “family”, “friends”, “colleagues” etc. Thus,
the need to analyze such user social graph via implicit clusters, enables the
dynamism in contact management. Study seeks to implement this dynamism
via a comparative study of deep neural network and friend suggest algorithm.
We analyze a user’s implicit social graph and seek to automatically create
custom contact groups using metrics that classify such contacts based on a
user’s affinity to contacts. Experimental results demonstrate the importance
of both the implicit group relationships and the interaction-based affinity in
suggesting friends.
This paper projects Gryllidae Optimization Algorithm (GOA) has been applied to solve optimal reactive power problem. Proposed GOA approach is based on the chirping characteristics of Gryllidae. In the wake of the sudden replacement of wood and kerosene by gas cookers for several purposes in Nigeria, gas leakage has caused several damages in our homes, Laboratories among others. installation of a gas leakage detection device was globally inspired to eliminate accidents related to gas leakage. We present an alternative approach to developing a device that can automatically detect and control gas leakages and also monitor temperature. The system detects the leakage of the LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) using a gas sensor, then triggred the control system response which employs ventilator system, Mobile phone alert and alarm when the LPG concentration in the air exceeds a certain level. The performance of two gas sensors (MQ5 and MQ6) were tested for a guided decision. Also, when the temperature of the environment poses a danger, LED (indicator), buzzer and LCD (16x2) display was used to indicate temperature and gas leakage status in degree Celsius and PPM respectively. Attension was given to the response time of the control system, which was ascertained that this system significantly increases the chances and efficiency of eliminating gas leakage related accident.
Feature selection problem is one of the main important problems in the text and data mining domain. This paper presents a comparative study of feature selection methods for Arabic text classification. Five of the feature selection methods were selected: ICHI square, CHI square, Information Gain, Mutual Information and Wrapper. It was tested with five classification algorithms: Bayes Net, Naive Bayes, Random Forest, Decision Tree and Artificial Neural Networks. In addition, Data Collection was used in Arabic consisting of 9055 documents, which were compared by four criteria: Precision, Recall, F-measure and Time to build model. The results showed that the improved ICHI feature selection got almost all the best results in comparison with other methods.
In this paper Gentoo Penguin Algorithm (GPA) is proposed to solve optimal reactive power problem. Notary is an official authorized to make an authentic deed regarding all deeds, agreements and stipulations required by a general rule. Activities carried out at the notary office such as recording client data and file data still use traditional systems that tend to be manual. The problem that occurs is the inefficiency in data processing and providing information to clients. Clients have difficulty getting information related to the progress of documents that are being taken care of at the notary's office. The client must take the time to arrive to the notary's office repeatedly to check the progress of the work of the document file. The purpose of this study is to facilitate clients in obtaining information about the progress of the work in progress, and make it easier for employees to process incoming documents by implementing an administrative system. This system was developed with the waterfall system development method and uses the Multi-Channel Access Technology integrated in the website to simplify the process of delivering information and requesting information from clients and to clients with Telegram and SMS Gateway. Clients will come to the office only when there is a notification from the system via Telegram or SMS notifying that the client must come directly to the notary's office, thus leading to an efficient time and avoiding excessive transportation costs. The overall functional system can function properly based on the results of alpha testing. The results of beta testing conducted by distributing the system feasibility test questionnaire to end users, get a percentage of 96% of users agree the system is feasible to be implemented.

