Storyboards are a sequence of images and words drawn together to form a narrative plan. They are used by directors to plan shot sequences, camera angles, placement and movement, and provide a visual budget. There are two main types of storyboards - rough storyboards used early in development as a discussion tool, and clean up storyboards which provide more detailed information like timing, audio, and visual effects. Storyboards are used for films, animations, music videos, computer games, multimedia, comics, advertising and more to effectively plan the visual components of a project.
