2. The questions answered here were quite personal but this is to see,
what type of audience will be interested in my music magazine. More
than half of the gender was female and only some were male this could
suggest what gender mostly reads a music magazine and I could link
my magazine to the gender but on the other hand I don’t want my
magazine to be biased so i’m going to try and make it attract both. This
shows that most of the people who took my questionnaire was female.
This graph shows that the age range that was popular was 11-
16 but 60% were this age, this will be linked and added to my
magazine as I will try to make it attract to that age range. This
shows that mostly students/younger adults took the
questionnaire and majority of them will be interested in buying it
as the music magazine will be suited to this age as it will have
mature language and the text will be suited to younger people.
3. This is one of the key graphs as this will help me attract the target
audience. The results will help me generated by the graph to what
the magazines appearance and genre will be. The results show
that the most popular was ‘hip-hop/rap’ as 45% liked this genre
and ‘pop’ by 25%. This is a interesting results as I am going to put
most of the music genres inside my magazine but mostly these
genres as they are the most popular. I want a mix in genres as this
will attract a lot of my target audience. I might include one of these
genres on my front cover with other genres around the main to
highlight the main concept of the magazine.
This result was very interesting as the majority of the results
have not read a magazine so this will make it hard for me, in
my opinion as I need to make my magazine attract to my
target audience that does not read them as 45% have not but
on the other hand 35% do not much but often. From these
results I am going to try and make people read magazine so i
will make my apperance of my magazine to look appealing to
the chosen audience.
4. This graph is also important as this will help me attract the
audience by what they want inside . The results were very clear as
they mostly want ‘the charts’ as over 60% chose this, this suggest
that this is very popular and I can simply use this to help chose
what my target audience will want inside as I want to include the
top 3 elements that were popular and fit these into my magazine.
This graph shows what is the popular and ideal price, the most
popular was ‘0-1.99’ this shows that this is a very low and
suitable price for my audience as they are teenagers/young
adults and they will just be starting jobs etc and leaving
education so this price is good and reachable for my audience.
5. The graph shows that the majority of the people who took
my survey, chose ‘0-51’ which was over 80% that is over
three quarters this is very certain that I will only include
them to not make my magazine be boring and too much
information.
This graph was very interesting as both ‘yes’ and ‘no’
were both 35% this shows that majority was half and my
audience is either interest/not to buy one. This shows that
some will buy and some won’t. I need to make my
magazine attract both ways as they need to buy it so I
need my magazine appeal to the audience by linking
back to the genre.
6. At the end of my survey I used an opinion
question to see what they exactly want to help
me get a clear idea and these answers will
help me adapt to the magazine.
Majority said vouchers which could help
promote other music companies and band to
show that my magazine is popular. Also
vouchers will interest my audience as it is like
a ‘free’ present that will help people to buy it.
Also a popular suggestion was upcoming
events and coming soon events that will also
make my magazine appeal as people will be
fascinated in what is coming in this year.