Proposed Hybridized Mine Blast Algorithm with Harmony Search algorithm (MH) has been tested on standard IEEE 14, 300 bus test systems. Real power loss has been reduced considerably by the proposed algorithm. Then Hybridized Mine Blast Algorithm with Harmony Search algorithm (MH) tested in IEEE 30, bus system (with considering voltage stability index)- real power loss minimization, voltage deviation minimization, and voltage stability index enhancement has been attained.
Artificial Neural Networks have proved their efficiency in a large number of research domains. In this paper, we have applied Artificial Neural Networks on Arabic text to prove correct language modeling, text generation, and missing text prediction. In one hand, we have adapted Recurrent Neural Networks architectures to model Arabic language in order to generate correct Arabic sequences. In the other hand, Convolutional Neural Networks have been parameterized, basing on some specific features of Arabic, to predict missing text in Arabic documents. We have demonstrated the power of our adapted models in generating and predicting correct Arabic text comparing to the standard model. The model had been trained and tested on known free Arabic datasets. Results have been promising with sufficient accuracy.
In the present-day communications speech signals get contaminated due to
various sorts of noises that degrade the speech quality and adversely impacts
speech recognition performance. To overcome these issues, a novel approach
for speech enhancement using Modified Wiener filtering is developed and
power spectrum computation is applied for degraded signal to obtain the
noise characteristics from a noisy spectrum. In next phase, MMSE technique
is applied where Gaussian distribution of each signal i.e. original and noisy
signal is analyzed. The Gaussian distribution provides spectrum estimation
and spectral coefficient parameters which can be used for probabilistic model
formulation. Moreover, a-priori-SNR computation is also incorporated for
coefficient updation and noise presence estimation which operates similar to
the conventional VAD. However, conventional VAD scheme is based on the
hard threshold which is not capable to derive satisfactory performance and a
soft-decision based threshold is developed for improving the performance of
speech enhancement. An extensive simulation study is carried out using
MATLAB simulation tool on NOIZEUS speech database and a comparative
study is presented where proposed approach is proved better in comparison
with existing technique.
Previous research work has highlighted that neuro-signals of Alzheimer’s disease patients are least complex and have low synchronization as compared to that of healthy and normal subjects. The changes in EEG signals of Alzheimer’s subjects start at early stage but are not clinically observed and detected. To detect these abnormalities, three synchrony measures and wavelet-based features have been computed and studied on experimental database. After computing these synchrony measures and wavelet features, it is observed that Phase Synchrony and Coherence based features are able to distinguish between Alzheimer’s disease patients and healthy subjects. Support Vector Machine classifier is used for classification giving 94% accuracy on experimental database used. Combining, these synchrony features and other such relevant features can yield a reliable system for diagnosing the Alzheimer’s disease.

NLC approach has justified the challenges facing in LLC approach. In this paper we make a survey of some models that have been proposed to tackle the problem of LLC. We show the relevant aspects of each model, in order to characterize the parameters that we should take in account to achieve a spectrum access opportunity.

The literature review and previous studies of online educations gains are explored and summarized in this research. Emerging trends in online education are discussed in detail, and strategies to implement these trends are explained. Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.

and robustness.
2. Conventional Direct Torque Control
The DTC scheme is very simple in function; in its basic configuration, it consists of
hysteresis controllers, torque and flux estimator and a switching table. The basic concept of
DTC is to control directly both the stator flux linkage (or rotor flux linkage, or magnetizing flux
linkage) and electromagnetic torque of machine simultaneously by the selection of optimum
inverter switching modes [7].
The block diagram for direct torque control is shown in Figure 1. The control stator flux
φ s* and torque Te* magnitudes are compared with the respective estimated values, and the
errors are processed through hysteresis band controller [8]. With this information, a voltage
selector determines the stator voltage that is required to increase or decrease the variables
(torque or flux) according to the demands [7]. The selection of the appropriate voltage vector is
based on a switching table.

The estimator calculates the stator flux and the electromagnetic torque. The inputs of
the state estimator are the stator voltage and current space vectors. The stator flux space vector

2.2. Flux and Torque Comparator
The error between the estimated torque T and the reference torque T* is the input of a
three level hysteresis comparator, whereas the error between the estimated stator flux
magnitude Φ and the reference stator flux magnitude Φ* is the input of a two level hysteresis
comparator.
2.3. Selection of Stator Voltage
The selection of the appropriate voltage vector is based on the switching table given in
Table 1. The input quantities are the flux sector and the outputs of the two hysteresis
comparators.

