Chris Brown- Love More
Form of music video
This is a performance due to the main artist performing on stage
towards the camera. It may also be seen as a hybrid with narrative
as he lip synchs throughout the video
Cinematography
“come closer” is when his face is filmed with a CU shot
Relationship between sound and images
Miguel dances throughout the video to the music he is singing to as a
part of his performance. The people playing instruments in the
background and the background singers are singing according to the
lyrics within the song. “come closer” is when his face is filmed with a
CU shot
Mise en scene
He uses dancers and instruments in the setting of a live concert to
make the audience feel as if he’s performing to them. It also gives
the feeling that he is performing for the character so it feels like a
live performance. He is also dresses in a suit with a polka dot shirt to
enhance the jazz genre within his song.
Effects
The lighting on the close up shot of Miguel is shadowed to just show
certain parts of his face in time with the beat of the song. When he’s
singing, it usually focuses mainly on his lips singing
Audience
I think the main audience or this music video is for attention of
females. This is because Miguel is singing towards the camera. He
does things that may be seen as sexual when facial features are
hidden with shadows. His mouth and lips is the main feature that is
in the lighting and this is of him licking his lips and grinning towards
the camera. He may be trying to attract female attention by doing so.

Representations
The background dancers faces aren’t really filmed throughout the
video however their body’s while dancing are shown throughout the
video as a silhouette in short cuts throughout. This is a general
representation of women in music videos being objectified by male
artists
2. Form of music video
Performance- there are dancers throughout the video and Chris
Brown himself dancing towards the camera to the song. The lip
synching may also suggest it’s a narrative as well as a performance
Cinematography
There are cuts throughout the video to go with the fast beat of the
music. The camera is also sometimes filmed from a high angle
when filming the dancers, this could be to show the choreography
clearly.
Relationship between sound and images
The dancers within the video dance according to the beat in the
music. Chris browns gestures throughout the video also go according
to the lyrics of the song. the different cultural dance moves are
according to the words and change in beat of the song i.e. salsa,
breakdancing etc. The setting is in a club therefore there is a focus on
the alcohol and music within the video
Mise en scene
The costume, of the dancers on different cultural dancing differs i.e.,
the salsa dancer wears a red dress in the music video. The dancing in
general is all part of the setting in a club which is portrayed with the
crowd, alcohol and lighting within the scene.
Effects
The fast cuts according to the beat of the song builds the energy of
the music and would make the audience feel within the frame. It
emphasises the beat in the song as well as the dance moves.
Audience
There isn’t a specific audience this music video is aimed a as Chris
Brown himself does the dance moves of some of the women in the
video therefore he wants the attention of his female audience as
well as the male audience using the women in the video.
Institutions

Representations
This is a representation of the rnb genre however he tries to include
a sci-fi effect within the video with the use of effects at the starting
of the video. He also presents the different cultures within the music
video with the different styles of dancing and the representation of
young people enjoying themselves

3. Form of music video
Performance- Miley Cyrus dances and lip syncs throughout her video
to the lyrics of her song
Conceptual- it may also be seen as a conceptual video as its based
around the concept of ‘having fun’ throughout the video.
Cinematography
Relationship between sound and images
Throughout the video, there are props that act out or spell out the
lyrics to the song. She sings that she “cant stop” having fun which is
what she is performing throughout the video as well as the
background dancers. There are also dance routines that are ongoing
throughout the video to the song itself.
Mise en scene
Using props such as folls and teddy bears throughout shows the
immaturity and fun the director tries to create throughout the video.
However, her maturity is shown through her costume and makeup
i.e. red lipstick which connotes love and lust.
Effects
There arent many effects within this video. Mainly the shots cut into
different scenes to film the different props, dance moves and
costumes.
AudienceI think the target audience for this music video is young
adults as there is mild nudity through the actors costume and the
dance moves. The concept is also what young adults are able to
relate to as the nature is too mature for a child.
Institutions
2013 RCA Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment
Representations This is a representation of the rnb and pop genre. It
may also represent the new young generation of partying and always
having fun. Women's sexuality is on-going throughout the video as
well as cultural dancing i.e. the twerking etc.
