13. Summary
The hypothesis was proven correct. Most students plan on taking at
least one online class during their education program. According to
research conducted with eighteen college students, 78% plan on
taking at least one online class. Students that were surveyed
attended community colleges, four-year colleges or universities, or
graduate programs. All students surveyed were between the ages of
18 and 25. Ninety-four percent of the students live off campus. Most
students live within thirty miles of the college they attend. The two
biggest reasons students take online classes is a larger choice of
colleges they may attend and some students are required to take
online classes. This study indicates that many colleges and universities
that plan on expanding their online program are justified in the
expansion.