The aim is to achieve an effective control both steady in transient and this by the
combination of different switching. Its depending on the determinate the phase of the estimated
flux angle (δ=Arctang(Φβ/Φα)) and the evolution of the magnitude of the flux as well as the
evolution of the estimated torque can choose the voltage Vs to be applied so as to respect the

compared to reference the flux and the torque values and the resultant errors are applied to the
hysteresis comparators as inputs. Two different hysteresis comparators, as flux and torque
comparators, generate other control parameters on the DTC method. According to the
hysteresis comparators outputs, the observed angle of flux linkage and using a switching table,
optimum voltage vectors are selected and applied to the inverter.
2.4. Voltage Source Inverter Model
The principle is expressed by the sequence imposed on the static switches which
perform the modulation width of the pulses of the voltages applied to the stator windings of the
machine. By using the switching status (Sa, Sb and Sc) produced by the switching table, the
stator voltages in the reference frame are [10].

3. Fuzzy Logic Based Direct Torque Control
The torque and flux ripples compose a real problem in DTC induction motor drive [9].
The fuzzy logic has been proved powerful and able to resolve many problems. A fuzzy controller
seems to be a reasonable choice to evaluate the amplitude of torque hysteresis band according
to the torque ripple level. It is become one of the most successful of today’s technology is used
to design nonlinear systems in control applications. There are many types of fuzzy logic

controller for this particular application. A Mamdani-type fuzzy logic controller, which contains a
rule base.

The fuzzification is performed by the membership function. The performance of the
fuzzy controller is based upon both the shape of the membership function and the fuzzy
reasoning rules [9-11]. The fuzzy reasoning rules in the system are expressed in IF-THEN
format; in this fuzzy system the Mamdani’s method is employed for the optimal fuzzy reasoning
algorithm [11].
The fuzzy controller based on Direct Torque Control is designed to have three inputs
and three outputs. The inputs are error of torque, the error in stator and the stator flux angle
respectively, the outputs are the switching status (S1, S2 and S3) to get the voltage space
vector, replaced the two hysteresis and the switching table, The Figure 2 shows the design of
fuzzy logic system in Matlab/simulink and also the configuration of its inputs and outputs as
membership functions .

Two linguistic values, negative, and positive denoted as N and P respectively are used
to fuzzify flux linkage error domain. Three linguistic values, negative, zero, and positive as N, Z,
and P respectively are used to fuzzify torque error domain [12].

The errors of flux linkage is related value of stator’s flux Φs* and real value of stator’s

3.2. The Electromagnetic Torque Error
The electromagnetic torque error ΔTem is related to desired torque value Te_ref and
actual torque value Te subject to equation 7 as shown below. The torque error membership
function is decomposed in three fuzzy; their membership function’s distribution is shown in
Figure 4 which is entitled negative error (N), zero error (EZ), and positive error (P).

3.3. Angle of Flux Linkage θs
The angle of flux linkage θs is an angle between stator’s flux Φs and a reference axis is

3.4. Fuzzy Logic Rules
The proper activities of fuzzy system are based on derivational (inferential) rules,
similarly to expert systems. The benefit of such representation of knowledge is the transparency
for users. These rules are of type IF and THEN and are illustrated with the help of Look up
table. The total number of rules after their reduction is 42. By analyzing the structure of
conventional DTC, the switching table it can be printed as fuzzy rules. The fuzzy system
comprises many groups of rules, each of which contains 42 rules. Therefore, a first fuzzy logic-
switcher can replace the switching table and the hysteresis controllers [14]. Each fuzzy rule can
be described using the three input linguistic variables dF, dT and θ and three outputs are the
switching status (S1, S2 and S3) to get voltage vector VS in the direct torque control with fuzzy
logic rules base. In this article, Mamdani’s fuzzy rule base model is developed to perform the
function of proposed Direct Torque Fuzzy Control each one of the rules can be described by the

input variables and the control variable, which is the switching state (Si). For example, Table 2

3.5. Voltage Vectors
In the conventional direct torque control method, while the stator flux vector rotation, we
have to use six active voltage vector to keep stator flux vector in defined error limits [15]. The
subset of the fuzzy controller output is assigned to be seven discrete voltage vectors (one zero
voltage vector and six non-zero voltage vectors), which makes the defuzzifation
unnecessary [11]. The membership functions of the output space voltage vectors are depicted
in Figure 6.

