Problem Statement
 There are differences in opinions and working style to be
followed between Frank Davis and Thomas Green. Also,
there is lack of communication between them. This may
have a bad effect on the company's team work and
productivity if not corrected soon.
Background of The Problem
1. Out of line promotion of Thomas Green
2. Less efforts on Green’s part to follow the company’s work culture
3. Green having preconceived notion for Davis
4. Green not using his seniors advice to make up for his less experience
5. Green not willing to change his working style and start providing data
points
Assumptions
1. Davis was really bothered by not being consulted before filling up Senior
Market Specialist position
2. Green was least concerned about the protocols and work culture of company
3. Thomas Green has been self centric and inflexible in his approach to learning
new things
4. The corrective measures suggested by Frank Davis are intended for the
benefit of the company
5. Shannon McDonald is capable of taking a rational decision regarding Green’s
future in the company
Possible Solutions
1. Reduce communication gap
2. 360⁰ Feedback
3. Green should have Concrete Data while pitching new ideas
4. Green should change his attitude towards criticism
Recommended Solution
After a thorough study we have concluded that:
They need to work on reducing the communication gap between them and
hence improve their professional relationship.
Implementation
1. Training programs for newly promoted employees
2. Frequency of one on one feedback sessions for new employees should
be increased for the initial phase
3. Organizing outdoor activities for Team Building
