2. 1. How old are you?
55% of the audience I got feedback from were aged 16-
20 which is within my target audience range. 35% were
aged 21-25 which is still in my target audience range and
10% were aged 31-35. This shows that the feedback I
have received is mostly helpful because they are opinions
from the age group my magazine will be going out to.
3. 2. What gender are you?
65% of the audience was female and 35% was male which
means that both male and female gave feedback on my
magazine. This is good because my magazine is aimed at
both male and females so it gives me feedback from both
gender’s perspectives. This shows that it was a good idea
for me to aim my magazine at both genders because even
though the majority is female, 7/20 people who answered
my questionnaire were male.
4. 3. Considering the content, how far do you agree
that £2.99 is a fair price for this magazine?
13/20 people who answered my questionnaire said
they strongly agreed that £2.99 was a fair price for my
magazine. The rest all said they agreed. Out of the 20
people who answered my questionnaire 0 said they
disagreed, therefore I know my magazine is not too
expensive or out of my target audience’s price limit.
This also ensures that it people don’t think that it is too
much than it is worth.
5. 4. Looking at the front cover of this magazine,
what appeals to you?
40% of the feedback I received for this question said that
the main image was appealing, however 40% also said the
names of the bands and artist featured was appealing. 15%
said the overall layout of the page and 5% said the colour
scheme. This suggests that there are multiple features
which are appealing about my magazine but the main
image and bands/artists featured are the most attracting.
6. 5. Looking at the contents page, what appeals
to you?
The most popular answer for this was the bands and
artists that feature in the magazine at 50%. 40% said
the articles inside the magazine and 10% said the
images that link to the articles. This shows that the
bands and artists are the most attracting thing to my
contents page which is good because it encourages the
readers to buy the magazine and read the articles to
find out more about their favourite bands.
7. 6. Looking at the double page spread article,
what appeals to you?
75% of the audience said the main image was the thing
that appealed to them. This shows that my main image is
very eye catching and should encourage people to buy
the magazine. 4/20 people said the article attracted them
to the double page spread and 5% said the article’s
headline and the font used.
8. 7. How far do you agree that the articles written
on the contents page are appropriate for the
magazine?
50% of the audience said strongly agree and 50% just said
agree . Due to none of the 20 people saying disagree this
shows that all my articles are relevant and appropriate for
the pop punk genre of a music magazine. It also suggests
that my content of my magazine fits the genre correctly.
9. 8. After looking at the magazine pages, what genre
of music would you say this magazine is for?
100% of my audience said pop punk for my magazine
which shows that it is clear to everybody what genre my
magazine is. This makes it apparent to people searching to
buy a magazine that mine is pop punk and any fans of pop
punk will know to buy my magazine as it has many genre
stylistics which show this clearly.
10. 9. Would you be interested in buying this
magazine?
90% of my audience said they would be interested in buying
my magazine. That is 18/20 that would like to buy my
magazine. 10% of my audience said they wouldn’t be
interested in buying my magazine which could be due to
them not having an interest in the pop punk style of music.
The majority of the feedback said they would so that means
that my magazine looks professional and entertaining.
11. 10. Do you think this magazine suits the
target audience of 16-25 year olds?
100% of my audience said yes to my question which is
beneficial because I now know that even though not all of
the people who answered my questionnaire were in my
age range, they still agreed that it was for people aged 16-
25. This shows from my front cover, contents page and
double page spread, you can tell that it is for a young
audience which is what I was aiming for.
