3. Project Scope
Empower through education and awareness :
I. Organize 100 educational awareness program in rural part of UP/Bihar. Out of
total, 70 programs are projected to organize in the girls college. We believe in the
theory “If you educate a boy, you educate an individual – if you educate a
girl, you educate a family”. The whole objective is to provide a mass level
benefits and empower people in our region.
II. Emplace the Career Path Finder (3*5 feet, plastic coated) chart in 100 colleges of
UP / Bihar. More than 100 careers can be traced out through this career chart and
can be used as a reference by the students / parents/teachers.
III. “Career Path Finder” resource book and “Empower Through Education and
Awareness” PowerPoint presentation will create a great combination in education
arena and will use by our volunteers as an reference in each program.

4. Background
Project Anjoria was initiated in December 2007 by NRI Bhojpurians staying in
Singapore with the following core objective:
To provide scholarships, fellowships and other forms of financial assistance to the
needy and deserving students, primarily focusing to the Bhojpuri speaking
region, for pursuing education, training, skill development etc.
To grant financial assistance to any educational institution in Bhojpuri region which
in turn could grant scholarships & awards for excellence in studies, distribute books
& note books for poor and deserving students etc.
To create awareness and provide guidance in latest educational trends for the
mass in Bhojpuri speaking region.
To organize sessions which can help in career growth and explore career
opportunities for Bhojpurians staying in Singapore.
Anjoria Scholarship and beneficiary :
1.Shashi Kumar Bharati(Bhadohi) - Shashi was doing a part-time job at a petrol pump
along with his education. Bhojpuri Singapore had sponsored his higher secondary
education.
2.DeenBandhu Pandey(Gorakhpur) -Bhojpuri Singapore has sponsored 50% of his cost
of SAP program. It had also guided him during his graduation which led to his pursuing
the SAP program.

5. Background
3.Rahul Bahuayami Shodh Sansthan - This NPO is running a school in Delhi for poor
students with the help of donations. Bhojpuri Singapore had sponsored the cost of
education of five of its students for the 2009 year.
4.Rahul (Dewaria) -Rahul belongs to a family of agriculturists. Bhojpuri Singapore has
sponsored his secondary and higher secondary education.
5.Career counseling session - 2009 :
The idea of bringing this initiative was to overcome a major area of weakness of
Bhojpurians, and empowering them to develop and compete with the world in all
aspects. The project involves distribution of books on English speaking, like “Rapidex
English speaking course”, along with a primer on career guidance, in Bhojpuri region.
The career guidance primer is a template prepared by highly skilled professionals.
There was 22 career counseling session organized in 2009 along with the
distribution of “Rapidex” in the Bhojpuri region, which was a great success of
phase 1 project.
