3. HOW WE RESPONDED TO
OUR PITCH FEEDBACK
This feedback lets us know that our target audience can
connect to the idea of our film.
It informs us that there is a potentially large audience which
would be positive if we were going to pitch this to a real
production company.
However, they feel that the USP is not unique. This could be a
potential issue as it could not attract a big audience or grab
people’s interest. Although, from watching other similar teen
dramas such as ‘Mean Girls’ and ‘Skins’ which portray teen
life in a very similar way to our pitch, I feel that our film would
still be successful.
6. HOW WE RESPONDED TO
OUR ROUGH CUT
FEEDBACK
We responded to this feedback by deleting a couple of the build
scenes of the protagonist getting ready because they last a bit
too long and we only need to show a brief sense of narrative as
this is a teaser trailer. This connects more to the conventions of
a teaser trailer as the duration is usually between 30-90 seconds
and shows only a basic outline, genre and key themes. We feel
that this works better and looks more like a teaser trailer.
We also cropped out the majority of the scenes which had
dialogue in them, as we didn’t have enough time to separate the
ambient sounds from the dialogue, or muted some essential
scenes that included dialogue.
Also we changed the music to fit the mise en scene. For
example, faster paced guitar solos over the ‘drug trip’ scene.
This means there is a range of music pace to fit the alternating
mise en scene to fit the change in the character.
7. CONTINUED…
In response to our voxpop feedback we were aware that some narrative
themes were evident such as a love triangle, which was encouraging. Also
we received feedback to make some shots shorter to make the end faster
paced, which we took into consideration and thought was effective in
reducing the duration as this also fits in with teaser trailer conventions.
We were also advised to change the colour correction on some shots to
make them darker, which we also achieved easily and believe to be effective
with matching the narrative themes and genre.
(we are aware that our video at times is hard to hear because of ambient noise)
(Desaturation of shot)
8. GROUP FEEDBACK
(There were only a few easy suggested changes to
the teaser trailer which we were able to achieve.)

11. HOW WE RESPONDED TO OUR
FINISHED PRODUCT FEEDBACK
We have received positive feedback about our ancillary texts,
which we achieved through responding to our previous
feedback. We also agree with the feedback about the ambient
noise in the car scene, which we are aware of but did not have
enough time to correct in the editing process.
The feedback about the superimposed shot lets us know that
this special effect worked well to achieve the desired effect.
Also, we have been told that the montage editing at the end is a
bit confusing. However, we feel that in teaser trailers only
narrative themes are shown rather than a full storyline, for
example a pregnancy test which will connote scandal and
possibly conflict, as usually teaser trailers are made whilst the
film is still being shot. Therefore, we feel this feedback is not a
major issue but if we had time we would go back and see if we
could change it to make more sense to the viewer.
