This section consist of heavy duty centrifugal compressors for Air,Synthesis gas and Ammonia.
REFORMING &SHIFT CONVERSION
PRE-REFORMER
it is adiabatic reformer 20% methane is reformed in pre reformer
DESULPHURIZATION SECTION
It consists of two reactors filled with HTZ-05 catalyst .
PRIMARY REFORMER
It is induced draft rectangle type furnace consist of 260 tubes filled with “Ni” (17%) based
catalyst, 160 burners
SECONDARY REFORMER
It is auto thermal reformer having 12 air nozzels for combustion
WASTE HEAT BOILER
At the end of secondary reformer K.S steam boiler is installed .Capacity of boiler is 260
tons/hr.
HIGH TEMPERATURE SHIFT CONVERTER
This reactor is filled with pyrophoric “Fe3O4”.
LOW TEMPERATURE SHIFT CONVERTOR
This reactor is filled with “Cu” (lk-820 Holder Topsoe) catalyst
CO2 REMOVAL & METHANATION

3. I have worked on co2 recovery i.e, CATACARB .
CO2 ABSORBER:
K2CO3 solution is used to absorb CO2 at 29kg/cm2
. Semi-lean solution is showered from middle at 130Co
and lean
solution showered from top at 95Co
.Absorber consisting of 05 Bed of packing material.
CO2 STRIPPER:
Two CO2 strippers having 03 Bed of packing material each 02 bubble cap trays. Operating
pressure 0.5kg/cm2
.
CO2 REBOILER:
02 Thermosyphon Reboilers are used to strip out CO2 and for heat input to the solution.
METHANATION:
NiO2 Catalyst, single bed is used to convert CO and CO2 in to Methane. CO2 at outlet gas is <10 ppm.
CONDENSATE RECOVERY UNIT:
It consist of condensate stripper, condenser,accumulator, reflux condensate transfer
pump.
DEAERATOR AREA
This unit consist of three heavy multistage centrifugal pumps
ACHIEVEMENTS
• Commissioning and decommissioning of Ammonia storage tanks
• Commissioning of DCS Yokogawa Centum CS 3000 from conventional panel
• Replacement of Ammonia Converter basket from S-200 to S-300
• Trained as a first aid provider.
• Experience of working with China’s errection Company CNCEC.

I am working as a Shift Engineer in Fatima Fertilizer company limited .I have more than
10 years of experience as a Shift Supervisor.

 Keep plant in good condition to receive best production.
 Handle emergencies ,like plant upsets .ammonia leakage,Oil leakage and

 Carry out HAZOP survey.
 ERRECTION AND COMMISSIONING of plant AS A PROCESS TEAM.
ESTABLISH START UP AND SHUT DOWN PROCEDURES.
 Establish first investigation report of any accidient.