3. Résults and Simulations
The simulations results were carried out to verify the effectiveness of using direct torque
control with fuzzy logic strategy. In order to valid the quality of the drives, a simulation test on
1.5 kW asynchronous machines has been performed [12-14]. The proposed system is shown in
Figure 7. The model is done with a Flux reference value and variable Torque reference value
with conventional DTC and using fuzzy logic .This model includes subsystems for flux and
torque calculations and fuzzy logic controller. The test was carried out during 0.1 second. A step
change of reference torque was applied from 8N.m to 18 N.m at t=0.09s while the stator flux
reference is maintained at 1.2 Wb.
The implementation of the flux and torque estimators block is used to estimate the flux
based on currents and tensions from the asynchronous machine block. To estimate the torque
as a function of flux and currents. Based on the formulas mentioned above (1) to (4), a Simulink
models for flux and torque estimators have been designed as shown in Figure 8.

The Figure 9 and 10 show the torque response, the stator flux trajectory using
conventional DTC. The torque response which is less than the reference with ripples and the
trajectory of stator flux which it is observed that the value of stators flux decreases between the
sectors.

The Figure 11 shows the stator current taken by motor which is a sinusoidal in nature.
The asynchronous machine takes high current initially and then it becomes a sinusoidal. The
Figure 12 presents that when the machine is powered by a voltage inverter controlled, for high
torque it takes more current as compared to low torque reference.

The Figure 13 shows the steady state torque response of the machine with direct torque
control and fuzzy control are employed. Under conventional DTC, the torque ripple rises to an
average of 8 Nm with overshoot peaks of up to18 Nm. It can be seen that the fuzzy controller is
able to reduce the torque ripple to 2 Nm and also dramatically reduce the overshoot. The ripple
of torque with FDTC strategy is significantly reduced Figure 13 compared to Figure 9. The ripple
of stator flux trajectory with FDTC is significantly reduced Figure 14 compared to Figure 10.

The Figure 15, 16 shows the estimated flux remains constant and equal to the 1.2 Wb
reference value using conventional DTC and DTC with the fuzzy control, respectively. The fuzzy
control reduces the stator flux ripple, When the flux vector is in a sector N = i presented in
Figure 12, the flux control and torque can be achieved by selecting one of eight voltage vectors
Vo to V7.
4. Conclusion
Direct Torque Control is supposed to be one of the best controllers for driving any
asynchronous machine. Its main principles have been introduced and deeply explained. It is
also demonstrated in this article that the method of DTC also allows the independent and
decoupled the torque and the stator flux. A model has been fully developed. From the results it
is apparent that DTC strategy is simpler to implement than the flux vector control method
because voltage modulators and co-ordinate transformations are not required. Although, it
introduces some disadvantages, being the torque ripple one of the worst. The angle of flux
linkage θs is an angle between stator’s flux Ψs and a reference axis. Though, DTC has high
dynamic performance, it has few drawbacks such as high ripple in torque, flux, current and
variation in switching frequency of the inverter. The main focus of this article is to minimize the
torque pulsations in the conventional DTC. After all the simulation work on conventional DTC
done, the proposed control technique using fuzzy control was modeled and simulated in
MATLAB/SIMULINK environment. The simulation results proved the superiority of the proposed
control technique. The torque ripples of the motor are lesser, in parallel, the flux fluctuations are
reduced according to conventional direct torque control technique. Moreover, the hysteresis
controllers and switching table that used in conventional method are removed. The use of fuzzy
logic control gave satisfactory results and reduces the computation burden by avoiding
unnecessary complex mathematical modeling of the nonlinear systems.
