1. Form of music video
This video is a narrative as the storyline in the video relates to the
lyrics of the song. It is also a performance video as the main artist is
singing the song and playing on the piano acting as if he's creating
the song at the scene.
Cinematography
The majority of the video is filmed in a long shot and medium shots.
This is so that the scene of the video is filmed throughout. The
scenery is quite romantic however distant at the same time as the
woman he is singing to is separated from him by the window. At the
scene of the shower it is filmed in a medium close up which allows
the audience to feel the essence of their love for each other in this
scene. When the artist is singing at the piano it is filmed with a close
up shot which allows the audience to closely analyse his facial
expressions in order to connect with the artist.
Relationship between sound and images
The whole music video is filmed in black and white which sets
gloomy and depressing connotations. He sings about them both
giving all their love to each other passionately whilst playing on the
piano which may be seen as a romantic way to express a mans love
to his girlfriend. He is also singing to her as she poses towards him
outside of the window, although he is behind a window, he seems
very passionate with expressing his love for her.
Mise en scene
The piano may be used in this video to represent his musical skills as
well as his love and passion for music as well as the woman he is
singing to throughout the music video. The window is also used to
showcase the woman he is singing to in the video and as an
illustration of his infatuation of her appearance as well as the love he
wants from her. She is dressed in a swimming costume or naked
throughout as well which connotes purity, possibly purity of their
love
Effects
The music video is filmed in black and white which sets the scene of
the video. The audience are easily able to adapt their mood to a
gloomy atmosphere represented throughout the video.
Audience
I think the target audience would be for adults as he isn't singing and
acting out young love, with the marriage at the end, I think it would
be easier for an older and more mature generation to relate to.
Institutions
Director: Nabil Elderkin
Composer: John Stephens, Toby Gad

Representations
I think this is a representation of a much mature relationship or
marriage. He is representing the seriousness of his love and
relationship as the music video is filmed with his actual wife.
