Responsibilities
• Managing participants including tracking of participant’s progress, maintaining a participant log book,
tracking participants performance and providing weekly quantitative and qualitative information and reports
on progress, participation and performance to ALICT program management for purposes of certification and
early detection of participant challenges and retention
• Advising ALICT senior management and tutors on general motivational and retention strategies based on
analysis of student data and in particular identifying participants with challenges or likely drop outs and
working with ALICT management and tutors to design targeted motivational and retention strategies
• Coordinating general communication (non-academic) to the participants including designing and developing
a regular (bi-weekly or monthly) newsletter to the participants in consultation with Communications
Manager
• Provide instructional design support to module development and enhancement including creation of
graphics, animations and integration into Moodle platform in collaboration with ALICT tutors and other
ALICT experts
• Developing and implementing advertising and recruitment strategy (together with GESCI Communications
Manager) for the second cohort of students across Eastern and Southern Africa.
• Coordinating selecting process including being responsible for collecting participants profile information and
maintaining the applicant database
• Developing graphics and multimedia for ALICT modules and website as well as for enhancing and supporting
general ALICT and GESCI communications
Accomplishments
1. Identifying, selecting and admitting course participants from the 16 countries in Africa which
resulted to graduating 485 knowledge society experts in Africa.
2. Streamlining the process of accreditation Course accreditation, certification by researching and
implementing tools: Support ALUMNI participants to register successfully for DCU certification.
3. Coordinated the online delivery of content modules by monitoring the participant’s progress
reports, which I designed and developed.
4. Prepared, planned and facilitated workshops in 16 African countries
5. Coordinated the online process, by working with expert tutors, and internal moderators to ensure
the smooth course delivery.
6. Researched and recommended and updated, the assessment process that is integrated with the
LMS. This led to reducing the assessment process to a third of the time. Processes that took three
weeks manually is now done efficiently in 4 days and with a reduced margin of error.

delivering the material through university systems (virtual learning environment MOODLE).
• Organising and coordinating the production of learning resources with external consultants (subject
matter experts and technical consultants) and internal staff from other units.

• Undertaking needs-analysis for the purpose of internal training. (training in ICT )

primarily for online delivery.

• Evaluating and monitoring usability data and management information to determine what processes

Coordinated the online delivery of content modules by monitoring the participant’s progress reports, which I designed and developed. 4. Prepared, planned and facilitated workshops in 16 African countries 5. Coordinated the online process, by working with expert tutors, and internal moderators to ensure the smooth course delivery. 6. Researched and recommended and updated, the assessment process that is integrated with the LMS. This led to reducing the assessment process to a third of the time. Processes that took three weeks manually is now done efficiently in 4 days and with a reduced margin of error.
